Do you want to listen to her chitter chat
Or do you want to listen to her this and that
She has a way of just doing that
She has a way she does the "Chitter Chat"

I remember when she lied about it
One year later she cried and whined about it
She thought about that if she lied
And run away and tried to hide

That I would read her like a "hard-cover book"
And that's just the way that she wanted to look
One year later she cried and ran away
I remember how she whined, anyway

She thought that I would somehow,
not forget about her
She thought she would somehow,
not forget about me

I thought that we would somehow,
not forget about us
I thought that we would somehow,
not forget about we

Do you want to listen to her Chitter Chat"
Or do you want to listen to her- This and that
She has a way of just doing that
I dig the way she does the "Chitter Chat"

Chitter chatter bitter batter
I am trying to think
Chitter Chatter
Can I eat with you?

I turn and growl.
They leave quickly.
Chitter chatter bitter batter
Same story as yesterday and the day before
Chitter chatter bitter batter

Principal who is my boss comes in
Asks me to pick up Felon Number 6.
Have a talk, make them feel safe.
Chitter chatter.bitter batter as I walk past teacher's lunchroom
Which happens to be on the other side of the wall of my office

Felon Number 6 and I throw balls around.
We build a house. I learn everything about his family.
Chitter chatter is not as noticeable now
As I concentrate on him.

Walk him back but he runs away from me.
As usual.
I catch up to make sure he ended up in his room.
Lunch duty now. Two hundred kids and two adults.
Not fun. No one can open their milk.
No one remembers silverware.
Everyone wants to get out of their seat to chase each other.

Kindergarteners get the best of me.
I am exhausted in a mere thirty minutes.
Go back to my office.
Sit down to concentrate.
Chitter chatter bitter batter

I hate sharing this dhramned wall.
My dog ears are screaming now.
No poetry today.

Chitter chatter left little doubt what creature was hiding in the pines.
I knew before it threw two walnut shells upon my shoes, both nines.
Creature’s eyes appeared before it ears, teeth played upon my silly rears.
Tiny screamed a shrill unholy evil scream, bringing to my ears quick tears.

She said this.
Chitter chatter chitter chatter
She said that.
Chitter chatter chitter chatter
What do you think she meant?
Chitter chitter chitter chitter.

I do not know, I say, not looking up from my typing,
Irritated now.
Why don’t you go ask her?
Oh, I could not do that.
Chitter. Chatter. Chitter Chatter.

I am silent,
Hoping she will get the hint.
But she does not.
Apparently I am her last friend?
Wonder why?

Premium MemberEnough With the Chitter Already

As if it’s not enough that I must share
this little stump of wood with you, my friend,
I have to HEAR you! How much must I bear
before you have me going round the bend?

Although we are the same birds of a feather,
the way you chitter on, I'm turning cuckoo!
I can’t believe we still do things together,
and this comes keenly from my bird’s eye view!

Please don’t be the “little bird that told me!”
Go find another bird that “gives a tweet.”
You’re going to burst my bird brain, Twiddle Dee.
I tweak your beak with one of my clawed feet!
