Life is a mixture of contrasts and opposite polarities
North-south east and west
Sadness and pleasure
Winter and summer
Empty pockets others full of treasure
Female and males
Dark and light
Kittens with whiskers and puppies with wagging tails
Hot and cold
War or peace
Living or dead
Young and old
They claim that variety is the spice of life
A sweet love song
Or a lament
A kiss or a bite
Truth or a lie
A laugh or a thrown
Day and night
A winner or a loser
A serious person or a clown
A hunter and prey
A full cake or just the crumbs
A sunrise and sundown
Love and hate
A labour of work or a holiday
Chalk and Cheese
A full or an empty plate
A clear road ahead or something blocking your way
Some people sin or keep on the right track
Some people are strong other's weak
A bad or good day
A success or a failure
A double or single bed
A hundred miles or just a breath away
No matter how we differ
To me we are all brothers and sisters
Under the same moon stars and sun
Things are not what they were supposed to be
But my dream would be love harmony peace and forgiveness
In a paradise united as one.
They do say opposites attract.
Chalk was bold, pale skinned, and big boned.
A soft souled, porous, sedentary teen.
Bulky, he made a big initial impression,
but seemed to lack in true substance.
And thus, was a temporary friend,
often relied on to help others with work,
but then discarded without a second thought.
Good thing Chalk brushed off comments with ease.
Cheese was very much an acquired taste,
with hooped earlobes and a waxy complexion,
quite rugged, yet packed full of character.
He wore a baggy beanie like a protective rind,
and from a glance, he could give you nightmares.
But behind his hard exterior, was a soft nature.
Easily influenced, he was often seen in a smoky hue,
chewing salty, sour snacks outside of class.
These two were really chalk and cheese,
yet their soft nature made them good friends.
Chalk helped Cheese get a grip and find his true flavour,
and Cheese was a rock for Chalk's sense of self.
Together, they were anything but, chalk and cheese,
yet never had they been more Chalk and Cheese.

Chalk and Cheese
When you say no, I say yes
When you say skirt, I say dress
When you say lie, I don’t confess
When you say more, I say less
When I say argue you just agree
When I say bush, you say tree
When I say expensive, you say free
I hate the way you undermine me
When I give up, you never surrender
I like coronation, you watch Eastender
I say it’s ugly, you marvel its splendour
When I have amnesia, you always remember
When I want to fight, you want to talk
When you want to run, I want to walk
When I feel happy, you sit and sulk
I am your cheese and you are my chalk.

Just choose cheese please
Cheese choosing is cheasey and easy
Do not cheat, only choose cheese beginning with Ch…
Choose cheese like
Chile jack, Chimney rock, Chaumes, Chavroux, Checkerboard chedder, Cheese curds
Cherekee rose, Chelsea blue, Childwick berry, Chelsea log and Chile caciotta
Do not divert in your decision. Do not divulge in
Danish feta, Danbo, Dante, Daphnes alpine classic, Derby and Devon blue.
They do not begin with Ch, they begin with D
Choosing cheese is challenging and changeable, they are like chalk and cheese.
You went to your universities
rehearsing your autobiographies
and
we are still as different as
chalk and cheese
I suppose you'll know
a chemical symbol
for those,
but
I wrote the writing to spend one more night in
her arms,
she left the light on to write me a love song
and
you don't need a degree for that.
Sandy and Robin
Chalk and cheese,
Sandy a hurricane
Robin a breeze.
Summer's anywhere
Grins and groans,
Twin Robin The Fair,
Sandy throws stones.
Five for a while
Sandy and Robin,
Gran has a smile
Readily worn.
Loss is gran's twin,
Her own in the sea,
Sandy and Robin
Orphans at three.
Gran,Sandy and Robin
Chalk and cheese,
Sandy a hurricane
Robin a breeze.
minimus and maximus, are two special cats of note,
one has short wiry fur,the other a long coat,
mini as you may gather, she's all skin and bone,
maxi on the other hand weighs in at half a stone.
for twins they are like chalk and cheese,
no two things are the same,
she is sleek and boisterous,he's just fat and untame.
mini is cute and cuddly,
maxi's an elephant on the prowl,
she will purr at you quite softly,
he'll just thunder and growl.
mini fit's through the cat flap, maxi is way oversize,
she will give your hand a tap,
he'll bring tears to your eyes,
mini can climb the curtains and swing from off the pole,
maxi can't do anything, but he'll give his eyes a roll.
she goes into the garden to chase the butterflies,
he is laid on the patio, well thats no big surprize,
but for all their faults they're special,
as special as can be,
cos these are the two little kittens,
that were bought for my brother and me.
