Mouthless

I have seen a lot in this life,
The only thing I haven't seen is that which doesn't exist,
I have seen a lot in this life,
That which my mouth cannot explain.

Tell us what you saw Mr. Stephen,
What is it you saw that Troubles you,
Did you see the rainbow or seven colours of madness,
Tell us Mr. Ekemezie what exactly you saw?

I saw people I saw inhumanity,
I saw heartlessness in-love with wickedness,
I saw bitterness wedding greediness,
Callousness came to the wedding wearing injustice.

I saw evil ruling the universe,
Anger, dishonesty and falsehood are there with her,
I saw a sick earth where everything goes,
A world full of oppression and strife,
No humanity at all which keeps me speechlessly mouthless.

In the ebonic afterglow, I hope for your return…

Echo a Desperate Plea

Anxious calling across a mountain ravine.
Breathless in frigid heights, plummeting d
Callousness of the deaf-defying beast. e
Desperate to penetrate distance; pinpoint. g
Echo of eeriness returns to me thrice. r
                                                                    e
                                                                      e
                                                                        s.

Autumn 3

The Autumn crocuses sway
Amongst the shadows of the pine trees
The air is resonant with smoke
As the buddleia dies down

August as thick as musk
Blackbird came a calling
about Autumns ephemerality
Somber yet always lonely

The impending storms
ignite the skies
We strife to Find a talisman
To acknowledge the epiphany

August you are a gust of leafs
floating downstream
you are about heartfelt loss
Tameness is not spoke
callousness is her hallmark…

Premium Memberfind another place to live

Sam is improverished and alone
destitute, deprived, depressed,
an alley rat who does not garnish sympathy or empathy

his family turned him out thirty-six years ago
at fifteen he was told to “find another place to live”
his parents chased him out when he told them he was gay

his lifestyle went against their religious beliefs
their lack of compassion and spirituality killed his spirit
cruel callousness changed their loving son into a stranger
a lonely sad alley rat

            Sad to comment
           Just common sense
             not so common
             among public.

             Most callousness
             all over known,
             says statistics,
             what I have meant.

              Sharp sense to own :
               That’s specific.
             Not much talent,
            but need promptness.

               That is basic,
               also urgent.
               Attain smartness
               without smart phone.

Premium MemberCOMMON SENSE CUM IQ

       IQ less powerful.
       Common sense more active.
       Apply common sense in performance.

       Callousness also appears so often.
       Common sense more important.
       IQ less powerful.

      Less IQ tolerable.
      Zero common sense unbearable.
      Common sense more active.

     Culture common sense.
     in journey of life.
    Apply common sense in performance.

Premium MemberWorld War 3

The third world war has already begun.
This time it’s humans versus planet earth.
Having failed to treat all life forms as one,
we’ve abused Mother, who’s given us birth
and so unless we come here now undone,
She’ll evict us since thin has worn Her mirth.
We’re Her guest but know not how to behave,
callousness digging thereby, mankind’s grave.

                                              Just one Word

Just one word can drive a man to success
                             Or ditch him down a dreadful hole;

Just one word can trail a man in a mess,
Or can reveal a man`s basic meanness,

Just one word can reveal his callousness
                            Or elevate him to a divine soul;

Just one word can drive a man to success
Or ditch him down a dreadful hole.

On Earth Day

Earth Day’s not a worth day
For the skeptics and polluters
And, add to that, the bigots and
The ask-no-question shooters.

For those who value someone’s life
So little they’d take aim
And fire a weapon with no thought
That they could kill or maim

Most certainly don’t care about
The animals and plants
Or rescuing our planet
When, right now, we have a chance.

It’s sad to think about the earth
That we will leave behind,
But even worse to face
The callousness of humankind.

The Tower

There are seven ways to make it.
Comply, Deny.
Make that two, for such are the only ones that matter.
A rabbit makes her way into the cave of snakes she calls her home.
So unique, so different.
Loneliness is not akin to being alone.
The snake cave is her home,
Her world, her universe.
The venom, the callousness,
Her world, her universe.
Was it an illusion?

There are seven ways to make it,
Two words disappear.
One in exchange for a mountain.
One welcoming Spring.

My Own Scars

No one is reacting as dramatically as me.

Because no one is struggling as dramatically as me.

Some unspecified illness-

To them is not real.

Maybe they are not conscious of their callousness.

But it still feels like I must reach a crisis for action to be taken.

Whether the guilt falls on me or them-

They will still be my own scars.

Nothing In Particular

The sun awakes him
Without worry or shame
Wish I could say I smell the roses
That my life is just the same

But he carries on
Enriched by nothing at no cost
I never had him in the first place
So how can I claim to have lost

His endless games make me alert
He's nothing in particular to achieve
I crash out amidst his callousness
I've really nothing up my sleeve

My silence is golden
My armour suited up to boot
There's nothing in particular I want to say
My distance now absolute

Premium MemberWisdom From Trees

Nestling in my realm, as you host a daydream,
Reveling in breeze of my splendor evergreen,
I welcome you to my domain of rhythmic trills
Where roam the blue jays, robins, and crossbills
Feeding on berries, frolicking with hatchlings,
Singing gaily, serenading benevolent sanctuary
Amid bears’ huff, growl, and foxes’ feral-howl
Sheltered amicably from dry heat and rainfall;

Where trees reduce pollution, boost air quality,
Emit oxygen you breathe, by photosynthesis,
Bear flowers, fruits, nurturing your well-being
Temper climate cheerily, swaying with winds,
Hold soil in place, reducing runoff to streams
Protecting elixir of life in rivers and tributaries;

While you find balance in sanctity and peace,
Enlightened by whispers rustling in harmony,
That warn of deforestation ruining ecosystem,
And callousness that torches wildlife and trees;

Yet, I rise from ashes sprouting earth’s tranquility
For I am the forest of goodwill and sublimity,
Adorning every season, standing for you firmly,
Hosting you as you rejoice in salutary daydream.

Premium MemberDarkness Dances On My Doorstep

Darkness dances on my doorstep
But I'm not about to let it in
The darkness will pound and howl
And even curse me to oblivion
But that door remains shut
No way will I be fooled
Ever again
And as shooting stars rain
Across the night sky
I hear the song of the universe
Even over the calls
Of the darkness
Dancing all alone on my doorstep
Mad that I refuse to tango
Angry over a broken plastic flamingo
A sign of toxic friendship
Forgotten
On the doorstep
But I refuse to be weak again
And give in
Because the darkness
Envelops and overwhelms
A cascading casket of cosmic callousness
Ensnaring like a heavy blanket
So when you see me
Standing in front of the door
You may see a single tear
And a hand on the doorknob
As darkness dances on my doorstep
I'm (not) about to let it in
