Those innocent tough spikey, sword-shaped leaves
Centered with white rosettes in tight buds caused anger

Soon the Yucca Will Bloom

Bleak are the days
All have gone away.
Soon the Yucca will Bloom.

The rush, the crush,
The gong reverberating
Bongs into quiet.

Red and green turning
Disappearing into dull of order;
Persons morf into telephones.

And the gong’s last tone is silent.
Colored lights are out.
Soon the Yucca will Bloom....
