the body's whole but writhe,
the entire head, aches,
the side, annoying throb,
hand's two, far gone,
foot's both drained,
body all bloody wet,
need to hang here and dry out.

Conversation on crucifix
Sun in the eyes
Dying in the air
Of alcoholic steam
For the hopeless
monuments of the Future
Scattered through the civilizations,
Kills the religion
Quench the fire
Hope for consolation,
Conversation on crucifix.

A CASTLE CONTENT
It all depends,
my friends
on the man the lovely picks
Around her neck hung sleepily a crystal crucifix
She chooses wisely with wisdom as her leader
And marble statues simply stood there overwhelmed by the pomp
And taken aback by the circumstance
For this be a man’s one and only chance
To be the hands that fans her brow of heat and desire
As others run the gauntlet and I walk the high wire
And lest my fate my future and an omen be a liar
Tonight I will escort a lady to our castle
I who bloodied the numbers of challengers with accuracy and speed
And I know the lovely’s body beautiful and her want and every need
Her radiance shone off the silk and satin we share
Stroke her arms, kiss her lips and if you must then swear
Her tangible request set me not aback
And should the lady become bored
I will pray her verve be restored
There need not be any strategies to keep her as a prize
Nay, but to evermore gaze into those eyes
And all a man has to do is combine love with ambitious sonatas and then begin to mix
And next time YOU may be chosen by the lovely with that sleepy crystal crucifix

I have it hanging in my house
To be there to remind
That love was given freely by
He, we should seek and find
Propped so carefully on the wall
I love to see it, I’m so proud
I display it there for all to see
Revere His name out loud.
It isn’t just a token to be seen
Nor an adornment for the room
But a symbol; hope, strength and love
By his rising from the tomb
Let it be said, He gave his love
By his dying, He gave it all
So when you look upon it now
See, it’s your faith upon the wall

Blood stained wood and broken souls
blistered skin on burning coals,
blinding sunshine in your face
and no-one sang Amazing Grace.
Shadow of the cross that falls
upon your crumbling holy walls,
casts only darkness in your eye
for you can never answer why.
In righteousness you seek to be
the magistrate of all you see,
but who will judge the magistrate
who stands before his golden gate?
Scourged with mercy, joyous pain
lets you be yourself again,
screaming at the smiling crowd
casting dice to win your shroud.
Your perfect peace is agonized
and flawless faith is just disguised,
to keep your word in all you said
your unheard promise to the dead.
