The pages written in my book
Are pages made of second looks
They tell the days of happy sad
And sometimes sprinkle crazy mad
The game is played and often lost
By those who fail to count the cost
The dreams I have are often false
And failed the chances come across
The search for love bewilders me
And often leads to poverty
Incredible insanity, indubious integrity
It always makes a fool of me is what I see
It’s incomplete she makes of me
She always makes a dunce of me
Indiscreet to her degree
Insatiable this thing I see
We learn the truth at seventeen
That love is often just a dream
A hindrance and waste of time
The author of an awful crime
Laying claim to those we name
Becomes a hopeless silly game
Knights would strive and pawns would fall
The Queen's last move would end it all
To sing a song a serenade
Write the poetry feelings play
Hold the pillow while I lay
Pretending solace while I crave
The end begins to end it all
The days we spend in love must fall
And nights to come with melodies
Of love and what it makes of me
(To be sung to the song, "Seventeen's" music)

“The pathless path beckons us ~
To get aboard God’s bliss bus”
~ quote by poet
Energy highways in form
carry currents cool and warm,
through a network amazing,
more complex than stargazing.
For those who know not, this maze
bewilders as does amaze,
being a channel for grace,
birthing bliss as God’s embrace.
Serpentine is the pathway,
to heaven an expressway,
along spine till crown on head
along which bliss mists are led.
Cell by cell and node by node,
as love pays to God an ode,
the path appears as we tread,
if in heart there be no dread.
Not much is known about this
tunnel network that so is
but suffice to say it’s true,
although known to very few.
Labyrinthine and complex,
these conduits let rapture flex
power of love magnetism
within our mind-body prism.
Only pure hearts free from stain,
may God’s love and light attain,
that as Holy Spirit flows,
so that our auric field glows.
Sages of old have spoken,
of these grid lines unbroken,
which though in truth has no name,
is for us to now reclaim.

Rapids Ahead
I hear the canyon echo the cascading eddies’ volume,
Growing louder as I paddle closer to run the descent,
To enter the lake past water, hidden rocks, and seething foam,
While an eagle soaring the gorge shrieks an impending portent.
The walls are too steep for portaging the cataract in front,
So either I seek another route or forge on straight ahead.
To challenge destiny bewilders the passive goer’s want
When serenity in life is a more secure goal instead.
Cannot the way be more perilous when fate meets its limits?
I glide my canoe between the boulders, avoiding the onslaught
Of being ripped to shreds when thrown about in the driving rapids;
I break, turn with the oar this way and that and never ease off!
Then my fear subsides when the waters calm as I ride the crest;
I’ve come this far and have further to go before I can rest.

How worthless is he who paves violence:
Is not he who bewilders the land of peace?
With his thoughts, moulding it to corrupt the people;
In the interest of satisfying himself.
But I tell you: violence spells complete anarchy!
Of that land: will development be prevented,
In the face of unaccountability;
Bad reputations altogether.
It steals the land of peace with and love for one another.
O but if, we in this, can change our forceful acts,
And be submissive to the norms of the land,
Shadowy we in the ink of joy.
I beseech you the people of land—
To watch and set your minds off violence—
For the growth of our region.
Let us march not with the shoe of violence
Rather the shoe of love and equanimity, I pray!
Worthless is he who paves destruction,
And worthy is he who resists it;
Indeed, choose:
Worthy or worthless are you?

Split Wide Open
The world of God’s miraculous,
Imbedded deep with creation’s love,
Split wide open
With the lightning of grace
Fragile shells of human bondage
Cannot contain their foolishness,
Nor feathers in the whirlwind
Neither dandelion seeds
Of crystal puffs - dizzy imbedded joy -
Uncontrollable laughter explodes,
On paths of effervescence,
Yearns to burst through
Frozen crusts of icy shame
Freezing clods of unexplainable remorse,
Floods in the wilderness of unworthiness,
Little bits of serendipity,
Untamed marvels – let loose -
In mystical coincidence grow
No fruitless plains,
No impotent fertility,
Wandering hearts harvest wonder
In seeds redeemed from Eden’s scandal,
Shattered pieces of providence’ paradise,
A universe split wide open,
Plans and diagrams dissolve in astonishment
When eternal compassion bewilders logarithms
Astounds in surprises to marvel
At the fertile unbound universe
When two weary unsuspecting paths
Link outside astral planes
And touch the fingertip of brimming joy!

