Line By Line

Line by line, I read your story

And as I did images unfolded before me,

Every word that I read built a picture of you within my head.

A beautiful story of strength and love but also about times so tough

I could do nothing more than respect you and all you’ve been through.

Line by line I read your tale

You shone light always from the darkest vale

And you shared love with abundance

You came in images in my mind of someone

Who’s kind, strong and yet compassionate

Who’s yet too achieve the best yet.

Line by line I read your story and imagined it in all its glory

And you came across as beautiful to me

And having read your story

I have decide that someone like you inspires the best in me

And that I’d be blessed if we were to be

Together forever living happily.

Line By Line

These stoic tablets with select or no voice stand as soldiers at their post.
Each etched by man and time showing numbered days and weathered demeanor.
Maybe a phrase ,maybe a verse, maybe a statement, all a reflection or a hope or a cry,but they carry nothing living.
Most hold a name, some may not ,but all point to every ones destined finish, no matter what their living station. Most visited once ,less a few times and others a diminishing number,as time has not stopped for the living.
But for those past time in this field,
what of their legacy? Their impact? Their contribution to mankind?
Is that written down? Remembered? Or are these held hostage behind the vines of time that would camouflage each accomplishment, each service to mankind, even each wrong or theft of decency.
Each left a mark, for each breached time,as these markers show line by line.

headstones overgrown with vines in an old cemetery.

His pain,
Etched across his arm,
Line by line by line by line by
line

Over and over and over,
Slashing the flesh that binds
him to this earth,
Line by line by line by line

The words echoing,
Words that are heard and never
forgotten cut him slowly to
pieces
Line by line by line by line by

"Nobody cares!" He shouts,
Reaching for the help in hopes
that they were wrong, that the
words were wrong cutting him
Line by line by line by line by

They are there for the girl who
everyone knows, but not for
the lonely boy who is slowly,or
quickly dying inside
Line by line by line by line by

But I am here for that boy, the
one who wants to escape from
the cruel grasp of life, that has
mercilessly tortured him
Line by line by line by line by

I am here and I'm not leaving
even as they cut you line by

I am here for you and I
will be here till the end of time

Premium MemberThen and Now - Line By Line Collabo With 'Allen Poe'

Back Then...

~In your eyes love once showed~

Dilated visions of a ethical soul

~In your smile her heart did grow~

A steady tempo with a trusting flow

~In your touch passion poured~

Beyond liters of love is to feel adored

~In your arms she was home~

Feeling secure her love would never roam...

~Now... she's lost and can't find her way~

Pledged Allegiance to a heart shallow and decayed

~No longer home by your side~

Deprived from her solace in a matter of days

~Her voice not heard, pain builds inside~

Everything once given has now been taken away

~Resentment builds as love becomes a maze~

Scriptures of advice now in a haze

~Foundation crumbles on lies built~

Momentarily she stands afflicted with guilt

~She’s stricken with doubt, fear and question~

Reaching for tools to destroy yet yearning for repair

~She is in despair~
