Premium MemberThey confiscated the paradox; they called it unlawful

They confiscated the paradox; they called it unlawful,
Carving the truth to the desired measure,
Shaming the threat and killing the unworthy.
But for years in the grayness created with blood,
Years of inhaling toxic facades and consuming revolts,
He brought jewels to her feet and worshiped
The same idea and image that everyone hated.
In a world of shadows, where words are cut,
And thoughts are shaped like clay,
Truth hides under veils of silence,
While dreams are hunted like prey in the night.
We try to see through the cracks of reality,
To find sparks of light in the dense darkness,
But the paradox, that divine gift, slips through our fingers,
In a world that prefers the silence of comfortable lies.
And yet, in our depths, we know that truth,
Though carved and mutilated, continues to breathe,
A small but unyielding flame that burns,
In the hearts of those who still dare to dream.

Confiscated For Inappropriate Use Of

When we were young,
Some of our toys could have been confiscated,
Just for thinking about using them to harm others for real,
Or if we brought them out and did not share,
When our friends were around.

Now we are adults,
And only a few of us left who remember when this was so,
Fewer still who thinks it was wise,
After the event,
Fewer yet who will stand against the incoming tide,
And voice their gratitude in public,
For lessons learned at no cost of life.

As I look around at the growing list of those taken before their time,
I am haunted by the yet unanswered Question,
Will those that are so few be enough,
To to turn back the tide that is now swirling above the ankles of so many
  adults,
All because when they were children, no toy was taken,
Until they learned its proper use?

Or will the god that I believe in,
Take away all the adult toys,
We haven't a clue, how to use appropriately?
I think not, as he gave us our free will,
For better or worse,
Which leaves us with the few who still believe,
To confiscate, to educate and keep humans in the race.

Confiscated Dream

She too had many dreams
Which had nothing to do with streams.
Although it crashed
She wasn't smashed.
She knew she would somehow manage to beam.

Confiscated Instead of Waited

Confiscated Instead of Waited

Instead of for a while Trump having waited,
Committed a crime and things confiscated;
A liar born
With much scorn;
Was provocative when he always prevaricated.

Premium MemberWeapons Confiscated

I have never even seen a Ninja
But I bet you didn’t know that, did ya?

I am just a peaceful soul
     A video game “Black Hole”

You know your WiFi’s safe with me, don’t ya?

Although each Ninja has the same dark face
I won’t be inviting one to my place

     All weapons confiscated
     At the door; I’m elated

To keep Ninja warfare out of my space
