Caliber Poems

in the hands of a caliber

The murmurs in the wind named me a whore
According to those prayers i never wished for more
Than to be touched by the purest
And held like fine wine
All In the hands of a caliber

I held that knife like i held you darling
And when you told me all i am is ing boring
I threw the knife straight between your eyes
Hoping you wouldn't notice the hole in my mourning

And i told you death was better mercy
In the hands of a caliber
No one can hurt me
So i slashed off my hair
And killed all my friends
Hoping i'd never again find a caliber in my hands

Woah for this winter
Mourn for this winter
Up here in the mountains
No one can hurt you

Expect for the snake
That hides in the hole
With the same name
Same voice, and same clothes
And it hisses at you
To reconcile
All in the hands of a caliber

Men Of Caliber

When a man is gentle
Soft and always respects you
That's when your nervous system begins to heal
That's why some women glow
When they are loved correctly in a relationship
Not self love, but emotional safety
We also understand why, we see a beggar
Difficult, tired woman melt our heart
It's not that we don't know
How to love themselves
But that they have to constantly
Fight against the sorrows inside.

Premium MemberThirty-Eight Caliber Candy

The border is broken and ignored.
Mixed in with desperate angels are snakes-demons-gangsters.
The latest game of Chinese checkers
(the fentanyl plague) has taken the place of the Wuhan rage...
Body bags are filling with our young
their silky dreams-undone-undone.

A parade float governor belches.
No more cash bail for the violent.
Claiming (from behind his wall) this will make citizens safer.
Prisons are being emptied into once peaceful places.
Lori Lightfoot waves her dog-eared race card again.
The sheep will always vote the same-the -same.
As black brains are being sprayed with .38 caliber candy.

Even Afghanistan is a more peaceful place
than the Un-United States.

Soros hornets along with the ghosts of Mao and Marx
are stinging lady liberty to death.

Premium MemberAl Stone and the 22 Caliber Meltdown

long after a full moon
had thrown its arms around the sky
I stood with Al Stone
ignoring the futility in our lives
adolescence gave way to manhood
or so we like to believe
our ideology stifled
from a serious lack of dreams
with the care of a midwife
removing a child from the womb
a marijuana cigarette was born
then quickly consumed
our reality now disfigured
discolored and frayed
the sound of a revolver pop-pop-pop
felt like a siren calling our names
along the asphalt we strode
where graffiti had not taken over
the corner of lesson and life
pondering the tips of our noses
underneath that streetlight
the story we all must tell
misplaced direction
led to a portal of hell
our lack of caution
our upbringing tossed aside
opened the door for the siren
that revolver in our eyes
angels decided to sing
that melody an alarming sound
wheels of society turned and screeched
leaving tire tracks on the ground
the order was given to freeze
alternatives held tight in their hands
one placed directly at my temple
a transition from boy to man

Earth Caliber

Humans are like fleas
On this planet of created breeze
Your eyes will never see
The whole diameter of the earth' degree
Unless you are walking on the moon periphery

Caliber

It was once a matter of clairvoyance
a search beneath the skin
rewarded with the tranquility of knowledge
beyond sense
Grievances revered as models of understanding
and true compassion
But ebb and flow are not without consequence
and the appearance called time an undisciplined
foe
Man then left as beast to devices set in
prehistoric motion wondering in the places
taken for granted moons earlier
if not for perfect machinery misused
Crowded now by a guilt pondered in place
of the substance for which it was as a means conceived
Men so fallen and unable to rise but like
a baker's dough slowly as a life rebuilt
an end promised therefore as a dream in sight
But to reach such heights self-doubt
resists preferring rather the gleam and
nostalgia and the memory of soldiers bearing
higher ranks
