This problem in humans always seems to vary
Like a game of chess the movements are scary
Calla lilies given to a queen of hearts to mend
Bishops followed by knights pictures the men
Players like to steal hearts with a crooked smile
For a queen to know hes a joker may take a while
Unless it's obvious he has no money in the bank
Skeleton keys with no home he takes back rank
Relationships like board games are complicated
Almost every person we know have tried to play it
Ones who play and win "I Do" is what they say
With a pilot fountain pen signing their life away

I
At eleven, Tehran’s burning blaze,
Sleeve rolled high to meet the weight,
A Guard’s cold fist—a question raised—
A scar that shapes my fragile fate.
II
At sixteen, classroom doors collide,
Boots thunder on the worn-out floor,
“Routine check,” their steely stride,
Rifles poised like silent war.
Her smile hides behind the page,
Formulas I cannot solve,
I tear her photo, cage my rage—
Winter’s frost begins to dissolve.
III
Seventeen, chalk dust marks the fight,
Bishops, knights, and rooks aligned,
Till shadows snuff the flickering light,
Dreams crushed, erased, confined.
IV
At twenty-two, Azad’s hall,
I face Tehran’s chess command,
My mother’s voice, a cautious call,
Security strikes its hand.
Pieces fall in frozen rows,
Prayers lost at border lines,
Silent tales the exile knows—
A country held by tighter binds.
V
At airports, stamps seal the board,
Squares crossed off the life once known,
Chalk dust and cold photos stored,
Weights of games I’ve yet to own.
VI
Endgame looms—a final test,
Between the past and what will be,
I dream in Persian, holding rest—
Sometimes to win is to break free.

**Cover-Ups**
The Cardinals will sing, but let’s confront the truth behind it all. We deceive ourselves, but a higher power knows the reality of these situations: makeup and the cover-ups. The Cardinals' song may be beautiful, yet the raven never returned, while the dove came back, never forgetting what it had seen. It whistles a tune that demands to be heard.
Does it really matter how long it takes or the tone we strike? This involves clergymen, bishops, priests, and deacons. And let’s not forget Rome, where nuns step out of the shadows and proclaim their truth to the world. I will not pretend to be saintly or holier than thou. Remember your vows and acknowledge the challenges that lie within the Roman Catholic Church.

Your Move
Move up two spaces over.
On abrown and white board.
64 squares.
Use strategy if you dare.
Ready to play the game.
Loose pieces along the way.
The game is abstract.
More obstacles at that.
Move the rook to the other side.
Glide the queen to the right.
Move the pawns out of my way.
The king is not far away.
Bishops move diagonal.
Knights move all over.
You're on a timer.
Don’t take forever.
It’s your turn.
Play to learn.
It’s too late.
Check mate.
Strategy in defeat.
Game complete.
Be alert.
Move on, next player.

The Roman Catholic Church is a congregation of all baptized persons
United in the same true faith
The same sacrifice
And under the Holy Father
The Pope
Father Christ founded the Roman Catholic Church to bring all men to Eternal salvation
Father Christ gave the power to teach
To sanctify
And to rule the members of His Church to the Apostles
The 1st Bishops of the Church
The successors of Apostles are the Bishops of the Roman Catholic Church
Father Christ gave special power in His Roman Catholic Church
To St. Peter
By making Him the head of the Apostles
The chief teacher
And ruler of the entire Church
The Successor of St. Peter is the Holy Father
The Bishop of Rome
The priests
Especially Parish Priests
Help the Bishop in the care of the Souls

The queen has all the power
while foot soldiers goad the king
though he maybe important
the church ahead of hymn
as too crusading bishops
diagonally move to sing
the knights gallant in battle
before a fall within
the castle's rabble- rousers
encircled squares are ringed
battles meant to topple towers
to where the fight was hinged
the territory taken
with patience wearing thin
when black on white is shaken
who turns the tide to win?

