Out in the field is a bed of chicory,
down along the ditch, wild hydrangeas grow.
Dandelions in the yard are quite tasty,
so is the duckweed by the side of the road.
Wild lettuce, lamb’s quarter, and some wild onions,
there’s watercress, fennel, grape leaves, and cherries.
We also have mallow, milkweeds, oxtails, chives,
Chanterelle mushrooms, morels, and blackberries.
Along with sassafras, raspberries, and more,
you’ll have a lunch that will make your stomach sing.
God bless all of nature’s wonderful bounty,
providing an Ozark meal fit for a king.
Once upon a shiny polished day, the sun shone bright as golden ray
and in the park where the children played the puppies danced ballet
The kittens meowed from their outdoor yum cafe
and the birds chirped from the trees while they surveyed
the pretty ducklings waddling in the pond, hurray hurray !
Once upon a starlit night the moon smiled sweetly at the sea
and in the river all the loons echoed across the lake, woo wee
The owl gave a hoot and the foxes slept tee hee
while the rabbit stretched and caught a snack or three
Once upon a fairytale a little Pixie cast a spell
and all the sicklies of the forest were suddenly made well
each precious creature went pell-mell at the sound of a Fairy's Bell
while all the ogres, trolls and elves, tap danced on a chanterelle.

Amazon mist and rainy mornings green as the day God made them
dropping from a moist sky full of even grays and sheltering light
peaceful music playing from the spheres of a dense forest dream
we are little humans in a big big giant cave, .... the rain
Pitter patter drops on thirsty tree in a world that is evened once again
sheets of rain fall from my window and I click click click and glean
a slow memory of old, photographs of mom and dad inside the garden
we were small and happily drinking in the scene .... the rain
Sentinel watches from soldiering evergreens I lived there before
the white washed walls of peace and the age old chanterelle danced
as the raindrops settle in my soul, I compose a poem about downpour
Petrichor scents permeate my living space as I listen to ... the rain
Rainsticks and drums Native chants and Pagan dreams of old I remember
Lady Gianne and her healing chants, how she lifted her face to the winds
"Heal me now and make me whole" * " Bring peace and love forevermore"
As nature creates pathways to equity, the rain loves US, .... the rain
a green forest canopy and all that lies beneath
all the beauty one adores right between the eyes
soaring birds, strong eagle wings, swooping trees
emerald ferns and fairies, full of fairy dust
all the beauty one adores right between the eyes
chanterelle mushrooms thriving in a rich black soil
emerald ferns and fairies, full of fairy dust
hippogriffs and unicorns, thestral horse's tail
chanterelle mushrooms thriving in a rich black soil
aside a four leaf clover lucking it in plushy style
hippogriffs and unicorns, thestral horse's tail
pedestrians with smiles following the trail
aside a four leaf clover lucking it in plushy style
Alice wanders bout the Hatter and the grinning cat
pedestrians with smiles following the trail
hopping like jack rabbits down the rabbit hole
Alice wanders bout the Hatter and the grinning cat
soaring birds, strong eagle wings, swooping trees
hopping like jack rabbits down the rabbit hole
a green forest canopy and all that lies beneath.

She was plum perfect
Sweet as apple pie
A lavender rose
Hearthstone
Boiling warm glow
Dew drop Olive garden
Warm Glow tulips in the spring
Such a sugary woman
Soul so very sweet
Her very essence chocolatey
Chanterelle strawberries
Sea anemone oceans breath
That woman that girl cotton in a candy
So sweet chocolatey sweet
She's yum, plum perfect
