Jagged Edges

There are edges Time leaves in passing
      Some of them are jagged
 A few edges are grey and badly torn
Sometimes

I fill the expanse of the sky in the daylight,  
I am the colour of royalty,  
I represent loyalty,

I am a rainbow
One color built upon another
Sometimes red hot with inspiration
Often the warmth of an orange autumn

If I were a color, I'd imagine myself being bright

i ride the waves of translucent hues
in shades of blues reflecting playfully the sun
i exude tones of capricious seagreen and 
while scattering flecks of iridescence

The shade of blankets for baby boys
A little girl's darling play unicorn

The robin's nest with her blue eggs' soft jitters
That water inside a blue hydrangea

I Am PINK

As the sun sets in the evening sky,
the pretty blue turns pink.

I am pink for the clouds to drink.
