Psychopaths Always Betray Their Future Selves

They bargain with tomorrow as though tomorrow were a stranger, selling every sunrise for another effortless night.

They mistake fear for respect, silence for loyalty, and broken hearts for trophies of intelligence.

They sharpen every promise into another useful blade, never noticing that every cut leaves a scar upon the hand that holds it.

The future keeps careful accounts.

It remembers every friendship discarded, every kindness mocked, every bridge burned simply to admire the flames.

Power is a rented room.Time is the landlord.

One day the echoes return wearing familiar faces.
Doors remain closed.Voices grow distant.Even victory tastes of asheswhen no one remainsto witness it.

The greatest deceptionis not the lie told to another, but the lie whispered inward:

"I will never need anyone."

Years answer differently.

The mirror grows older. The kingdom grows smaller.
The applause becomes memory.

At last, there is only one companion left—

the future self,

waiting patiently among the ruins,

to inherit every debt the past refused to pay.

You denied me?

A whisper soft, a secret shared,
To you, my friend, I truly bared.
My heart, my fears, my hidden dreams,
We shared them all, it truly seems.

But then the words, like shattered seeds,
We're planted where they shouldn't be.
My private pain, a public show,
A whispered laugh, a knowing glow.

I turned to you, with tear-filled eyes,
"Did you betray me with these lies?"
You looked away, a force so cold,
" I didn't say it," you bravely told.

My secret's out, my trust is gone,
Left standing here, completely alone.
The friend I knew, a fading gleam,
A broken promise, a shattered dream.

Dumb or Dumber?

I am dumb.
Foolishness stays over me and coats my throat till I cant be me.
Tears threatening to leak.
I bite my tongue, only for the words to stop in my throat.. Because maybe no one cares..?
Maybe that "can" change..? Knowing well enough that it wont..
And never will.
Standing my ground ,hoping to be felt
But never is.
To stop from being me to being insecure to speak.
Spent so long being "okay" that I don't know if "am" okay or... not?
How foolish
Knowing it isn't
Only for me to "betray" them
Either way,
Am selfish.
And will "always" be.. in their eyes
For them to judge
And never to judge.

Premium Member Simple Observation 13 - When you confide in a person

When you confide in a person and they say things behind your back
then it's worse than someone whom to your face launches an attack.

The Aborted Trip

The Uba flies,Sani Pass flickers under streetlights,
My chest aches with thought, lungs burn with reminiscence,
Sacrificing pride twists my mind with doubt, she lingers unseen-
I remain still

Mist owns Vrede,a sunless Free State night in autumn,
My pulse revolts, doubt gnaws the edges of determination-
I grip the door handle,heart rebelling,breath caught-
I order the driver back

Give It To The Rain

Give it to the rain,
all of your hurt and your pain.
Watch as it belittles under a clap of thunder,
all of your hurt, disdained.

Scream it to the sky,
make it heard.
Let him know how much it hurt when you went through his phone.
His promises, like fallen leaves, scattered by the wind.

Look to the sea, give it the stare you gave him when you found out he was leading you on as if you were some game.

Listen to your heart, let it hurt,
but never let it change who you are for worse.

Listen to your mind,
even if your heart isn't ready to leave him behind,
Remember how much loving him hurt.

Betray

Please have some faith in me,
I will never betray you DOWN.

Those Who Love Us Most Betray Us the Worst

Reflections of a reality that is paved
With a dark thread of blood
A flood of uncertainty that sparkles a deep truth!
Those who love us most
Betray us the worst!
At a given time
Love will burst with glory
But that is not the whole story

First blood stains never fade
The blade is hidden
Then all of a sudden
When the weight is too heavy
The game changes and
Your name loses power
Within the heart of another!
Shame fills the one and
The other allows pride to ride with them!
The one reflects and
Sees that those who love most
Betray us the worst!

Love was never the problem!

