Best Unite Poems
For Steve with Love
your feel
still comes
to me
when I
recall
our love
filled years
our shared
passion
goes on
inside
my heart
though gone
are tears
decades
went by
while I
cried ‘why
did you
so choose
to die’
I know
in time
we will
unite
where love
feels no
good-bye
Verse 1
I’ve had this dream now for a while,
But the real world’s where I choose to stay,
The time is now for standing up,
To reach out for that brighter day.
Chorus
Unite to lend a hand to those who are in need,
Unite against them, whose souls are consumed by greed,
Unite and lend a hand, and we can change the world,
We’re the ones we’ve been waiting for.
Verse 2
Walking past two souls holding hands,
I see that it’s true love conquers all,
A dreamland where we all sing and dance,
And hands to catch us should we fall.
(Chorus)
Bridge
United, it’s in our hands,
United, it’s how we stand,
United, across all lands.
Empathy, we understand,
Together, it’s how we stand,
Unite with one voice, One Hand.
In ages past we sent letters to Freedom
With tattered inks on our dirty page,
The letters returned with beaming smiles,
Raising up flowers through our dried stem.
Back then, we warred against Principalities,
Now we war against ourselves on same shelve;
Siblings against siblings in African-made rings,
Drinking blood from the burnt through our local fire.
Look, we now have pirated Blacks within our walls,
Scary to our children, marrying our wives.
We throw stones on each other's doors,
Pointing black fingers to a black skin.
Let's rise on our feet not for a feast,
Let's weave colors to make our rainbow,
Let's beat not drums made from human skin,
Let's rise and display our heights.
Let the lamp of Love dance upon the pyramids of Egypt,
Revealing Mountain Kilimanjaro in Tanzania,
Through the rock of Olumo in Nigeria,
Warming the greenness of South Africa's Canyon.
.
Africa unite!
Whats happening to the world.
My brothers & sisters what happened to the spirit of ubuntu ( humanity)
What happened to " umntu ngumntu ngabantu" (A person is a person through other people)
I'm sure this is not what my father Nelson krolihlahla Mandela & my uncle Martin Luther King fought for
This is not what my grandparents fought for.
What happened to the saying it takes a nation to raise a child.
Do u like destroying the future generation, abusing our mothers & sisters.
Come on maAfrica Amahle (beautiful Africa) go back to your roots
From the “jungles” of Soweto
To the “lakes” of Kalahari
Come!
Let us adopt grey children
Call them Mogadishu or Benghazi.
Donate your second hand underwear
To the west
Stand up! Let’s go
Attack undemocratic countries
Beyond the Mediterranean
Let us go monitor
Their elections and
Determine who wins or just
Declare rebels the rightful
Leaders of a country.
Let us go buy some humans
From across the Atlantic,
Chain them and make them
Work on our plantations.
If not, let’s go buy land in the isles
Start up banks in that land
And make the Afro world currency
Let us hold
Charity walks for sick
Hollywood stars
Along the streets of New York
Also rear goats as Pets
And hold tomato fights at Buckingham palace.
Gamers unite
My hood hangs low, but my vision is enhanced
From the darkness of the shadows, my silent sword dance.
The scrolls of time, echo ancestors quest
But over fallen Templar, is when the guild will rest.
Now a car a chase, the authorities closing fast
The sports car of your dreams, give the nitro a blast.
Rolled her fourteen times, lost both wheels of the back
Just click the reset button, now your back on track.
A cyborg from the future, lasers equipped to boost
Jump a thousand feet, or send the aliens home to roost.
Must rush to save the planet, seconds almost out
But you can try again, no need to scream or shout.
These powerful machines, imaginations walk away
Can put you through your paces, the pros don't like to play.
Thrust into arena battle, no advantage there to take
But with a little practice, your come back will be great.
I dedicate my words, to the artist’s who generate
These awesome creations, the worlds, the time , the place.
No matter what they make, or how they warp the time
I could never stop trying, until victory is mine.
TWO SOULS UNITE
A dove plummets from the sky and dies
Life goes on
Human forms pass by on the street
finding emptiness along the alley
taking that which can be got
Only to find it wasn't what was needed
Life goes on
The sun comes up over the horizon
filling all with hope
only to go down
Bringing the darkness
Lurking in the shadows, one finds existence
The existence to be alone
until the shadows reveal
another form of life
Now the two existences join
and become a force
the force gives love and hope
to the rest of the world
pushing out the evil
that once ruled
The moon and stars appear
giving new light
To what seemed hopeless
Why do you ask, has this happened?
Because of the love of two people
Burning brightly in the Universe.
Catholics and Protestants unite
it's time to join the fight
as we march on toward that light !
It's our job to question the mob ,
as we march on toward that light !
They think it's a game
to dish us the same,
it's our job to question the mob,
as we march on toward that light !

