Will the Eagle ever fly with the Dove

Terrorists rule and innocents die
Missiles rain down from an unfriendly ski
Which rhetoric do you believe
When there is nothing left except to grieve
Will the eagle ever fly with the dove?

Fire lights an unfriendly scene
As a Synagogue burns in an antisemitic theme
The are you Jewish question sorts the crowd
Banned at University Jews are not allowed
Will the eagle ever fly with the dove?

The cult of personality rises as dictators reign
Their armies destroying as their refrain
Ordinary people pay the price
With human lives lost in war’s vice
Will the eagle ever fly with the dove?

What it seems is there is never a time
When its peace on earth and kindness is sublime
How will we find this happiness
Where nations settle and world peace is blessed
Will the eagle ever fly with the dove?

in a democracy
it’s said politics is the art of compromise
papacy

when truth contorts
when God fearing fascists arise
blood sports!

donkeys
freedoms demise
pleas!

in a democracy
when God fearing fascists arise
pleas!

The Fule Lord

The follies of fools
The lord of fools
The fools that are lords
a leader of the damned
Insane the minority of minions
Deplorable and disdained
Blind in the sight of kings and lords
Jester’s of old orange baboons
In golden flossy glossy wigs
Fleeting hair a top fule lords fake façade
In a flock of tweets and Nitwits
Someone said the one eye
man is lord of the blind in the land
of the blind this fool is king
Dressed in nothing but a red tie
& golden fly away sad toupee
The follies of fools a leader
of the damned doomed
And unschooled the folly of fools
the fule lord of one supreme leader to some
Blind in the sight of kings and lords
Burning Republics building empires,
finding legions of cults
a Cult of personality bleeding, pleading
Scheming at the doors of a CLOSED kingdom
tearing apart the fabric of a nation
For the keys to dominion
Someone once said the one eye man
is lord of the blind in the land
of the blind has a fool for a king
Dressed in nothing but Ignorance.
In golden flossy glossy wigs
Fleeting hair top fule lords FRACTURED façade…

They believed a Capitol riot could make a loser a winner,
After failing, they cling to changing facts by terror and thunder.

When a Prophet Dies

when a “prophet” dies

when a “prophet” dies,
finally having been spit out of
a population that seems to
grind their teeth
chattering
chattering
chattering,
when they don’t have someone to
follow,
what do the minions do?

has there been a “prophet” in the making?
did s/he see the writing on the wall?
is there a secrecy already in the mix,
where said smaller circle round the “prophet”
has been given the heads up
regarding the health of the
“holy one?”

are there individuals who once
brainwashed, now gather whatever lil’ bits of
rationality might be left inside them &
suddenly question what a cult of personality
might be
without
said personality?

and is anyone lucky enough to free themselves
from the web of lies, delusions &
complete
utter
idiocy,
during the interim,
no matter how slight,
when one “prophet” dies &
is replaced by
another?
