I am warm wind rising into cold air
I am surging unstable atmosphere
I am the tangible feeling up there
The tension in sky before I appear
The ominous still before the severe
I am our Mother Nature’s rebel child
I am barometric deviant wild
I am lightning strikes waiting to perform
I am the hail and thunder reconciled
A blackened midday sky. I am the storm.

This beautiful nature evokes in me
A solemn truth which I begin to see
So who am I? You may ask or even know
I seek this answer from morning to night in flow!
I am free do you really know me?
I have no shape no body, neither emotion
Yet I blow hot or cold, sometimes gentle
Like a cool breeze making you sentimental
Maybe from an instrument of a divine soul I blow
In all of his many emotions, he controls my flow
Sometimes light or sometimes gusty
Sometimes a storm to clear the dark and musty
My home is this Mighty Universe
I pass through mountains, rivers, forests or valleys
I sway a tree or ruffle petals, or just tease
the birds and the bees
Yes you guessed right, I am the mighty wind, for I too
at times have to fall!

I am grateful for the creation
of nature that God the creator has given to me
it speaks of his greatness
he has used all his paints and brushes
to create the skies, the clouds, the misty mountains
the forests with the trees in every green hue
the deep, deep blue lakes
the rippling streams and the vast oceans and seas
such beauty to behold in flowers
and rainbows after the rain, even the storms
words cannot express the beauty God has created
oh, he has given us all the birds, fish and all creatures
every wild thing, the insects, and those magical butterflies
and only God could have created the hummingbird that flutters
the snow and snowflakes
the moon and the stars- the sunrises and sunsets

Spring Lingers
Winter’s long rage is quiet now
And Spring, once again clothes herself
With the promise of Summer’s warmth.
Yet, she lingers, and listens for
The soft and familiar tread
Of one who joys in her pathways.
But life, pregnant and impatient
Calls for new beginnings and birth,
And heeding; Spring fades into life
That sings and dances anew with
The soft and familiar tread
Of one who joys in her pathways.
