My Kindle is confusing.
When I’m finished with a book,
I have to check it in; to me,
That needs a second look.
For “check in” every other place
Has quite a different drift.
In restaurants, hotels or flights,
Admission will be swift.
Of course, you check out books
When at a library or store,
But if you must return them,
“Checking in” is not your chore.
What I’d suggest to Kindle
If they’d care for my concern
Would be “check out” books to read them
And, when finished, hit “return!”

As focus slows the runner’s off
Mind bolts here and there
Your past and future, autodrive
A map of where we care
Frequent flyer stops abound
Our fears and dreams
Round and Round
Listen watch and learn
Love your stops little bird
Feed and care for your song
Yours alone can be heard

Snailing through the luggage line
meandering my mind
scanning assorted airport folk
entranced when I spy
this guy with a gal at his side
both stunning
and so in love
My stare intensifies
as strange rekindling scorches my blood
zooming in on the young man's countenance
the likeness of which
is that of a man who haunts my dreams -
a towering Adonis with dark eyes
whose gaze holds mine
tenderly
I refocus -
on the beautiful young object
of his admiration
(a surge of sadness now -
melancholy sweeping me)
They're inseparable; complete.
I push-kick my suitcase
and resume trailing my feet.

Goodbye jackets and cardigan of wool,
session is over for going to school,
all were enjoying warmth of quilt,
now can get inside the pool
spring is arriving jumping around,
lets get up on workout ground,
temperature not warm so cool,
air is freshening following rule
king of seasons is on the way,
days will be longer day by day,
sun will have to wake up early,
you will get D vitamin surely
lets go out to roam with friends,
cool dresses will follow the trends,
have party sweat less or sweater,
its the time to enjoy the weather
spring flowers are ready to shower,
golden beauty from sunrise tower,
lets hope for heavenly breeze,
and wish that could last forever
