Many are pitying the guy,
Because one cannot new life buy:
Bingo had on his groin pounced
And got him-Meanest Foe-trounced!
Vet had Needle and Syringe shown Dog
And what he got worse than struck log:
To Bingo’s Canines job to do
“And don’t first ask your Victim ‘Who’?”
Many are afraid Vet will die
And have begun to say “Mute Bye.”
A Miscalculating Vet - Fie!
For him I could only once sigh:
Had in Dog’s food dropped a long sleep
But too quick to The Sown to reap!

Calculating the Next Full Moon
David J Walker
It seems there would be a certain
Expectation of the consistent phases
Of the moon
Is it not where we left it
the last time
We needed an explanation of
What went wrong
Is it an allegory of an algorithms
Miscalculation
Is it the result of putting
Too much trust
In moon dust
I was sure it knew my name
As it turned its face in
Indifference
The same as the last quarters
reflection
of an overcast
Midnight production

So many numbers
Being tossed around~
And all I am counting is

Rain with blue sky commingles daylight into sun
Signals to the weather which way the wind climbs high
North is a birds favorite direction when singing with intent
Tiny brains are smart enough to find the south when seasons end
Flying past mountains held up on distant nights reflection
Sojourners hold it all together rightly so
Watch your step when climbing upper altitudes alone
Don't slip or fall or go below zero
Folded snow remembers mounds of colder frost
That grows, that stops by Winter rivers path
Going outside is ridiculous when late
In disguise, in blinding white, conditions dangerous
To count the stars, to shiver, to cover all contingencies of madness
Carry a flash light filled with batteries
You can never have enough to see where it all started
Where it began when calculations came about
Down in the valley stars stand out
Are easier to touch if you stretch into the farthest reaches

Not that it really matters
The damage has already been done
While the debt of our country grows fatter
Let's crunch some numbers just for fun
For the average human being
Counting to one hundred is easy
Thirty seconds is all that is fleeing
To one thousand, five minutes goes breezing
From one to ten thousand, one hour
One hundred thousand will take one work day
The numbers are starting to tower
Cause one million takes ten working days
To count from one to ten million
Takes one half of one year
To get to one hundred million
It takes about five years
Counting from one to one billion
takes one whole working lifetime
If your thinking of going to one trillion
Multiply that one thousand times

"If you calculate the actual value or estimate of something and you're not sure try
calculating the ideal value and there's every probability that you might find yourself
lost in contemplation on which to choose or decide"
"If you calculate the actual value or estimate of something and you're not sure try
calculating the ideal value and you might find your task much easier"
