friend

DEAR FRIEND,
THE END IN FRIEND HITS THE DEEP END,
THE SHADOW I USED TO DEFEND,
AT PRESENT I HAVE NONE TO DEPEND,
ITS AS IF ALL YOU DID WAS PRETEND.

DEAR FRIEND,
WITH THE SHADOWS OF YOU I SPENT,
ALL YOU LEFT WAS A PAINFUL DENT,
CURRENTLY ALL I CAN DO IS VENT,
LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO SERPENT.

DEAR FRIEND,
I NOW HAVE NO TEARS LEFT TO CRY,
YOU HAVE LET MY FEELINGS DIE,
YOU WERE NEVER TRUTHFUL TO ME, YOU LIE!,
I HAD TO WAVE YOU GOODBYE

DEAR FRIEND,
I THANK YOU FOR ONE THING,
FOR TEACHING ME FRIENDSHIP CAN STING,
I AM THE ONE I HAVE TO CLING,
GRATEFUL YOU'RE NOT HERE THIS SPRING.

When those in this nation, cling to a non-diverse attitudes,
hatred finds fertile ground to grow.
It whispers into the cracks of unity.
And becomes the persecutor,
circling us like shadows at dusk.

Too often, we let it linger,
We welcome it, invite it in—
an unwelcome guest.
Seated at the table of humanity.
And so, it festers.

Hatred feeds on our silence,
untold truth.
Strengthening through fear
creeping through the doors,
 left Ajar.

Private School

Do not go to that private school,
It will affect your mental health,
While the education is full of wealth,
Do not put yourself on that shelf,
That shelf is isolated and docile,
Alone despite being surrounded,
A dumb decision to make as a fool,
Used as a tool to start up something new,
Faced with issues many refuse to acknowledge,
So many times I wanted to fall in,
Fall in a pit where i could weep for hours,
Only to be woken by the same sound of laughter,
Laughter at things that make me cringe,
So many times i reached out and wanted to give in,
A school prized on being safe for all,
All who shared the same skin color had a ball,
Being the pepper in the salt I stood out like a sore thumb,
Many thought the world moved past this,
But some cling on

Doors to Verity

I live in this imaginary world,
A world away from reality.
I fear to open the doors,
The doors to unveiled verity.
I shut my eyes and wish,
Wish forever to cling to this fantasy.

I saw in her smile

Chilly are moments
When I am all alone
Meaningless obsessions
When your have no one
Of your own

It's the moment that I see
You
My numbness fades
I can feel
I saw it in her smile
Lovers drawn together
I saw in her smile
These times for us
To treasure

Much of which is uncertain
Loving you at all times
When we kiss and hug each
Other
It just devastates my mind

Maybe it's wishful thinking
But if I am to be your lover true
I'd need one understanding
I'd need to marry you

I saw in her smile
She has a silly grin
I heard in her answer
She wished me to her
Only man

Cling To Him

I’ve got something to say

No matter who you are,
or where you’ve been,
I beg of you to run from sin

Dear one,

Never go back to that viper pit again,

May the Love of the Savior

forever dwell within your heart

May you cling to Him each day

Cling

At the moor's edge
where the cliff-drop gnaws the wind
and a jutting ledge raises it hackles,
fingers scrabble, skinned toes curl
within stiff-jawed boots.

Turn an ankle here,
and you may fall
unleashed
to die somewhere
out of sight.

Do not enter your mind here
in that place
where a whipped dog cowers.

Cling,
rope yourself to the sky -
Growl.

Premium MemberTo which image should we cling

"We have been here a thousand times before"
Praying for world peace, or the end of war

"Memory erased, each time we begin anew"
PRIEZ POUR NOUS QUI AVONS RECOURS À VOUS

"Of hands held tenderly, we’ve lost the score"
Rosaries repeat His Peace we beg for

"Each embrace virgin like fresh morning dew"
Heaven's prayer-roses of Grace will accrue

"To which image, oh dear soul, should we cling"
Which Immaculate face lets our heart sing

"For each heart was at some point of time dear"
Trust her intercession, said each seer

"As we flow through life with zest, zeal and zing"
Let Blessed Mary's hand guide our heart string

"In all forms we see God’s presence appear”
His Life-span of Mysteries made crystal clear

Line of inquiry:

“We have been here a thousand times before
Memory erased, each time we begin anew
Of hands held tenderly, we’ve lost the score
Each embrace virgin like fresh morning dew

To which image, oh dear soul, should we cling
For each heart was at some point of time dear
As we flow through life with zest, zeal and zing
In all forms we see God’s presence appear”

Terza Rima Sonnet

In dewy kisses, sun bursts through startled limbs,
washing dawn bold, breathing grace against tear’s flow
gentle trembling through romantic pseudonyms.

blessings linger on the hint of God’s still glow,
lighting the way through drenching rains, darkest storms,
silent as night, dusk’s mild shadow, soft and slow.

embrace of warm prayers, faded dream performs,
melodies rich as the healing He bestows,
comforts the hurting, bringing hope that transforms.

songs of wonder brought by the Son who arose,
visions, joy reflecting the soul’s eternal,
love so amazing, sings wherever He goes!

