Wrap Me In Your Comfort

Wrap me in your comfort

Let me melt inside your eyes

Kiss away my salty tears

Embrace me where you lie

Undress me with your passion

Sooth me with your song

Tease me with your tenderness

Drive me crazy all night long

Be my pillow when I need one

Blanket me with your loving care

Cradle me in your arms of satin

Be the answer to my prayer

Spring And Sunlight Wrap This Heavenly View

Slowly I climb that very steep and rocky hill,
seeking the beautiful summit so far above.
As a breeze sends me that cool pleasant chill,
far away echoes, sweet calls of morning dove.

Summit reached, burden was greatly reduced,
as I saw great flowery meadows unfurled.
This the beauty God magnificently produced,
one of his many fine gifts to this world.

Spring and sunlight wrap this Heavenly view,
in a sheen invading my searching soul.
Each visit, I find feelings serene and new
relieving me of dark world's heavy toll.

Thus I battle with dark and unknown gloom.
By entering Nature's gifted wilderness room.

Robert J. Lindley, 09-24-2015

Note: I just felt the need to write a sonnet this morn.
Thus from my memory this new poem was born from
a place that I once visited quite often.

Premium Member That's a Wrap

Lights out and all is dark, except...
this darkness is not what you'd expect.
Not a movie in a blackened theater.
It's your script. You, the director and creator.
Lying awake in your bed,
scenes playing over in your head.
Some make you laugh,
some tear you in half,
too many make you cry.
Seeing your life passing by
in reel after reel...
How does it make you feel
to see events from the past,
ones you thought would last,
until you read the words,
       "THE END"

No more love scenes of pretend.
Actors walking off the set...regret.
No sequels to be shot.
No new twists in another plot.
   Run the credits?
       Forget it.

The theater is black
there's no going back.

          C u t!
     That's a wrap.

Wrap It Up

Nobody ever said
that true love had to
wait
They just said let sex
be late
"No glove no love"
was what was said to
me
Bc if it's uncovered
might come out with
a baby or a STD
Be smart, do right by
God, nd dont let them
get their way
Bc HIV nd kids are
here to stay

To Rap Or Not To Wrap

Wrap, rap a Christmas wrap
open the mind turn on the tap,
a roll of paper with colouration
metres or yards without perforation,
to be carefully folded with a gift inside
a present for the season you wanna hide,
it'll add to excitement on Christmas day
when the careful wrapping will be thrown away
after being opened by rip and tear
to reveal slippers, socks, or underwear.
Rap, wrap a Christmas rap
not quite a minefield but still a trap,
would you begin with 'w' or wiith an 'r'
because starting with a 'c' would be a carp too far,
so rap or wrap it's a dit's time to nap
and when you awaken from the alcoholic cup
it's time for you and the washing-uo,
the drying of the crocks will be the last lap
it's time to slip into your Christmas Wrap,
now cosy and warm and the whiskey in reach
as once again you've missed HM's speech,
the broadcast and your nap did not overlap,
surprise, surprise, you missed her Christmass RAP.
So this must do there's no need to clap
it's only twelve months to pick rap or wrap.
now is the time, it's over, this is a WRAP.

I come in different shades,
Like the ones in a rainbow cake.
I taste in different shapes,
I was mixed like a milkshake.
I was blended with coconut milk
As soft as silk.
Try me,
You'll never forget me.
Or else
I'll wrap you myself!

Premium Member Wrap Me

We used to laugh, we used to cry.
We used to sweat, we used to dry.
We come and go, with "ho" or "hi"
Under the sky, we used to try.
Talk low and high, with "yo" or sigh.

Bubble Wrap

Do you think it inappropriate?

To exchange ones husband for some perfectly devine
Time consuming
Playfully popping
Bubble wrap?

You see, Friday night with at least one square meter of the stuff
I could be amused
I could not be bored
Not lonely.......
Un angry

That yet again he has failed to bypass the Public House
His Friday home

Hense yet again I'm stuffed....alone
Twiddling my fidgeting fingers and mind
Creating all kinds of scenarios which are
Far less than kind

Like murder beneath the patio
As battered fish upon the floor
Like turning up uninvited
And creating Mary Hell by pubs door

But if i had some bubble wrap
I am, so easily entertained
I'd twist contort the compliant material
Imagining twas his remains ....

Generation 'Wrap'

crammed feet and belly bearing next generation, swiftly he kissed her

A Wrap-Song

A man takes the wrapper
And vices it into a ball
The end of its purpose
And to dustbin will fall
The wrapper kept the product in place
It kept it fresh in time and in space
It kept it together and sealed it from harm
It kept it warm whilst it still had some charm
But a wrapper is opened
And the product escapes
The product is consumed
Whilst from this the wrapper escapes
The wrapper is taken
To the recycling plant
And given a new life
A new journey’s start
Funny how the trash does not end its career
Whilst the prideful product
Has so much to fear

Where Green Forests Wrap Desirous Land

Across the midnight divide in a shroud,
this soul sails upon glistening gold wings.
There with vanity and what pride allowed,
my seeking heart wanders along and sings.

Beneath snow covered summit my joy shouts
where green forests wrap the desirous land.
To find me, hire the greatest Native scouts
for I move on with the animal band.

Near to the sweetest flowing river's banks
each morn, I rise to give eternal praise.
Give this, my Native American thanks,
escaped I, from dark cities wretched haze!

Deep in that huge divide my spirit dwells,
no longer enduring man's living hells.

(2.)Saddest Blues Flow Through Winter's Icy Frame

Saddest blues flow through winter's icy frame
Even when its cold winds no longer chill.
Sure, white snow at Christmas garners great fame
Oft forgetting blizzards God's creatures kill.
Horrible sights seeing, hard frozen scenes
Realizing death travels in its breath.
Bitter truth, I found in my early teens
When my puppy escaped and froze to death.
Yes, I was far too young to understand
Winter is Nature, as death to living.
When seeing, ice frozen across the land
Heart yearning for Springs new, greener givings.

That moment, those sad blues are tossed away
Anticipating Spring's first warm green day.

Time In Bubble Wrap

Time in bubble wrap
popping with rage and fury
'waiting that moment

Victorious time
lullaby in the background
when dreams have come true

Until then there's pain
inexplicable moments
ballroom dance awaits

Ballerina spins
melancholy musicals
sentimental box

Box full of treasure
unfolding pleasurous joy
welcoming me home

Explosion of time
paradox of decisions
"Which one to choose now?"

All of the moments
rolled out like music paper
waiting to be played

Harp awaits in back
for its solo performance
stars falling like tears

Let's fill the wood box
with memories and good times
light up the darkness

Carried like lantern
through the Riding Red forest
wolves play with devils

Until I get home
place where all my love resides
"Enjoy the journey!"
