Politics of Health-W

On issues like Gay marriage,
Medical marijuana or assisted suicide,
Will of the people goes out the window.
They argue, one can act normally when high
Pot-smoking makes you unmotivated, lie!
They have their own axes to grind.

We come across another type of people who argue
There are better medications than Marijuana
Less damaging health to relieve pain
Much better treatment for pain
Marijuana is not a drug
But an herb and a flower
God put it here to grow
No right to say God is wrong
They have their own breads to butter.

Yet another majority of people who brab
Roll it. Light it.
Inhale it. Hold it.
They have their own amusements to rejoice.

... Dr, & some of us are eager to tease God out of the abode of retirement ... most arguments about Marijuana, per se, end exactly recklessly as the pill itself ... & a good sense does not require an over-dosage of spirituality ... I think, this piece is a good write on the edges of an endless conjecture ... Keep fit! Canny

interesting but you are assuming that god exists and not everybody would agree with you. Marijuana simply exists- its not here for a reason!

Hey, I love the message in your poem, Dr. Ram. I have no access to pot, but it would surely help my ulcerative colitis. The last verse is a great kicker! Wishing you success in Michael's contest and thanks for my placement in your contest. Love, Carolyn

If a behavior causes harm to another or oneself, it is not of God and things that are of God can be misused. Ex. Marijuana, wine, coffee, the atom, life, marriage etc... A thought provoking write. Thanks for sharing and thank you for your kind comments on my latest. Caroline.

I agree that it could not be good for one's health because a hot substance is pulled into the lung..I had a friend that died recently from cancer and the dr gave him a pill of a chemical found in marjuana for his appetite..I don't know if it helped for when he died he probably weighed less than when he was nineteen..Sara

Just as I started to write this comment a picture came to mind of the country road in Wichita, Ks they called THUNDER ROAD. This was back in bootlegging days. I guess they go from one high to another. Very well written, Ram. Keep up the good work. God Bless, Cile