Vibrant blissful presence, empathetic
Eager to serve whoever comes his way
Pure hollowed out form, always ecstatic
To the rhythm divine, in stillness sways
Spontaneous love bewilders ego
Throb of bliss brooks no thought interference
Flowing in gentleness sweet and mellow
Bubbling with joyous childlike innocence
As a humble conduit of the divine
Ceasing grasping, shifting to connecting
Content with benedictions God assigns
Aglow in bliss self-illuminating
His earth life unfolds in as is ordained
Persona nonchalant, pure and unstained

Now folks don’t get me wrong.
Carols are my favourite songs.
But times must come when
A particular one bewilders me.
For on the first day of Christmas
My lover sent to me
A partridge in a pear tree.
Now the first day of Christmas
Is of course the great feast.
The twelve days of Christmas
End on Epiphany bearing gifts.
But can anyone explain
How on the first day
I’m to receive such a weird gift?
Questions arise: is the partridge
Alive or cooked?
And how big is the pear tree?
If it really exists in winter!!
Weird I say. So I’d rather munch
On my lovely mince pies.
PS Just written for want of better things,
I love the carol really.
If one can call it a carol!!

Love hurts
I won’t tell you otherwise
it would then be a lie
a darkness so profound
an animal so notorious
fracturing our very soul with it’s transgressions
like an addiction on speed for those who dare
choosing the ones worthy of its name
a flawed proposition with loopholes cunningly concealed
behind what we assume as perfection
We fail perhaps to see what truly lies within
our only crime being who we are
a mass of flesh and blood vulnerable in its entirety
glorified by love itself and shattered by it’s ultimate truth
life bewilders us when we least imagine
the pain even greater than it could be
expectations zero to none
does it then turn out to be an experience inconceivable
and when at the very end of the tunnel
we look back and wonder whether all of it was worth it
Love smiles benevolent and whispers
You are worthy if You only believe!

"Pallida mors aequo pulsat pede
Pauperum tabernas regumque turris"
Death comes in many forms
And never counts the cost.
A brutal suicide bewilders,
Desolate are the young mother's children.
Carelessness leaves undiagnosed
The condition that kills a grandmother
And a family is left to mourn.
Death shows compassion
To take away a long-suffering
Matriarch in her sleep.
How distraught are those left behind.
Senseless is the public execution
By a disturbed assassin
She fallen in her prime
By this crime is robbed
Of her mission in life
Meaning we must weave
Into such narratives
To retain our humanity
Without which we cannot go on.

An early shadow fills the void
And winds spread out their lonely call
Where many nights I once enjoyed
And rain foretells an early fall.
You were with me full long ago;
We walked across a bed of leaves
And tried to catch the flakes of snow
Whose fall bewilders and deceives.
Since then, much time has come and passed
And only memories remain,
But I still wonder if I’d last
Outside their rich and vast domain.

Nights in white satin play as I’m looking at Vermont fall
The mesmerizing beauty touches my evolving soul
The trees like poplar, willow, birch and linden stand tall
Their boughs of leaves seem cascading like mountain waterfall
Hawk travels through horizon above corn fields of Indiana
The peregrine falcon does the same above African savanna
In the future blue wind runner will do that above Himalayan nirvana
And lord knows who will be doing it in later era
In the arctic sea
Many broken glaciers head south to meet their destiny
The sunset is violet and soul’s pigment in its majesty
The orange or gold soft clouds stretch for more than infinity
The melting glaciers form mists above the sea each of different hue
But in case of one glacier emerald sea water is in strange contrast with its royal blue
Like a mirror’s surface is ice on the glacier that’s burning blue
The that lustrous surface reflects souls bound in sunset too
But as all glaciers melt to their foundation
This one does not and in that lies its salvation
Who is on this glacier sailing abyss bewilders vastest imagination
It is defiant and magnificent visage of lord of isolation
