Claudelle, we must go away and start a new life.
This fruitless sharecropping has just cost me my wife.
Believe me, in every way, I loved your mother.
Frustrated and annoyed, she left me for another.
I know you were heartbroken about what happened to Linn.
You will love someone else after we begin again.
A bunch of other men want to hold you in their arms.
They fall peril to all of your feminine charms.
Your mother wanted you to marry a man fat and old.
To her, he seemed to be worth his weight in gold.
You knew deep inside he was not right for you.
Never did you have feelings for him that were true.
What sadness and grief love sometimes brings.
Your flirting and coquetry have made a mess of things.
Too many men are now competing for you.
We will leave these surroundings and start anew.
Based on the novel "Claudelle Inglish" by the late Erskine Caldwell and the 1961 film with the same title.

Here I sit in the dark of night
Using my laptop for a little light
Our power has gone out,and it's quite an eerie site
In this town that's so dead,it kinda causes a little fright
I found and lit a small candle, though it doesn't pay
For it will probably burn out before my battery fades away
It's really kind of peaceful, that indeed I must say
Without all the noise that I hear in the light of day
Chirpping birds, and noisey neighbors, have all gone away
So I must once again familiarise myself with my place
Reassure myself without the dependent sence of eyes grace
The darkness comforts me,and brings me piece of mind
A comfort in the light of day, that I can never seem to find
Still we need the daylight,to see all the beautiful things
The sky,the earth in harmony, the beauty of that bird as it sings
So let this battery die,and let that candle flicker out
For it's in the darkness of your mind, you learn what love's about

As unfocused and natural as breathing
As unrestricted as dreaming
Creativity derives from formless –
From liberty
Don’t think
Write now
Correct later
This is poetry in its most perfect form
Just like when you’re taking a test and your first thought is most likely correct
It’s okay to jump from one thought to the next
As long as you have a trail to look back on
You can recall information
Don’t abandon your first thoughts of originality!
Flow and flow with your original thoughts filled with your unique personality
Be free
Be you and you will be surprised at all who will be inspired by you
Don’t muffle your emotion
Don’t muffle your first original thought
Be free
Be you and you’ll be amazed at the hues that leak on paper from you

On the boardwalk, skies and waters a majestic blue
On the boardwalk it’s me and you
Together hand in hand.
Together we just bought this square of land.
Monopolizing from
People who landed to hear the wave’s drum
People who landed to hear the ocean rumble
Making it last.
So this game doesn’t go to fast.
Richer by the time
People land on the boardwalk and pay a little more than a dime.
This is the boardwalk palace.
This boardwalk for my king.
And I shall be your Queen
On the boardwalk, skies and waters a majestic blue
On the boardwalk it’s me and you
Together hand in hand.
Profiting more than money from this land.
More than beauty, riches, and power
But the one thing that really towers
Love
And the memories
On the boardwalk, skies and waters a majestic blue
On the boardwalk it’s me and you
Together hand in hand.

Why I do declare!
I have never seen a boy with white hair!
Meeting you is such a thrill.
My name is Darling Jill.
I’ll say you’re the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.
Has my daddy been treating you mean?
I want you to take a good look at me.
Please tell me, do you like what you see?
Why, that’s the sweetest thing any boy said to me!
I hope very soon you find that gold for my daddy.
When you do, he will set you free.
Then I can have you all for me!

Come on, albino. Tell me where’s the gold?
They say you know how to look.
Where is it on my farm?

Row on Row we faced teh dawn of a bright and cloudless sky
The command was given-our fate was set-we did not question why
We moved through fields of new grown corn-our banners furled with pride
Cannons roared-the muskets fired-we were doomed with no place to hide
We had followed Bobby Lee for two long years-and tried to serve him well
But on this charge toward the boys in blue he had sent us all into Hell
Row on Row the mothers cry-the fathers work the land
No young men to tend the fields-to give a helping hand
Row on Row the markers stand-to show the world out fate
A grim reminder of the folly of war-and the killing power of hate
Both blue and grey lined toe to toe-a generation of brave young men
A country will mourn for years to come the price they paid for our sin
Life goes on and with the pain-new fields prepared to sow
History will judge the awful truth-of the graves lined Row on Row

Ty Ty Walden, what are we to do with you?
Your farm has steadily decreased in value.
People think you are a fool and not a bit funny.
You are not growing crops that would make you money.
Ty Ty, what about this foolish endeavor?
It is that buried gold you are digging to discover.
Your grandfather’s fortune is what you are hoping to see.
There are more unsightly holes all over your property.
Gold fever it seems has enveloped you still.
You even imprisoned an albino against his will.
The town is too dependent on the operation of the mill.
The closing has the population up in arms.
Son-in-law Will is enticed by Griselda’s charms.
Your troubles are compounding into a plethora.
How can you survive in those backwoods of Georgia?
