Check In

My Kindle is confusing. When I’m finished with a book, I have to check it in; to me, That needs a second look. For “check in” every other place Has quite a different drift. In restaurants, hotels or flights, Admission will be swift. Of course, you check out books When at a library or store, But if you must return them, “Checking in” is not your chore. What I’d suggest to Kindle If they’d care for my concern Would be “check out” books to read them And, when finished, hit “return!”

I have zero interest in digital reading anything but I do admire your poem and, best of all, its conclusion! I agree with Tom, that everything digital seems to be jumping through hoops and being besieged with cookies to accomplish a simple task like "return" or "terminate"! Aloha! Rico

I have no idea what the "check in" on a Kindle means, but you make perfect sense with the "check out". I read real books with covers and pages.

i think it's actually a problem caused by my library, not the kindle itself, but either way, it's very confusing! thanks for stopping by...

Frustrating indeed, Ilene! I am a faithful patron of our local library but now you have to make an appointment to visit the place! Can you imagine that! Frustrating. Makes me want to fire up my kindle - Bob

Makes sense to me, they don't do things for an easy life, they'd rather have us jumping through hoops. Tom
