Checkmate
The Pawn and Knight, the Rook and Queen-
Bishops hunt the fleeing King
Too many moves (I'm sure to lose)
A court of squares- two fiends!...

Chess
The white and black squares with bishops and knights
Whether English or French, just can't get right
My pieces can't stand his defence
There’s King and Queen, but no Prince
To help me checkmate and end this boring fight...

A Variety of Piety
When the face of satan flickers
Across your heart and soul
Bishops, priests and vicars
Will show their sacred role

Their aim to help society
By teaching wrong from right
This variety of piety
Will keep you in the light...

First Love Crushed
I was crushed
When I thought that
Me and my first love
Was going to be together forever
But I found out that
I was merely a pawn
In his chess game but
I became strong enough to
Destroy his queen
Also, his bishops
And knights and
Was able to break free
Of the hold that
He assumed he
Had over me...

Chess-tickle an chess is blest by all that slew, to kill to kill, but ne'er a few, all in the name of sport, pawnys fall for naught , while Bishops test the stew, with a sluttyy Queen a shrew, of rusty Knights have ought, the Kings crown sits askew:} the skill of battle fought, to master it some do! He Had No Balls
Still the bone remained....
Pulling on his chain; ever snarling
A tug of war with, her tree as meat loaf
Became his dreams and gobble said the turkey
Unto her queen bee ? Blue bishops atop pogo sticks a fly
With one big eye siphoning the marrow from time's sparrow; slobbering
Their madman howls holy cow his orange cat meows wow, where has Alice gone....

Guy In the Sky
In quest for approval
they look to the sky
It’s totally unusual
but they see a guy

And though he not there
they devote in prayer
saying he cares
up high but where?

They tell of his wishes
have Popes and Bishops
explain what he dishes
obnoxious bigots

Can’t call them a nutcase
for it is offensive
as they gaze up to space
with love demented...

I can do my job while sleep
and bishops splay
and angels weep
tears of fears of
home made stewin'
nine eleven coffee brewin'
discontent and fox news spewin'
hatred that's ungood.

There's no sense in poverty
of coupla billion folks like me
who have no interest in the sheen
propagated by an instinct mean
ingless. When ya see the entire scene
it seems
that's how it goes....

The Drought
Abbots of darkness
bishops of pain
Cloistered in dogma
praying for rain

Thunderous chanting
 tempest above
Damning false prophets
 blessing a dove

Grace comes a hailstorm
Coventry’s shame
Lost in its downpour
thirst to remain

Warning blasphemers
in skies that portend
Ordained and self-serving
 the drought never ends

(The New Room: September, 2023)...

Little black books- blooming everywhere.
from shining sea islands, to Belair mansions
to white house lattice and cathedral bastions

Little black books-Bloom-blooming-everywhere.
A few pawns are pared/
but the bishops and kings are always spared.

Little black books... blooming- blooming everywhere.
Little black books with coal dusted secrets
Magically disappear.

Lord, Speaking From My Chest
Before, I never understood Chess
This game
Took on an interesting name
As our Creator, you know why things are done
Why our Father and Jesus Christ are one
The Pawns
Move them along
Rooks
Take a look!
The Knights horses delight
They saw the light
Our Lord's Bishops
Are blessing it
Commence and advance
The queen will have her dance
Our King is never late
Checkmate!...

The Pillars of humanity
felled by little boys tears
Irish clover
not so lucky for boys in white
defrocked
a new generation of holy men
the cycle of sodomy
sickens the soul
yet the masses
on their knees
sending child
like a lamb on the cross
blood droplets
religious tears glow
ah but the Irish clap
as Saint Patrick
condemns them to purgatory
wishing the evils ones
had been aborted...

Oil and Spice
My Stockholm syndrome
crosshatch strokes across my rickety easel
lavish lavender blends of oil and spice
dye this powerless infant
catapulted into a cradle –
the dead center
of a clandestine circumference

Each hair on the stencil brush
an acrylic incision
a caressing crimson mutilation
of the narrow slit
leading both bishops and cardinals
to the vineyard of
ripened blood
- the apostolic apex...

Untitled
wearisome is the ardent wine,
icy corridors
we sooty birds descend nimbly into nests
high in drear corridors, collecting leafy glisten

among the psychotic-seeming industry
and throng of souls' bitter rinds.
i, tunneled roots, blackened bark clinging
feebly peel away, reveals then
what teething bishops sung.

a petty triumph of marrow... boxcars and
 boxcars clangin' fertile to the
fallen ladders...

We Are a Game
We are a game

The rulers
are king and Queens

The politicians
are our bishops

The enforcement
are our knights

Our medical and schools
are our castles

Then us the citizens
are the pawns

We the pawns
Can destroy the king
Can't destroy the bishops
We can destroy the castles
But not the knights
But what if the white pieces
 turns black

We will fall apart
And now
There is the ruling of death...

I lost my queen,
And I just started.
My will to proceed,
Has departed!

I grab my hair,
And look at my knights...
I fear my defence will soon fall,
As my opponents bishops bring fright!

Perhaps some trickery,
And I will survive;
'En Passant!"
My pawn does drive!

Then there was a dance,
Between their king and their rook!
And a vocalized dart, 'checkmate!'...
Where sixty-four squares violently shook!!

Checkmating the King
C-heckmating the king
H-as won a chess game;
E-very move prior to the last
S-ignals the fall of his name.
T-he queen can do nothing,
E-xcept to watch in dismay;
R-ooks look like statues that have no other way.

Y-es, black bishops are gone,
A-s well as their horses;
P-awns fight for their lives but the winning white advances.

D-ay second November
I-s for a logical thinking;
E-agerly employ the plan,
Z-ip to checkmate the king....

This Empty Cup Fills With Swords
this empty cup
fills with swords
and words de
-light the candle

(the mind sees eyes)

darkness cools the tongue

a forest of moon

a sprig of air

sings like purple

on the soul

two Angels measure and color the light…

bishops curve on a chess

-board yawns of long dawns

crystal blank dream

tasteless blessed cream

a womb and a tomb between

the seen and unseen

a quiet phone is the voice of God

crying a silence mean...

Theology exists above and beyond the Church
Holy Orders create an esteemed priest from a humble man
Everlasting life surrounds all those who believe

Consecrating bread and wine in remembrance of Jesus
Heavenly Father, Son and Holy Spirit watch over
Under the guiding light of candle, Monks toil
Revering wise leadership of Pope, Bishops and Clergy
Christians receive blessings, giving tithes in honor
Highest is the calling to live as a Saint eternal...

Premium Member Heritage of Faith
The apostles entrusted the “Sacred deposit” of the faith
Contained in Sacred scripture and Tradition
To the whole Church
By adhering to this heritage
The entire holy people
United to its pastors
Remains always faithful to the teaching of the apostles
The brotherhood
To the breaking of bread
Prayers
So, in maintaining
Practicing
Professing the faith that has been handed on
There should be a remarkable harmony between the bishops

we sit as a family in a restaurant
my son turns to me and says,

"we are chess pieces now
you're the king, mum is the queen."

he tells me my two-year-old daughter
in the high chair is the bishop

and she has to walk home diagonally
which means it'll take some time for me

to reach the restaurant door
but mum will race home weaving

in and out of other pedestrians
my son tells me not to touch him

if i touch him, i have to move him
i touch him...
