Best Unmotivated Poems
Today’s students strive only to meet expectations
We used to go all out to exceed expectations
Young people have no real goals, just vague destinations
Their minds seem to be set on low-level vibrations
Our young people seem to lack worthy aspirations
Discouraged teachers are left with exasperation
With weapons in schools they must avoid confrontations
And keep a close eye on escape route locations
These kids can’t even hold meaningful conversations
Or do the simplest mathematic calculations
Their free time is spent in video game fixations
A "C" or a "D" harvests little indignation
Teachers get no support from school administrations
Even when students fail final examinations
These unmotivated kids have few variations
They only want to slide by and meet expectations
One day these children will be running corporations
Or choosing how governments make appropriations
It’s frightening when you consider the implications
For our world's future, I have angst-filled expectations

THE DIGITAL WORLD
Here we are living in a digital world.
Almost everything in a click of our phone
or computer or other electronic devices
and in a blink we see or hear what we want.
So we see families gathered at a table
to celebrate occasions and they are
all glued to their phones, watching or
googling, texting or playing games.
No one is even talking to each other.
It is what it is …. Or is it?
And yes, we don’t even need to move.
We can do some things without moving,
no need to get up from conveniently sitting
by calling another electronic device, Alexa.
Then they complain why they are gaining
weight, fatigued or tired or having
body aches, dizziness, plainly being
lazy, unmotivated, hardly moving.
It is what it is …. Or is it?
Gone are the days when mothers
were watching their toddlers play.
Little boys pulling the string tied
around one end of a little box or carton.
Little girls playing with rag dolls.
Now, toddlers are watching cartoons,
kids’ shows or playing games in television,
iPads, phones while mothers do housework
or work, chat, google while remotely glancing
or occasionally checking on them.
It is what it is …. Or is it?
Is it the digital world invading us?
Or is it us consuming everything digital?

Unmotivated,
I’d dropped my creative side
on the kickoff line
until I picked it up at halftime.
Fumbling,
I now use things I know little about
to explain things I know even less
about life.
Touchdown when I get it right!

On issues like Gay marriage,
Medical marijuana or assisted suicide,
Will of the people goes out the window.
They argue, one can act normally when high
Pot-smoking makes you unmotivated, lie!
They have their own axes to grind.
We come across another type of people who argue
There are better medications than Marijuana
Less damaging health to relieve pain
Much better treatment for pain
Marijuana is not a drug
But an herb and a flower
God put it here to grow
No right to say God is wrong
They have their own breads to butter.
Yet another majority of people who brab
Roll it. Light it.
Inhale it. Hold it.
They have their own amusements to rejoice.

