Best Unbind Poems

Cardinal

The years have stolen details from my mind.
Your face, once clear, has faded like a print
Within an album ready to unbind
And plunder from this sadness any hint

Of thinning strands and laughing lines around
The sweetest smile and brightest silver eyes.
I walk across the white, half-frozen ground.
As morning wanes, the wind begins to rise.

The breeze relieves my sorrow like a sigh,
And, suddenly, as if by sacred cue -
A flash of red against the cobalt sky.
A cardinal of brilliant crimson hue!

And as the pangs of grief and joy collide,
I feel your spirit walking by my side.

Premium Member Divine Meditation

The Light grows dim
My Pupils dilate
Now Falling into a Meditative state

The earth consumes my sinking roots
As I ground myself
reality dilutes

Being present in this moment
All Equal and free
Slipping away now from life’s debris

Noticing moments between my thoughts
A silent awareness

Visions distort

Connection grows strong
to the spiritual world
We meet in the middle
The heavens unfurled

Deeper still into the stars
Past Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars

in my private bubble I’m protected
Negativity gently deflected

Just be in this moment
Silence the mind
Let universal love unbind

In dream like state
Beyond the veil
I feel their energy
They will prevail

The scent of a loved one
passed on long ago
A meeting of souls
their auras aglow

There’s no need for words
The eyes say it all
On their frequency now
I hear their call

I am part of the cosmos
I am wind
I am rain
I’m translucent ocean
Devoid of all pain

I ride the waves slowly back to the shore
Notice the ticking of the clock Once more
Becoming aware now
Back into the room
Content that I’ll return there soon

This is my space
It costs nothing but time
To visit this sacred realm
So divine

Premium Member Disassociating Dissonance

Lost -
Through an Eagle's eye
Over Fields of plenty
Where rivers and creeks
Never run dry
But I can't feel it

Mountains rising up
Touching the pink, blue,
And rustic orange skies.
I just don't know why
… I just can't feel it

I am a lost page within the novel
No one knows my inner battles
Entering another day
Of constant trials and prattles

Lost –
Through the ears
Of a Great Horned Owl
Where life's creation falls silent
Scurrying about
But I can't feel it

Forests of trees where an
Acappella choir resounds
Magically starting the day
Reverberating all around.
I just can't feel it

And the sea sprites dance
To a rhythm of time
Reaching out to my soul
Touching my heart
Seeking to free and unbind…
I cry, for I can't feel it
No, I just can't feel it

For morning becomes noon
Noon becomes day
For everything has its place
With a time to work
And a time to play
I give up, for I can't feel it
I will never feel it

I look to the four corners
Seeking answers,
But the wind is motionless
And the world, unfeeling

For such are the plans
    I never made
          So I turn the page….

As I Paddled the River Nile

As I paddled the river Nile
I met a monstrous crocodile.
She smiled at me enticingly.
I smiled deferentially.
Through large white teeth to me she said,
"I want you in my river bed."

"We are not acquainted enough
for such intimate, tasteless stuff,"
I cried. A hippopotamus
opined, "Hey, we're amphibious.
We're inclined to romp through marshes;
come, let's crush some reedy rushes."

I paddled hard away. The Nile
now swirled by rapidly awhile
to the sea. There where its two brinks
grow apart it flows past a sphinx
who lies prone and thinks endlessly
deep thoughts about eternity.

For eons and eons his mind
thought thoughts about how to unbind
gravity from mentality
throughout universality,
that we might freely float;
no more need to paddle my boat.

Unfortunately, he has no gumption
to follow his least assumption;
but we do chat on fluently
of, to wit, stuff way beyond me
like hieroglyphic-ally writ
papyri. When he will not quit

I wander alone to a tomb
where lies Cleopatra, of whom
each schoolgirl knows; how her last gasp
came as she clasped to breast her asp.
Grasp that story's significance
twixt geometry class and dance.

Whilst she patronymic-ally
reigned, a most royal Ptolemy;
she told Marc, "My new last 'nym' now'll
be 'Anthony'." This, post her roll
out, quite nude, from Julius' rug.
His offer of sex met her mere shrug.

I stood amid a pyramid
or three and pondered where they hid,
these pharaohs, all their treasury.
Was power or mere pleasury
their true architectural plan?
To ever tell, no pharaoh can.

These writs I write as my boat drifts
midst original hieroglyphs
through the Mediterranean.
I don't need a librarian
to see, no sociology
compares to Egyptology.

Premium Member Expedition

Beyond ego's orbit, we set our sights,
On an expedition where compassion ignites.
Away from selfish dreams, we'll choose to see,
The world's shared sorrows, our true destiny.

In this cosmic voyage, we'll leave behind,
The narrow confines of a selfish mind.
To remember the pain, the world's cries,
And reach for the stars with empathetic eyes.

For in the vast expanse of space so wide,
We'll find a perspective, hearts open wide.
To mend the world's wounds, we'll find our way,
On an expedition that cares, come what may.

An expedition to lands burdened by strife,
Where hunger persists and claims innocent life.
In the quest for solutions, we'll firmly stand,
To nurture education across each land.

Through empathy's lens, we'll bridge the divide,
In the face of despair, we won't step aside.
War's harsh grip, we aim to unbind,
A mission of love to heal humankind.

With hearts full of hope, we'll dare to heed,
The change these poor countries so desperately need.
An expedition for a brighter tomorrow we'll strive,
For a world where all souls can truly thrive.

