Premium Member Emma and Deacon

Emma, Empress of Unicorn Empire,
esprit de corps of elementary school,
expeditious at exaggerating expression,
eagerly extending empathy of enormous embrace,
endless enthusiasm, exuberant existence.

Deacon, Duke of derring-do,
diligently, doggedly daily to delightful displays
of dauntless daredevil, destruction,
determined gamer, droll demeanor,
dearly dedicated to devouring desserts,
Dad's double, diplomat of Dreamland.

Old Deacon

An old deacon who gossips like an old female goat

Premium Member I Am Deacon Blues

Please allow me to
Introduce myself to you
I'm more than human

I am Deacon Blues
I seem to have lost my muse
Is it all a ruse?

I'm also Robot
Mr. Roboto I am
All made in Japan

I've blown my fuses
Wires all burnt and twisted
All circuits are down

Joints need oiling
And my main frame is boiling
My coils recoiling

My hat's a bit loose
Can't fit into my blue shoes
Or my old black suite

Songs of Dr. Seuss
My life is very obtuse
Ah, what's the use!

I was Mr. Sam
I forgot now who I am
Singing songs of spam

Take it on the lamb
Still butting heads with the ram
My whole world's gone blam!

It's looney toon land
My old ship has hit the sand
Playing with the band

I am now insane
Don't know where to find my brain
Oh, the pain, the pain!

My mind's gone lazy
Everything has gone hazy
This poem's crazy

I remember now
I am and and ancient mandroid
Made in Sirius

It's no fun being
An old ancient alien
Let me be your friend

I am Deacon Blues
And this is my own haiku
My hat's off to you
Form: Haiku

Poem For Deacon Jeanne Miller

Poem For Deacon Jeanne Miller

Was amazed when I found my worst enemy
Actually ended up being I, myself and me
Throughout all of time and deep into space
And, of course, it was me setting the pace.

Out of complete control turned out being
And only myself who was worth seeing
Had an ego within my bright, big head
If only I had listened to God instead.

Should know that blessed will be the one
Who gave God credit for what they had done
It is He who I have religiously recognized
While devil down deep there is disguised.

With devil many times I have been annoyed
God removed my sins and then devil destroyed
A tremendous thought from God did did occur
Instead of him what if Devil had been a her.

So ho, ho, ho and have a very merry time
Up tree of life you will start to timidly climb
When gray, old and top you tried and reached
Was due to great sermon to people you preached.

James Thomas Horn, Retired Veteran

So blessed be our beloved Deacon Jeanne
Never short sighted but hard to see her bean.
