Constrictors Poems | Examples

Today was the first day I held
a sledgehammer with intention
Callouses connect palms to fingers
tiny fleshy boa constrictors.

There is no catharsis
I know this to be a hollow act
With a face smithed of iron,
a body lathed with linseed wood,
and a head full of nothing.

No I am not thinking, I am
in fact refusing to do so.
This is an act of refusal
I am choosing childish behavior.

The empty parking lot
execution spot greets
the glass bodied shelf
Which will no longer take
the space of memories it held.

What should be cold and angular
Void of anything aside reflection
is a monument of mourning
a future I shall never know.

Light refracts upon my cones,
my tunneled vision only to show
a mangled miscarriage of the man
I can never grow into with you.

Remember Suspenders

Do you remember this?
Suspenders for a teenage miss,
Real boa constrictors,
Our hip inhibitors,
Teen boy deterrents,
That's what they meant,
Elastic girdles vanished too,
I remember suspenders, do you?

Premium MemberOf Fond Amusements

The soaring sinews of morning sunrise,
Ascend like attacking phantoms with flailing spears;
They rise thinking of fond amusements in the foggy darkness;
They appear as an apparition appears through an old curtain,
As a suffering ghost lurking, groaning in the back room there,
In the old back mansion
Amidst the dark tuft of beckoning willows,
Out back, hidden and forbidden, their erotic shadows.
Then we stand close together,
I have my fingers on Cape Hatterus,
Gently and firmly, as ripe apples in the wind
Topple, I guided you breathlessly amongst the doilies.
I let my masticating mind fixate visions of contorting sweat.
I, as a force of destiny,
Spiraled straight into boneless sockets.
Don't move female person, you, with wafts of perfume strong,
Stare into me female person, stare into my eyes,
There is no other river to cross,
The boa constrictors have put on blinders.
They don't see you. They don't care.
But I do. As a lone bloom on a strong myrtle branch,
I see you over there,
As much as the sky sees our rising voices,
But now my brain hears your voice,
Yet you are silent.

Gasoline tears

The truck
Plows forward
Into the masses
Blood and destruction
Morality hijacked by abduction
Evil deeds pervade these cloudy days
Compassion is tossed into the sea in place of the devils seduction
Humanity dances with both tears and foe, the meek shall be the victors
Satan’s followers shall face the garrote, headless will be those boa constrictors

Do not be fooled by silent ones and men behind masks disguising their petty angers
Humanity dances with both tears and foe, the meek shall be the victors
Rays of the sun, the glow of the moon, and the beat of loves heart
Flower gardens shall grow tall, on the soil of the rotten evil ones
Goodwill shall peak behind the clouds, hugging humanity
Compassion shall dance on angelic wings
Love and passion triumphant
Plows forward towards
Eternity

Bask in the light
Linger in the shadows
Dig

Earthworms are good and
Slugs are bad
If you’re a gardener, that is
If you’re a bird it doesn’t make a difference
Children love rolly pollies

Some spiders and snakes bite
Most don’t
Daddy long legs don’t
Neither do boa constrictors
But they hug too hard

If you think giving up cigarettes
Or chocolate
Or television’s hard
Try giving up suffering
Now THAT'S an addiction!