His light shines, ‘tis more than merely external.
It burns away the fear of hell’s infernal.

To Which Image Should We Cling

"We have been here a thousand times before

Memory erased, each time we begin anew

Of hands held tenderly, we’ve lost the score

Each embrace virgin like fresh morning dew

To which image, oh dear soul, should we cling

For each heart was at some point of time dear

As we flow through life with zest, zeal and zing

In all forms we see God’s presence appear”
               - Unseeking Seeker

Even though we’ve been here a thousand times before,
Someone is the Keeper of the store,
Though sometimes we’re saddled with life’s perplexities,
Difficult to ponder deeply amidst complexities.

Have you ever fought hard to keep your focus?
It’s like you see your mind on an unexplainable race course,
You wonder what flows with the time,
What summons an eerie clime?

The soul is always asking questions,
Wanting to know if some things are sculpted intentions,
It seeks a higher power,
Someone to hold its hand on an ivory tower.

To which image should we cling,
To whom should our hearts in dawn sing,
If not the One who holds bliss' key,
God is in everything we see.

Premium MemberYet I Cling Long Version

Blue
twinges
of lament
cast gaunt shadow
o’er my dreadful pang
as a grim mist segued
into dark claustrophobic
cantons where rabid zeal of hearts
once smouldered from magma’s deep red vein
Yet I cling to golden dawn recall
of lazy strolls in lush green mead
wild sniff of purple heather
neath sun-drenched sky aflame
gusts of joy rippling
froth-rim brook waltz
now toilworn
gaudy
dream
Haze
born of
mellow flight
as hunches splay
across foamed pool morn
plop of jaspers echo
icy shriek as chalk mark toe
dips into a whirlpool eddy
to soothe stark reflections so forlorn
Those august palpitating heartbeats
etched in vivid ripple canvass
entwined that fleeting pearl drop
bead keen ink glint token
a pledge once fervent
now rose tinted
phase on brink
of times
lapsed

Premium MemberTo Which Image Should We Cling

The only image we cling to
Should be the one in the mirror.
Of that I could not be surer.
Your idols will let you down in the end.
Jesus, Elvis, Lennon, and John Paul the Second,
Even Ghandi, Theresa, Keller, and MLK.
They're all built up into superheroes.
While the true color of their character,
Behind closed doors, may decay.

Look to yourself.
Go Emersonian.
Ego-less Egoism.
Resurrect the flag of
Transcendentalism.

You are the bling.
Cling to what you sing.
Never stop your song.
Your truth is never wrong.

Premium MemberTo which image should we cling?

Trailing clouds of glory do we come
The magical moments of childhood
When we felt at one with the universe
Spinning dizzily with delight

Or with more of horrible and awful
That even to name is sorrowful
Bound helplessly with flu in bed
Unable from the pillow to raise my head
And wishing the world would just go away
Paralysed by the loss of power to move

Maybe it is not so much
The image to which we should cling
Rather that the images should cling
To us
Providing our distinct identities
The yardstick of our recollections
The holding of our first born close
Those bedtime stories where
The kids cling on to every word

Just before into euphoric sleep they drift
When we slip softly from the room
Switching off the bedroom light
With their minds now deep in dreams bright

Choosing one image is far beyond me
I much prefer the whole family tree.

Premium MemberTo which Image should we cling

mirror tells lies when it looks back at you,
image shown is which you already knew,
does not show your thoughts, wisdom, or feelings,
image not truth, however appealing.

the body you inhabit is your dorm,
your name is tag for the physical form,
the self is seeker searching for answers,
search tool is intellect with such powers.

your journey is not of the mind alone,
body ages, dies has no sins to atone,
sins are of active mind that deal with trials,
that deal with challenges and times betrayals!

the true journey is one deep within you,
a passive observer with clear view,
one not affected by any events,
it questions nothing, it makes no comments.

passive observer lives in each of us,
that is part of supreme divine pureness,
dwell in that passive mind to free the self,
past lives are mirages of memory shelf.

it was born the moment of our first cry,
stays with us till the far end when we die,
untainted, untarnished, piece of divine soul,
to merge with eternity, final goal.

your images of past are not images of you,
to such false identities bid adieu,
memories, relations are of physical,
eternal our presence, body ephemeral.

I Cling To Thee

Christ, here I am, listen to me
My faith in you I bring to thee
Against the storm, against the snow
You are my savior, that's all I know

To your image I'm made to be
Your wretched servant as you can see
I hold on you to be my king
Save me from pains this life may bring

I cling to you in night and day
You are the star that guides my way
In darkest days, you are my light
You are the sun that shines so bright