Walls closing in on the darkness that surrounds the very edges of my thoughts as I force a fake smile to appear along my face with eyes clouded insecurely holding my innermost pain… Buried down deeply in the deepest forgotten center of my aging body lies the innocence that was unwillfully stolen and damaged… The innocence of a bright blossoming child/young adult that once shined brightly twinkling in the brown pools of my eyes instantly taken away leaving behind an emptiness that I unsuccessfully tried to fill with sexual conquests and hatred… Hatred for the lack of attention to small details, for blindly overlooking the change within myself… The once happy, loving and sensually sweet hearted innocence child was now a violently empty promiscuous young adult who now lacked the self respect and self love that once filled the beautifully instilled thoughts floating around in her mind. Continuous shots and toxic blows continued to diminish and damage the love and respect of oneself from deeply within… Depression stalks the painfully mirrored images of the past… Once beloved activities turned into crushingly unmotivated projects of self doubt and inner hatred.. the fight to stay strong becomes a down spiraling roller coaster as the willingness to drown into the smallest corner to shield the last bit of love and happiness within yourself as the gleaming brightness that once filled your eyes drains and diminishes until it numbingly dies out in front of the very mirror that use to portray your greatest lie covered by a mask of makeup until you no longer recognize that immensely damaged individual you craved to never become.. Numb, broken and defeated are words that continuously run rampantly inside your mind as you drift into a slumber of nothingness you wonder if this was all you!
What will you leave behind?
What will people remember you for?
What moments do you want people to remember you by?
Are you happy of where you are now? Or are you working towards something that will help you achieve your goals in the future?
What can you do to get to where you want to be? --To be someone that others will look-up to?
When you see your own reflection, what/who do you see?
--Do you see someone who will do anything to get to where they want to be? A fighter who will face any obstacle, trial, and hindrance along the path less traveled?
--Do you see someone who is unsure of where to go. . . indecisive, apprehensive, unmotivated to explore?
--Do you see the same person that once stood in the same place, oblivious of tomorrow, carefree, relentless to be who they want to be. . guided by the ones whose hands are calloused from scraping every minute of every hour just so you could survive another day?
Who will remember you once you've gone away?
Who will remember your smile, your laughter, the way you look, the way you move?
Who will be there to stand beside your remnants, to clean your eternal bed?
When are you going to set your foot-print on unknown territory?
When are you going to make this day last longer as to fill more sand in the hour glass?
Why do you matter?
Why do you live?
How are you going to live a better life than yesterday?
Like diamonds, do you wish your history to last forever?
What are you hungry for?
What will be your last words?
What . . .will you. . . leave behind?
The day’s been impressively amazing
Because everything was entertaining
Birds sang sweetly in shrubs like Hellen
On blossoms lots of bees sought pollen
Bumblebees have been busy like a hussy
Feeling how the day has been shambolic
Because on the path, I heard a heavy truck
That was rolling on the street slowly
Back to the hive, I was very exhausted
In the way that I was unmotivated
Today has been restless and now
Miserable I feel for a quiet morrow
That fetches a sweet day full of hurdles
Thus, we will be cagily flying like turtles
That have no return hope but always dare
And that also I take up is neither truly fair
Life’s honeyed but it’s difficult full at lair
We bear its cynicism to alteration pronto
Sweetness to arise soon we dream on Pluto
Making the itches of bees turn into softness
Poem by Mugisho N Theophile
Being used…feeling helpless.
Being fake …feeling inadequate.
Being fat…feeling unmotivated.
Feeling letdown… being misunderstood.
Being taunted…feeling angry.
Being anorexic… feeling worthless.
Being gay…feeling emotions.
Feeling useless…being ignored.
Being alone…feeling neglected.
Being laughed at… feeling frustrated.
Being quiet…feeling small.
Feeling useless… being untrusted.
Being ugly…feeling separate.
Being abused…feeling challenged.
Being addicted…feeling worthless.
Feeling confused…being cold.
Being coloured…feeling different.
Being empty…feeling dejected.
Being unemotional…feeling hollow.
Feeling unfulfilled… being common.
Being sick…feeling magnified.
Being hungry….feeling urgent.
if we mixed
an unmotivated being with a motivated being,
the inspired soul with an uninspired soul,
the whole city would burn
I am useless, that I am,
However hard I try
I can fake a sense of worth
Maybe, but I cannot lie.
At heart, there isn't anything
Little pathetic me can do
Other than dash my dreams
Into shards of two.
I am irresponsible
Untamed and unmotivated.
I am merely a crumb to
The world that can't be sated.
I can never use my voice
When it really matters
For when I hear me speak
The weak, whiny voice falters.
I have trouble placing trust
In the people around me
And apparently I can never
Be what I want to be.
My dreams, it seems, are all
Far too idealistic
I am a blemish, an imperfection
A dumb, suicidal freak.
I am unloved, I am unwanted
Weak in any distress.
I wish I could just end it
So I wouldn't feel so hopeless.
Love is like a seesaw, both sides can go up or down.
It's a matter of give and take but hope it's about giving
A lot more than you ever take with respect
It takes two to tango you both have to want to work on
Through listening patience and communication, seeing things from their perspective on their side and asking them how it feels for them and if you can Make amends forgive and let go
Having kids and finding the time when you work
Can build hurdles you are just too tired or unmotivated to jump
Like so many countless couples have to contend with today
With just too many complications and other commitments, your head is in a spin
And rows over matters can build the pressure till we blow our tops
it's never easy and it is something that we may not both agree on and it's our right to have a different point of view
If it really matters then it may be better if you can talk it through
Plans don't always turn out like you, expected them to do
No one knows what tomorrow may bring
And you have to rationalize your priorities whatever is more important to you.
When intellect, intelligence, genuis and smart; MEET dumbness, stupidity, ignorance, to start.
Conception takes place,
the pro-creation they make,
something,
someone,
simply plain.
When knowledge, talent, gifted, and skill; MEET unmotivated, devasted, degradated, unwilled.
Belief takes place,
the inception they make,
nothing,
no one,
CAN.
BE.
EVERYTHING.
Invested, unrested, the minutes appear shorter everyday
Infected, unprotected not liking the games they play
Rated, unmotivated everyone seems to know their part
Hated, unrelated figured it all out from the start
Addicted, unlisted in the book of their super-secret code
Inflicted, unpredicted in the amount of everything we're all owed
Elected, unconnected to whom in which he serves
Selected, unrespected without backbone or nerve

We were told he was a go-getter
His aunt had bragged on him
He was a cutie, those brown eyes
He had arms to die for
They could have wrapped a mummy
We had believed the rumors
Anyway, I had, sad he would show us up
In fact, he was a bit of a sloth,
Lazy and unmotivated
Thus, we became fast friends
