Best Vocations Poems
I was reminiscing the other day about people I've known o'er the years,
And found it strange that their names corresponded with their careers.
For instance, Joseph Carpenter was handy with hammer, nails and saw.
Clyde Barrister, famed ambulance chaser, successfully practiced law!
Art Paynter, dabbled in pornographic oils and is now confined in prison.
My dentist, Whitey Capps, takes care of my choppers as if they were his'n.
A neighbor, Semmi Riggs, is a long-haul trucker and is on the road a lot.
He married a classmate of mine, Tipsy Toper, renowned as the village sot!
An old army buddy, Hank Roper, is a cowpoke and rides the rodeo scene.
An old girl friend of mine, Freda Flick, is now starring on the silver screen.
The town ne'er-do-well, Don Heller, got religion and became a preacher.
His brother Bob (known as stuttering Bob) became an English teacher!
Willie Wrench turned out to be one of the finest Buick mechanics around,
And his wife Lila (nee Leak) is a plumber and none better is to be found.
Cyrus Cloud is working for the National Weather Service as a meteorologist,
And I hear that Buddy Butts has a thriving practice as a famed proctologist!
Frenchie Horne has his own band and I see him on the boob tube now and again.
An old pal, Gilbert Graves, is the village undertaker located at Fifth and Main.
Was it intentional or fickle fate that wedded these names to their vocation?
I reckon in a sense 'twas both due to a struggling bard's wild imagination!

Naturally regenerative
living systems,
like Earth
optimize global ecological opportunities
as co-redemptive economies
of loving solidarity relationships
expressing mutual not-negative subsidiarity,
within a web of interdependent Win-Win default networks.
If we are born passionate investments
of past yang/yin regenerations
redeeming economic risks
weighed as ecological opportunity
for pleasuring pleasant peace
with active love for all species,
all nature,
all Earth,
all Universal Intelligence,
then are we also,
at least potentially,
an interdependent species
of co-redeeming economists
thinking and acting and relating and feeling
sensing and feeling and smelling and tasting
touching and respecting and appreciating ecologically balanced reasons,
seasons of time and pattern and rhythm?
Where fasting advents precede
and roundly follow
cornucopic polycultural seasons for all cells
and organelles.
We find and sustain co-therapeutic relationship balance
half way between Yang-ego's deductive-reductive immunity boundaries
and Yin-eco's intuitive receptive co-operativity,
co-redemptivity,
correlation-ability,
mutual empathic gratitude
polypathic trans-actional multisystemic relationships.
If co-redeemers are messiahs
then we are also mutual bodhisattvas
as we intend cooperative Win-Win eco-normative salvation
and eco-logically therapeutic outcomes.
Perhaps mutual messiahs find it simpler to wrestle with,
rather than against death's pain and suffering,
to figure out what to divest of
by reconnecting within each moment's present opportunity
to what and whom and when and where and why we invest integratively
with each Other's health and well-being,
co-redemptive economically rational, yet passionate, logic,
as well as Right-brain's intuitive temperate sense of balance,
proportion,
enthymematic syntax
permaculturing rooted rhythms
of mindful songs
and global dance.
Ego's Logos as co-determinate partner
with Eco's Right-brain Mythos
co-redemptive political design
re-creating economic developmental revolutions.
For Us
Like divine visions, they dance
and bouquets of roses are tossed over their feet…
No matter what they say, it consummates as poetry
and chills might run the spine…
They construct bridges
and go on to design dazzling towers.
Crowds gasp!
They tell and re-tell the legends,
braiding the fabric of generations…
They wander wonders
and inspire creativity…
They see rainbow lights ringing round souls
and look up with awe to glimpse heaven’s glory!

Thanks be to God…
Real estate buying and selling businesses,
professionalized,
specialized
competitive capitalist agency
Began with commercial
corporate relocations
and quickly spread
to domestic competitions
to sell high
and buy low.
Highest and best competitive use
has become an industry maxim
for facilitating transactions
of human housing habitats--
less concerned than another time
for humane home sacred ecohabitats.
How would real property look and sound,
touch and feel,
smell and taste
healthier and wealthier
if we were to reconsider this maxim?

resonant,
resilient communities
Of multicultural
multigenerational
regenerational trust,
care giving and receiving,
democratic prosperity
and economically resilient well-being,
rooted in our indigenous tribal memories
and flowering as our future cooperative housing
and healthiest environmental communion habitat
co-occupational
bilateral health/wealth
ego/eco-conscious balance,
natural rhythms,
spiritual patterns of healthy seasons,
climates,
internal and external
habitats of self/other-optimizing
resizing
downsizing climate risk,
by upsizing cooperative health opportunities.
VOCATIONS IN VERSE
In labs, clever Chemists concoct & create,
Crafting cures calculatively & combating fate.
Meanwhile, skilled Engineers erect and design,
Building bridges & making systems align.4
Artistic Architects envision and draft,
Constructing castles & crafting craft.
Talented Teachers train & inspire young minds,
Shaping futures & leaving lasting finds.8
Commercial Consultants counsel and guide,
Helping businesses thrive, side by side.
Dedicated Doctors diagnose and heal,
Saving lives & making hearts reveal.¹²
Innovative IT Specialists code and compute,
Solving problems & proving tech acute.
Creative Cartoonists conjure, create & draw,
Bringing broad imaginations to life's law.¹6
Skilled Scientists scan & scrutinize with care,
Artistic Authors articulate thoughts to share.
Resourceful Researchers seek and discover,

As near unto perfect as verbal rule,
By golden rule we go to school,
But spins of wisdom’s perfect,
Do not occur above one’s neck.
For the demons of the mind,
Are, seeking a place to find,
Within one’s education,
Places of evil vocation.
So send evil imagination,
On an extended vacation,
By using your information,
To offer a moral oblation.
For all passions built in pride,
Create one hellish ride,
But in it’s proper place,
Passions of grace have a race.
Now in love truth’s scheme,
Very peaceful and supreme,
Is as lover’s expected dream,
All would desire it would seem.
But very seldom the case,
In demons of mind’s race,
Thou in Love no sorrows added,
For truth is mercy padded!!!
