Feel like being alone today
Needed the loneliness and emptiness
Just moments to let sway
To feel broken… lifeless and soulless

I wanted the feeling of innocence
I wanted to be naive and incomplete
The knowing of what to do in absence
To feel vulnerable and weak

the gossip goes that the lad O'Shea
stands accused of mischief and horseplay
worse ~ caught righthanded at the town café
looking for a quick and easy payday
now he's laying low in some forsaken hideaway
waiting to make a swift getaway
trying his best to outrun judgment day
in his best friend's brand new Chevrolet

I look upon the angry ice
and men that prowl its form
to stab and poke in rich delight 
a chance to ride the storm

With blades on fire and sticks held high
they weave and crash as one
in search of that elusive net
—still guarded and unwon

Let it beat; Let it clap
Open my eyes with the truth
Let it see; Let not be fooled

Glance at me once or twice
Behold and distinguish all spice
Perceive not the bad but nice
Quietly do becoming wise

Everyday there are changes
Find, explore all that enhances
Hurdle, succeed all ravages
Breakaway from all damages

History puts them on the pedestal of their career
Aimless drifting until fatally engaged into a drilling rig
Raised a surface at the heart of the sea to exploit oil on its frontier

Oil wells at the deepest sea-bed formed million years ago
