I believe in God’s power* midst lockdown
Since no disaster can shut His grace down.
In such state, I need foremost the Bible
Scriptures anchor my faith to be stable.
Medicines serve as great necessities
To combat blood pressure’s adversities.
Vitally important are documents
For social and financial engagements.
Hygiene kit plus sanitizer’s fullness
Shouts “Cleanliness is next to godliness.”
Money, though ephemeral, meets my needs
Securing welfare while the mouth it feeds.
Gadgets which become my helpful buddies
Must stay handy as essential goodies.
Grateful am I for each grace-packed food box
Supplies with the Lord’s blessing bounty-stocks.
Above all is earnest soul’s prayer might
Trusting Christ to uphold me in my plight.
Hope in the Saviour brings peace to my heart
Reviving spirit, braced by joy’s rampart.

~~["Dig My Own Grave" is a series of writings in reflection of mental preparation...
~~~Each scoop of dirt rids the mess where I'm to be finally laid to rest~~~]
Cleanliness is next to "Godliness"_ or so I have heard.
Sounds good to me_ no debate, or need for another word.
I'm pulling the skeletons out from under my bed...
shining light on old phobias way back in my head.
Crushing picked bones I've had to bear....
dust to dust_ sweep em out into the air.
Brought a good shovel cuz I'm diggin my own grave.
Getting my mind right to become well behaved.
So if you want it done right_ ya gotta do it yourself...
put sleeves up, pedal to the metal, and pride_ top shelf.
Don't know your thoughts about it or your true belief...
to know it was done by my hand is the highest relief.
Every day that we live, we become closer to death...
Each thought and action may be our last breath.
As long as we live we must stumble, toil and slave....
The best thing I'll be doing is digging my own grave.
I’ll pray for God’s control over a house on fire
Along prudent composure disasters require.
In such state, I’ll keep foremost my antique Bible
Scriptures that anchor my faith, making me stable.
Medicines come next with first-aid necessities
For normal blood pressure amidst adversities.
Vital are legal and academic documents
For social, educational, financial engagements.
Hygiene kit must have pure sanitizer’s fullness
Insuring “Cleanliness is next to godliness.”
Money, though ephemeral treasure, meets my needs
Securing my welfare while the belly it feeds.
Communication gadgets are helpful buddies
They should be handy as my essential goodies.
Never will I forget prepared grace-packed food box
Supplies of the Lord with His blessings' bounty-stocks.
There are they all... in one bag for ready transport
While I rest in God’s care, watching fire-report.
Grateful, I praise my Saviour Who extinguished flame
Saving me from hell-fire when I called on His name*!
Couplet with "List"
We can still love each other, to our dying day. We can maintain some of that magic when things were new. Didn’t mind elbows in the night, or bodily functions to name a few. Waking up and admiring the view. Seperate bathrooms permit waking up and servicing the appropriate parts. Don’t have to be exposed to the dreaded morning farts. Cleanliness is next to Godliness or so the saying goes, I guess it is true. But what man can clean or want to,as good as you? So what if there is twenty feet between my commode and you. If we want to get frisky, we can still enjoy the view.
Is Jesus in a box, hmmm…, let’s see,
Jesus in a six sided container? That’s hard to visualize for me.
Who’d put him in? Better yet, who’d take him out?
Is he really in there? That could cast some serious doubt.
What a tidy package is your Jesus in a box.
Would you have your Jesus dressed, or only in socks?
If “Jack” looked ridiculous in his spring loaded box,
would that mean Jesus should wear similar frocks?
How would we get him to far flung destinations?
Would UPS carry him without preparations?
Would he be bathed before he was laid inside?
“Cleanliness is next to Godliness.” Recall the aside?
If you brought some vocal atheists to this table,
surely they’d sponsor legislation for a Biohazardous label?
Would Jesus still be relevant in Antarctica or the Sahara?
Remember they were late comers to a Christian era.
So I’m thinking, Jesus is not in a box, as far as I can tell.
If he was, it would likely be his permanent “death knell.”
For me, I like things the way they currently exist.
Jesus in a box, no, that’s just not something I’d like to mix.
For the Jesus in a box contest.
