La Tombe d’arbre – Translation of Oodgeroo Noonuccal’s « Tree Grave » by T. Wignesan

Et les chansons qu’il avait composées ;
Le pauvre gars tout seul,
Il aura surement de la peur
Quand les vents de la nuit chuchotaient
Leurs aires d’épouvantes
Parmi les chênes marécageux hantés
Au bord de la Longue Lagune.

I Like...

I like turbulent things
storms that howl
in thundering winds
and cracks of light
that I can see in
I like mystery
and intrigue too
I like it eyes open
and looking at you
I like minds spoken
and sharing views
but when it’s firm
it’s just us two.
I like to push
and be pushed back
I like to seesaw
on a one way track
running on empty
gaining no slack
... it drives me
exhausts me
and makes me
give up
but I like to cry
and see just what
I’m really made of
I like it in comfort
with pressure to grow
I like it in heels
after wine and a show
I like a rough see
and I like to grow
...it calms me
knowing what
to expect
and I like showing
that I’m Nature’s pet
and I like my feet
in the sand when I’m wet
and I like my hands
on a man you can bet
...it turns me on
a turbulent see
and when I’m calm
it’s the other me
and when I’m wrong
you’ll never hear
a longer stance
then just before
“you’re right dear”
...but I’ll mean it.
I know what I’m like.

I’m bord; ...”

The Borg

The borg reached out calling Mr. Ed.
He opened the eyes of his wired covered head…
and he groped me… sent a strobe to probe me
in my mind. I stood watching polite and in kind
wondering if he knows who I am…
To pick a brane that waves to man
is to ride inside the soul of a woman.
He opened the door to my forbiddens…
He fondled my unmentionables
....and found my hiddens.
A trail he left like a beast in my beauty
I wonder if he knew I was dancing slowly
”...LowQ.tis… you’re old school….”
Remember the day when I was wired too?
Since then there’s been a change
I have remote control right over a range
Of infinity… oh! Collective memory?
Strange arrangement of destiny?
I was bord… so I changed the Uni.Verse. ;)

Do you know where you are?

Childhood Delight

Childhood delight, if meant to be
S'mores-gas-bord, little choc-o-chips
A Peanut Butter-Jelly tree

Capri Sun, lil' pouches - hmm - see
Jumping rope, and hop a few skips
Childhood delight, if meant to be

Squirrels & birds, quickly, munch with glee
Tree-crow protects from bunnyips
A Peanut Butter-Jelly tree

Sneaky, scavengers disagree
these treats for itty-bitty snips
Childhood delight, if meant to be

Problems could arise - gollee gee
Peanuts fall, they'll grab with grips
A Peanut Butter-Jelly tree

Nocturne critters, smaller bee
leaving behind few honey drips
Childhood delight, if meant to be
A Peanut Butter- Jelly tree