MOTHER AND SON RE-UNITE
I was phoned by an old friend Blessing,
Who told me that her one and only son,
Who was once reported missing,
Has been found after a decade lying in sweltering sun.
In his pre school years or somewhere there about,
She left him in care of elderly nurse in white,
In the trust she did not doubt,
On returning, the nurse and the boy were all out of sight!
The news that the hospital did not employ that nurse,
Send in my friend’s heart, a terrible fright!
When the nurse and the boy’s descriptions were finally broadcast,
Brought in the inside of the nurse, the worse!
As the law net finally closed, the nurse deserted him in broad day light,
Her heart beating very fast, she outran the police in the ever-whirling dust!
When Love And Dark Unite, A Shiny Tangled Web Catches Prey
There were hidden tentacles of hate in her heart
That her coils had not consumed me, I gave thanks
My soul nearly erupted, my mind suddenly went blank
Her touch was exciting, but frightening from the start.
She would serve me a great gulp of her poisonous brew
My hunger and thirst exploded, but I begged for more
There, in dark tides, my limp body washed ashore,
I was another roasted carcass for her blackened stew.
Waves washed beads of sand over me, around and about
I woke to see a smiling sky, laughing at my sad demise
I was but a damn fool, allowing her to have me as her prize
She kissed with thorny lips, smelled me with a bearded snout.
I lay waiting for dawn to tell me it was but a bad dream
Its gleaming rays would invade my brain and make it clear
My heart and soul were enslaved. I wallowed in woeful fear
She always dragged me in, convincing me we were a team.
I sensed night coming forth and dreaded the moon beams
This time her thorns pierced my lips, blinding me with lust
The temptation was too riveting. My body she had trussed
Her fingers soothed then strangled 'til I heard my own screams
Another bitter potion she'd concocted and lured me to drink
My breath came in short gasps as she searched my glazed eyes
Night hawks called, so I thought, but the trills were my own cries
I prayed to wake, but I swam in her dark waters, blacker than ink
Disgusted with my weakness. What kind of man had I become?
Tortured for want of the one who held hate within her heart
These thoughts meandered through my mind, tearing me apart
I must be strong to turn away and never more to her succumb
Another sunrise found me, my back flayed upon the beach
Rays of dawn warmed me before a salty wave slapped my face
I could not move, or would not move. In shame I was a disgrace
I walked into the ocean. In death I'd be out of her tentacled reach.

Robert,
thank you for asking me to reach into the dark a bit for this one.
I'm always honored to mingle my words with yours.
Have been following CNN avidly,
Learnt a great deal about American politics
Your Ex -President, an arrogant man to his core,
As opposed to a dedicated, humble, proud,
Soul searching man, President Joseph
Robinette Biden Jr. a Vice President before,
During President Obama’s Administration.
He has gone through so much grief,
Wife, daughter and son, their lives so brief.
He understands compassion
It has become his passion,
To unite his country as one, no racism
All for one and one for all, only patriotism
His promise to Black lives matter
Was an easy decision,
His Cabinet, an integration
Of every color creed and nation.
An elegant First Lady and wife Dr Jill Biden,
Will always be by The President,s side
For ever, and ever, with pride,
And with Vice President Kamala Harris
At his right hand,
How purposeful, never boring,
Or disturbing,
His Administration will be,
The world looks forward to this with glee!
We have a wonderful President too,
Have much respect for his handling
Of the Pandemic, President Cyril Ramaphosa,
A refined, gentle man who also
Rules his Rainbow Nation, with Pride.
Hope President Biden comes to South Africa
Soon, I would love them to meet,
That would really neat,
For our Country has magic scenery
And traditions to behold,
For the brave, free, mighty and bold!
There once was a man named Ike
Who smoked porks to everyone’s like
They were the best in town
Creating orders abound
Till all pigs decided to strike
Oh what price we paid
to secure freedom, we prayed
stars, stripes, have we weighed
Within my breast a promise of earth splendor
Jovial sapphire lake sheer blackness cliffs
Kempt, sights amid whispers Spirit renders
Lithe shadows of spike pines manifest quiffs
Meek pink aurora waning like a thief
Neighboring Big Dippers pouring , springs scars
Operatic skies speckled stars relief
Picturesque Moon rises as well as Mars
Quelled waft and sounds blows through the hours of night
Reflective flow of spring beside banks ends
Sacred of God's earth splendor faintly light
Thrilling sublime sights and whispers descends
Unhurried choices amongst no worries
Venturesome challenges though tangled miles
Whimsical splendor rich untold journeys
Xanthous uniform through seasonal smiles

When we kiss
the heavens open...
my rain pours
and our longing embrace
lifts the flood gates
of my heart...
love flows free
each time our bodies unite
in the physical
our souls entwine...
our love
drifting to a better place
each and every time...
