The allure of mirage
magnetic,
thirst unquenched
in hidden hope
unperceived,
insight intuits
crafty illusion
in life of reality,
rational awareness
absorbed.
Onyx cloud clumps
condensed,
shadow masked mind
tenuous,
disguised dreams
delusive,
shaped nebulous
by silver lines,
foresight outlook
splits spectrum
reflective
into colors of trance
in prism
of optimism.
Convoluted canvas
capturers
hideous faces,
makes murals
magnificent,
sparkle the contours
of conceived smile
in vintage vision
of beholder,
the pensive painter.

Swamp - Life
As viscous as pea soup
Shrieking
With Nemo swimming round and round
Underneath a breeding ground for
Pond the life algee fine dinning up on top
A drinking hole
Oasis
Fit for a
Lion King
A Disney Affair
Frozen ageless in time
Like a lock of Rapunzel's hair
Sleeping Beauty's fair
Mary Poppins loving care
In a magical , fantastical , dream infused
Ever so spectacular
Child Capturers Imagination Library
Somewhere just waiting to be discovered
So the journey most especially
Doesn't end here

Every girl, every woman no matter the age will understand what I am about to say.
It is about my hero, my favorite hero.
My Father. My Dad.
The most important man that has ever been or shall ever be.
He is no longer in my human realm.
He does not walk beside me here.
He is not here to look at me with deep chocolate concerning eyes.
But I still see him when he comes to check on me.
I see him when he comes into my dreams.
There I know he suffers not.
I see him standing tall, he is so strong.
Reaching out to hold my hand.
Praises my work, loves unconditionally.
When he finds that I am lost, he brings me home.
Still catching me if I fall.
Protecting me from unwanted foes.
Banging down doors rescuing me from capturers trying to enslave my soul.
Sometimes I feel the pain in my heart that remains when he left is way too strong.
Then I remember he suffers no more.
His little princess, I know I shall always be.
My favorite hero. My King. Forever he reigns.

Yes please. We're back.
The first pairing of 2023
Stunning wines by Hartenberg
And Lanser's food, mhuh, just wait and see
Our country's seen better days
With literal pooh coming down
Crooked politicians, state capturers
and Juli-assses band of clowns
Tonight. Yes tonight
Let's sweep it all off the table
Raise our glasses, eat like kings
And present the largest smiles that we're able
For tomorrow when you awake
You know what you're gonna say
What a spectacular night
Lanser's on Main, it made my day

Captured thoughts,
A capturer on a Friday night,
Mind away from the body,
Lost in a dance the mind is,
Stationary is the body.
Feet taping to no sound,
Laughs to equip the mood,
Capturers we are,
Gathered to one thought.
The only time minds agree,
Through the week we disagree.
Friday night the mind is one.
A rhythm to the mind,
Friday is the tune.
Unity of the night,
Imagine if ‘Love’ was ‘Friday’.
How much couples will agree,
How groovy the mood will,
A Friday relationship every day,
Love so groovy…

Behold the NIGHT of dread is upon us
No one knows the route of this scary bus
The thing that’s evident there is evil
Some are dragged on some went without a fuss
DARK are the insides scary forms around
Each window closed to contain all the sound
There will be screaming and rackling shackles
Attempts at escape the ones that are bound
BLACK shrouded figures walk from seat to seat
Making sure hands are tied shackles on feet
Told all to relax don’t make things harder
They will be serving a sweetened blood treat
The only ones HAPPY on this blood hunt
Are the capturers that speaks with a grunt
They laugh and tease making everyone sweat
Wondering what happens over the mount
The feeling of gloom makes the captured SAD
To be captured and herded made them mad
They hollered so loud police came on board
And rescued them all o boy were they glad
For Craig's contest: NIGHT DARK BLACK HAPPY SAD

Have you ever laid under the stars & wished for nothing more
have you ever felt so fragile when giving into the pleasure of love
have you ever opened your heart & let that one in
so naked & raw it capturers your soul
you almost feel like a stranger to yourself
have you ever felt the beat of a heart in love
wild & careless it surrounds you, calling you haunting you
have you ever felt the fear of being at one with that one, leaving you with nowhere to run
have you ever been so close you see your reflection in their eyes even when its at night
have you ever missed that one before they have left
when time stood still & love so deep did you ever believe
love could ever be
ever so true....
