DAILY GRATITUDE CUPCAKES

Today I’m grateful for cupcakes…
although I know cupcakes can’t cure all the sadness on the Earth…
they do have a way of bringing a little happiness 
a little joy
a little mirth…

Because 

with all my years of experience I’ve come to understand…
it is difficult to be unhappy…
with a cupcake in my hand.

Cupcakes

It smells of delicious red velvet cupcakes in the air.
Even though I am diabetic I am also without care,
For I much rather enjoy life as though it is not there.

Deborah makes a meal which we deliver to Ali and her family…

With this week’s meal my grandpa senses were on full alert
for accompanying the meal…Deborah made cupcakes for dessert.

Deborah’s cupcakes not to be eaten by me turns me into a psychopath…

Colors, sprinkles, icing galore.
Warm moist cakes with filling inside.
The cupcakes bake in the oven.
While their sweet smell fills the kitchen.
There's nothing else like this sweet snack.

Fun allows touch of magic moves
With creamy fudge in cupcake grooves;

My Love For Cupcakes

What is love?
Hmm! Love simply is what it is
Maybe, a simple hug sealed within a kiss
A twinkle in the eye or a smile that can melt hearts into butter
If you were to give it another kiss; would turn that butter into a flutter
Lub-dub! Lub-dub! It is as if your heart being reborn inside a sigh!

Cupcakes  on Parade

Lovely yellow, aromatic while it bakes
A  lemon swirl dipped  in coconut flakes
 
Vanilla bean or plump blueberry,
strawberry, raspberry or rum-soaked cherry.

A pb chocolate combo too
with caramel nougat winding through.

Pumpkin bold with lots of spice
with cream cheese frosting layered twice.

For a twist, a  date banana kind
toasted marshmallow with bacon rind.

what happened to the rain,
warm rains of long ago
when every drop of copper
would surely turn to gold-
they must've dried 
upon...a dead mothers pyre
but its a lame excuse to sip cups of blue...

bright ribbons of long ago
when we licked snowflakes
like sweet cupcakes
and tunneled through the silky snow,
they must've drifted beyond the hills
