As the sunlight permeates the fog
Revealing dust's debris
Sunbeams filter within the soul
Exposes faults carefree

As selfishness dances around
Critical nature unfolds
A little pride displays itself
That hateful spirit cold

Lasciviousness floats below
Displays lust's wantonness
Are these desires cleaned from the soul
Other thirsts thoughtlessness

Cleansed by sunlight's radiant beams
Variance swiftly exposed
Hatred, wrath and strife destroyed
To love quickly transposed

When touched by the master's swift hand
All character flaws cleansed
Why did not simple surrender
Happen sooner my friend

An Immigrants Position

I came first but you did not write me in history
You made me mute, invisible, estranged
From my own heredity and great memory
With the slivering tongue arranged
Upon my brain. You brought me back, later
Across the wet desert of the Atlantic
From coffle to cotton, without choice in the matter
So I would believe I was a lunatic.

For only lunatics have no sense of place or name
Make roads they cannot walk, make garments
That cannot cover the stereotypes of shame.
I proved genius in better moral arguments
Did not let me take your life for all your cruelty.
Here is one more for your book, from islands
To continents I made them all the same
 You left them blood and gold from your hands
Dripping, I followed you with a different name

Look again, who is the immigrant? Who do you fool?
Let me not deny your stealth, this separation
Of the vine from the root, by dividing you rule
But before you set us at variance, a suggestion
What is the DNA of all your wealth, the legacy
Of pirates and slaves? There is no beggar's hand
Here, just agents to recoup with undue courtesy
The treasures stolen from love and native land

One Heart

I wonder our world should it beat with one heart
                   The variance found would not tear us apart
In words formed of love bid to meet each new day
              Together in one breath, we’d sweep hate away
Intelligence summoned by thinking in tune
                Transforming the winter to springtime in June

Inside of what looks like a shiny blue orb
     The water that flows through our lives would absorb
Infirmities fashioned by weakness of mind
           To forge a new armor, our strengths well defined
I wonder our world should it beat with one heart
                          The tragedies requisite for us to start

Premium Member The Rest of Her Life

Each day was the best day for the rest of her life.
Having conquered the darkness, she was master of her own destiny
which now could be the positive conjuring of will.
The long desired, unspeakable joy was becoming a reality.

When the way grew troublesome she did not care,
reminding herself that fate had dealt a hand of variance completely and
uniquely distinct from any known previously.
Caution often caught her thoughts, suggesting a twisted outcome of irony.

~No Matter If You Are Black or White~

     Nor, if you are yellow or brown...
     God does see, all the good and bad we do!
     He and only He, will grant you an Eternal Crown.

     Children, marching in hate parades??
     While Mom rewards them with cool Gatorade??
     Satan has for them a hot, eternal, spade!

     We are not the colors of crayons, look at our skin.
     A wonderful variance in colors, to love and have
     respect in!

     But the horrid mix of politics and media, needs
     division, to create a Communist state.
     So they will rule your ultimate, human fate!

     Do not fall for racial ploys, to destroy your nation!
     Hate is just a free, all paid trip to Hell's great nation.
     An eternity of pain and suffering for pleasurable
     nights of looting, free, destructive sensations!

Premium Member Still Lovely

Oh, sweet nature you are beautiful but sad
as you think back on the bounty you once had.
Artic palaces stood firm for many years.
Now the shifting, rising shore so closely nears.
Yet in your changing seasons can be found
still a lovely that in variance abounds.

The French Revolution: a Sonnet

Revolution – popular discontent –
From which revolt of third estate arose
Of burden’d citizens which all resent;
Monarch’s frivolities must be disposed.
Committee of public safety, in charge,
Dooms all to die at Jacobin command –
The guillotine strikes fear, makes numbers large
Embrace of death that variance demands.
All are ruled under the directory,
With those that led now dead, missing their heads.
Among them, none could guess trajectory
Of the directory torn now to shreds

Through one man, emperor by self ordained:
       The great Napoleon, o’er France to reign.

Statistics

The best way to see variation
is computing a standard deviation.
 But variance is preferred
 By all the non-nerds
Who can't do a rootification.

