An Interlude At Check-In

Snailing through the luggage line meandering my mind scanning assorted airport folk entranced when I spy this guy with a gal at his side both stunning and so in love My stare intensifies as strange rekindling scorches my blood zooming in on the young man's countenance the likeness of which is that of a man who haunts my dreams - a towering Adonis with dark eyes whose gaze holds mine tenderly I refocus - on the beautiful young object of his admiration (a surge of sadness now - melancholy sweeping me) They're inseparable; complete. I push-kick my suitcase and resume trailing my feet. For the JPContest 5 : FEELINGS Contest Sadness/Melancholy

Intense, Andrea. : ) And how true - such heartfire rarely lacks for fuel, needing only that momentary spark.

What a sad tale of woe. Great for the couple in love, not so great for the person people watching.

The sight our foolish heart inflames, We long for pine-apples in frames; Hi Petal, An excerpt from one of my fave poems your write brought to mind. I love it when that happens. Take care, Richard. I have nothing new on so don't bother with me.

A slanted sight, left so contrite, a moment of refrain. It don't seem right, left dark as night, and walking in the rain. A passion passing without requition. A heart felt choice without decision. Humanity inflicted sorrow. Live for today, not tomorrow. :) I'm aware that requition is not in the dictionary. Chalk it up to a new word. :)

A nostalgic portrait of loss and longing that this couple made surface in your mind. A poignant reminder of what might have been. A great entry Andrea. 7 ; )

What a joy and what a sorrow it was dear Andrea to see the Adonis of your dreams to be interested (the ignorant) to a lesser woman than you! Haha! Enjoyed your fabulous writing my friend! Good luck and a seven!