To Err Is Human

If you love
why would you lie
why would you cheat
why would you betray
why would you go astray

Is it for love
that you lie
To you preserve the life that is
To retain calm
To maintain peace

To overcome
the guilt
the feel
the passion
the love

To bring back
the family
the friend
the memories
the togetherness

But to maintain this calm
You have to lie
You have to compromise
You have to live with guilt
You have to let go your true love
You have to swallow the bitter pill

Forever remain
Afraid that you could be caught
Afraid that you could be abandoned
Afraid that you could be looked down upon
Afraid that you could never be trusted by anyone
Afraid that you could have to let go of everything

Be honest
You will retain your honesty
You will retain your dignity
You will retain your love
You will retain your sleep
You will retain your relation
You will retain your feelings
You will retain your kids

As Alexander Pope said "To err is Human..."

Betray

Betrayal

You stole the string from my heart,
It played like a harp.
Then you fashioned it into a ligature.

Betrayed Trust

Wrath shortening my breath, tendering my pulse
Her, walking across the class to kiss the friend I lost
Shame on him, to give up my trust for the one I love

Back to the good old days, I and her on the hills
Forgetting our meal, no hunger to feel
Spending time together being the only thing right

A best friend that I used to have, known all secrets that I had
Fell for the one I pleaded to God and She for him to clot my blood
Betraying my love that I spent everything in life to craft

Taking me for grant, my friend gave everything to the lost love
Forgetting the oath for our friendship to last
Believing, like I did, she will last till the world’s blast

But, to repeat the history of my sorrow and misery
She left my friend without feeling sorry
To live her life, with someone who can give a golden penny!

That He Betrayed Me

That he betrayed me wasn’t a fiction
I gave my first cheek to his gentle kiss
And the second one to his heavy blow
I gave him my heart
But he drew draw dagger at it
I was dying for love
Of a man who knows no love

I’ve smiled at myself to scorn
For folly that bewildered my gentle soul
Taking lust for love and love for lust
Hurrying after true love
In a loveless man

Daydreaming of Gold

Full of love
Shadows on the wall
Ghosts in your head that lay in your bed
I'm outlining your movements with my fingertips
Counting the times you give me gold
My heart yearns for more each time
So I can spend it on love
Thoughts of you on my skin
Breathing deeply, letting you in
Daydream gold has fallen into my bed
I cant get you out of my head

-

Gifts of love
Lips to ear melodies
Siren of the deep
Drag me under
Take me further
Please me
Free me
Let me go
Watch me fall under your eyes
Taken advantage of my heart
Make me feel special and bright
No support to hold me up, soon as your words leave I fall out of sight
Through fantasy and reality I'm one with you
I sink to the bottom to reach you too
What's left under my pillow is fools gold
Deceiving my eyes to think I've caught such a priceless find
Deception I'm left to find

Let Not the False Betray You

Poor or too rich,
different in form or race?
Remain slave to no opinion,
identity is a label for a can of beans.
Nothing living and upright
need bow
to a tribal or common hitch or halter.

When they call you this and that,
every badge they pin on you
is a disguised condescension.
To them you will always be
a victim of low expectations.

Man is your name and woman your truth.
When they come to you
with their polls, clipboards,
their pandering unctuousness,
look them in the eye,
say: ‘I am one of a kind,
a race of becoming giants,
a living spirit of God,

imperfect - yes
but I can be seen clearly,
while you
live in the shadow of a lie.’

Heat of Fire

You can't forget your grudges,
Without taking full revenge on the offender!
Believe me, he will be very happy
If it can keep you awake.

You know what if not with us,
Then you went against all of us.
And you will see with your own eyes,
What happens to those who betray.

I only exist here,
And I live for movement.
A fiery mixture is burning in me,
She's calling me to battle.

I don't want to be able to forgive,
And my memory is excellent.
I will break the seventh seal,
And I will give myself to the element of anger.

I hover on the edge, so I live.
No one knows my secret.
I'll fall with you in the grass,
I'll burn you by accident.

One day I'll tell you my secrets
And don't be afraid of me at that moment.
I will open a window to you in my soul
To you the true me comprehend.