The Project Manager

"Mr. Nelson, you are brought
before this very board
to answer for some variance
that cannot be ignored
your project shows completion
thirteen months ahead of time
the stakeholders are happy
and you haven’t spent a dime
normally this type of thing
is very well and good
but your forecast did not show this
as you must have known it should
this deviation shall be factored
in your pay review
the auditors have other things
that you must answer to
approval on requirements
approval on design
all seem to have gone missing
Nelson, have you lost your mind?
and what about the risk review
they’ll surely want to see
what made you think you could ignore
our methodology?
and so he spoke in his defense,
"well sir I must admit it.
it was a simple, harmless change.
we went ahead and did it".

Quickened Pace
~~~~~~~~~~~
In the day rapidly approaching
a rapture of which there shall be no more…
of parasitic encroaching
the minds of men
bent on sin…
“Love wins!”
I have read
from beginning to end
the books of many men’s sins
Their concepts galore, human explore
inept are many books of madness
cause of lives of much sadness
Ah… one book of precept
no variance,… of love kept
the Master recipe…
through it’s crystal truth I see
myself in the mirror…
mirrored Chrystal looking back at me
Ah… throne of grace
I see… I am quickened by quickened pace
I look into a familiar amazing face
the Chrystal truth of amazing grace
I see another face…
bought of amazing grace.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Warning: A view from human concepts might find the preceding poem
a bit preachy, as sub consciously this terminology has emerged of human
concept for purpose of discrediting wisdom when it is imparted of Godly
precept. While wisdom imparted on the level of human concepts is declared
to be the only source and means of conveying knowledge. “Two Logics!”
(Isaiah 55:7-11) (The Christly mind vs. the human mind) “You have the
mind of Christ!” You May use it!
                                           Selah….

POETRY POUR

Tangled and tailored mind mines
  yielding schemes of lyrics chants.
Epic cadence aide memoires
    as fragments inked to stelaes
  beginning poetry birth..

Canons animated germs
  sprouting better verse meiosis.
Struggles ravel block strong concepts
  among rituals to bonny
     fountain penned poems.

Tragedy and comedy paint
   drama portraits. Infused too
     are muses displaying unique styles.
 Variance spells beauty and magic
Freedom of speech spread in cruise.

Now... Anything experience
   by the senses may cradle
      lashing wreathes of new verses
Awaiting! Just awaiting
   to be written and told.

A pen and paper at hand
  or ipad to scribble words.
Conceiving poetry
   to be labored on and on.
Beholding and moving man!

Author one, two, three and more.
Don't hold back! let it go!
  Capture this one through...
Make it happen! Let it flow!

Adieu

Already the leaves are staining red,
Blood, too thin, seeps through taut skin,
Capillaries weak walled and weeping;
Dying Summer bows proud head,
Emptied of green glory;
Filled, fiery cauldrons blaze red-orange,
Golden flamed tongues glowing.
How harsh that she must fly
Into the great beyond,
Jettisoned like a human soul
Killed before its time.
Letting go, whether fast or slow,
Makes no variance in the pain;
Numbingly, it strikes the heart
Over and over again.
Passionate, she would linger,
Queenly in her floral gown,
Regaled for stunning splendor;
Sympathy never his approach,
Time beats a strong percussive stroke
Unstoppable, dispensed in quick cadence.
Valiantly she struggles, clinging,
While wild winds hew each leaf down;
Xylogenous lichen sparsely veils
Yearning limbs laid vulnerable and bare:
Zephyrus and Chloris frolic there no more.

Note: Zephyrus, the gentle god and personification
of the west wind, the bringer of light spring and
summer breezes in Greek mythology; he abducted
and fathered children with the goddess Chloris and
gave her the domain of flowers.

Betting On Last

I've always loved predicting
Which will be the last to die.
I'm rarely right but still each night
I study them and try.

They start out on an equal plane
But who knows why they change.
Like human life spans, variance
Will always seem so strange.

So as the end draws near, I watch
To see which burns down last.
Just one more night and then another
Chanukah has passed.