Someone slowly makes a move
Somewhere in the night
A light switch, a lighter
Some razor blade laughter
Making someone alright
For an hour or maybe two
Any more, you’re getting greedy
Drive her home in the morning
Any more, you’re getting needy
And who’s got time
For that in their life?
The dark bishops dismay
At this bleak array
Of black pawns hiding
Just out of sight
Oh I tried and I tried to let them know
But they hear what they want to hear
And they see what they want to see
And they stare in my general direction
But see anything but me
I will go gentle into that good light now
I will exit stage right
Who needs another to believe in
When the lid is shutting tight

Mr Churchill strolling nude, around his house and gardens
Include, servants inured to such displays. Getting on with
Work many bills to pay' Friends with alister crowly when
Young ( black mass rituals flirting with hell and some?) Pressing the
Flesh of many world leaders..?? Or were they really just
World feeders?? Tough enough in war and fiscal matters
Never paid the grocer whose buisness got battered.'
Con-fidant of presidents and field marshalls; popes and bishops galore..
A bricklaying pastime and whatever more.??

Little black books- blooming everywhere.
from shining sea islands, to Belair mansions
to white house lattice and cathedral bastions
Little black books-Bloom-blooming-everywhere.
A few pawns are pared/
but the bishops and kings are always spared.
Little black books... blooming- blooming everywhere.
Little black books with coal dusted secrets
Magically disappear.

It’s high tide worldwide
shock waves lash the shore
America’s gone socialist
Russia revels in Soviet mist
Hamasniks take on Israel
like a mouse up against a lion
Ukraine’s out-growled Putin two years so far
Too bad the West won’t buy in
Europe’s nearly an afterthought
China and India ascendant
Look to African bishops and priests
on them the Catholic Church’s dependent
And with all their social-engineering initiatives
the Left’s atheists are newly propitiative

Abbots of darkness
bishops of pain
Cloistered in dogma
praying for rain
Thunderous chanting
tempest above
Damning false prophets
blessing a dove
Grace comes a hailstorm
Coventry’s shame
Lost in its downpour
thirst to remain
Warning blasphemers
in skies that portend
Ordained and self-serving
the drought never ends

The pontiff and I
Finally, the pope left, I saw him leave in a helicopter, dressed
in fetching white, his bishops wore black dresses with red stripes like the Norwegian Gestapo wore during the war.
They say 1.5 million people came to his venues, where did
pilgrims go for a pee?
It has been hot today, the sun knowing it has nothing to lose
shines with the utmost brutality not taking any prisoner.
Bodies under the trees, in the avenue, neglected old people dying in their beds, their broods, have gone to the beach
The heat makes people egocentric.
The pope said, when in a lyrical mood “he is a surfer riding on a wave of love.” Not bad for an old man about my age.
The vicar of Christ doesn't worry about breakfast tomorrow
still, I think it is a hard life living in a golden fish bowl.

The king was fair but he chose his wives in a haphazard way.
Subjects of his kingdom said king would one day “rue the day”.
It happened after wife number seven, an awful mean queen.
The ones who watched it happen, said it could not be unseen.
She wiped the throne room with the king’s decapitated head.
Who did that? Asked newcomers, but no one already there said.
For the red queen was a terror, who loved mopping the floor.
With others emotions, and she had more devilish deeds in store.
The bishops and knights ran off to other kingdoms, over the lawn.
There were no rooks in sight, and one crippled horrified pawn.
If chess was the game, I guess the queen had won, but not fair.
The last time I saw her she was climbing high on the stair.

The term pope derives from the Greek "pappas" (father)
Originally
This title was applied to bishops
Later became common to reserve the title
Exclusively to the Bishop of Rome
The Supreme Pontiff

I’m sure you have a hobby,
A passion of some sort,
Some people might like biking,
Others might like naughts.
Although some people might think,
Gardening is the best,
For me I think chess is solely the best,
To the point where I would play for hours on end,
With no rest!
There are pawns and knights and bishops,
Don’t forget the forks,
But wait, there’s more,
Can’t you remember the trades?
This amazing game,
Has a truly amazing aim,
To offer a simple trade,
Could end up to be black pieces’ raid!
Now I’m sure you know,
What makes chess so fun,
This game is truly amazing,
So play this game of thought instead of waste your time and run.
