in a democracy
it’s said politics is the art of compromise
papacy

when truth contorts
when God fearing fascists arise
blood sports!       

donkeys
freedoms demise
pleas!

Duke Beaufort September 2, 2024 at 7:15 PM Anaya, I think this is great! Compromise is a very good thing. When we see the results of different approaches we can focus on what works well provided we are open to the facts and not dedicated to our own outcome. What we face now on the fascist side of the spectrum should frighten all of us. It does have cult appeal, but it's never going to deliver what it promises over the long term...just wealth for a small minority until all gets demolished. Ouch!!

What we have is a representative democracy, pretty good, but not perfect, better than before. No matter how democratically we evolve, unfortunately our base human nature gets in the way, anything approaching perfection. Well done, Robert I Am Anaya August 20, 2024 at 8:56 AM Tonight's, DNC Obama speaks, I was a little bored with last night's convention, same ol same ol, but Hillary was a treat, she noted the barrier-busters who came before her—including former Rep. Shirley Chisholm, who ran for President in 1972; and former Rep. Geraldine Ferraro, who was nominated for vice president in 1984. I was impressed and moved, she could have been bitter, but instead chose to Go Forward! Ty Robby!