Premium Member Butterfly

Flutter by, butterfly, sailing on the breeze,
you can see eternity, as you float above the trees

Butterfly, high above, as the zephyr sings,
how I love the flicker of your gossamer silk wings

Captured in the cage of my cocoon - not the life I had planned,
tied by ropes of choices I have made, who will unbind my hand?

Floating by, butterfly, on a sky blue sea,
catch the wind with wingéd sails that set your spirit free

Butterfly, rising high, far beyond my reach.
Is the span between our souls one I could ever breach?

Captured in the prison of this life - trapped forever it seems,
will I ever be the butterfly soaring high in my dreams?

Flutter by, butterfly, floating on the breeze,
do you see my liberty, can you set my soul at ease?

Just as I bid goodbye to this lonely land,
You turn unexpectedly and alight upon my hand,
Butterfly.

Premium Member Embers in the Wind, Threads for Tomorrow

Embers in the Wind and Threads
for Tomorrow.
In the rising fog of the New Year let burdens
take flight.
As failures lift like morning dew under the sun's
gentle touch.
Let them drift away carried by dreams dissolving
into the horizon.

Unbind societal shackles like chains rusted by time's
unforgiving passage.
Let freedom persist a song echoing
through the dawn.

Fly away barriers that sundered
our hearts and
Vanish into the night's celestial jete.
For in our togetherness
our strength restarts.
Like a melody each note harmonizing
with the next
Ashes of isolation where unity
finds its way.
We are a mosaic of dreams each piece interwoven
of unity's play.

Welcome joyous days with
wisdom’s spark.
Spin tales in a patchwork of
blended delight.
Let harmony imprint minds and souls.
Like an ember’s warmth on
a cold winter’s night.
Carry agape love a beacon through
the dark.

Let this year transcend mere time's
vibrant flow
A crown adorned with empathy's
multicolored light.
Societal, psychological, philosophical
in the know.
Unified we thrive, our unity ignites.
Threads of tomorrow woven in today's
greatest show.

Ultimately, each voice a tremor
in the wind can join the
rising choral tide.
Each note a battle fought
and won where shadows once did hide.
No longer solo in the dark but harmony
in vibrant throng
We rise a symphony of souls where
failures turn to song and singing:

May the Lord bless us with
His grace
And guide us through
each day.
May we seek His eternal
loving face
And follow His peaceful
righteous way.

May we find strength in
His word.
And comfort in
His soft embrace.
May our hearts be filled with
His love.
And our souls with
His unconditional grace.

May we walk in
His radiant light.
Shining His boundless
love for all.
Guided by grace our
hands and feet.
Answering His utmost highest and
loving call.

Lips - Love Series 2

[1. Quest]
I plead to you, Muse, here, unbind my pen
That verse may praise her, my Captivator,
Greatest Treasure, Morning’s Brightest Angel.
Why, my quill, are you so still, reluctant
To laud she who is so precious? Perhaps
The language of our hearts transcends mere words;
Lips should praise as lips do kiss each other.
So, to that end I raise my praise to you.
Your lips are beautiful because they are
The gateway to your heart. How else will we
Know your compassionate encouragement?
Lest the message pass them, intent is all
There is. But once declared, a healing
Grace grows great within each life you will touch!

[2. Discovery]
My Dear, you exemplify perfectly,
How one lives out the love they have within.
In fact, this is what I notic’d about
You from the first. Every word was like
A coming alongside, a verbal hug,
Incentive you offered each to reach
Within and trust their inner voice. My Love,
Many give thanks today that you came by.
So, now I understand how my heart came
To love you before my mind discover’d
The subterfuge that had been going on.
So when our arms, entwined, and faces
We draw near, our lips in passion pursed,
Your grace is also imparted to me.

Unbind Me

Untie the binds that bind you
Set yourself a flee
Release the mental anguish
Which you’ve chosen to share with me

Put your faith and trust anew
Make it selfless and continually
For the pain and misery will leave you
And be replaced with endless love, faithfully

Your doubts are as clear, as a bright sunny day
Your wisdom has taught you much
Yet you still feel discerned to give it all away
Take head to all the warnings and what they have to say

Which path shall you take my friend?
And will you relinquish this pretentious lust?
For the time has come for certain
To give in to this taboo called trust

Smokescreen

Have you heard who’s coming to town?
Why, she’s only the very best actress in around!
She can make you angry, make you cry
She can make you laugh so hard you’ll wonder if you’re high
Always graceful and always sweet
The kind of girl anyone would want to meet
But when the curtain closes at the end of the day
When she removes her mask, and puts it away
She’s just another faceless girl
Empty and alone in an overrated world
But the show must go on, now where’s our star?
She’s bound and gagged in the trunk of her car!
Someone go get her, she’s terribly late
We mustn’t make these darling fans wait
Unbind her hands, but don’t cut the rope
It’s on to the stage and on with the show
Step into the dress and slip on the gloves
There’s the perfect girl we all know and love!
She takes center stage, Mom must be proud
An encore performance dazzles the crowd
And that’s when the curtain falls
She hangs her mask up on the wall
She opens her trunk, so cozy and safe
Slips into her bindings and takes her place
She sighs as she watches the trunk lid close
Hoping that would be her final show.

One Last Tear

Let me cry one last tear,
may the last roll down my cheek.
It holds the key to unbind my wings
and make me free within.

Let me cry one last tear,
may the last fall down my trembling chin -
the last of all bad memories, tremble upon my chin,
and finally, dissolve to the ground.

Let me cry one last tear,
may it wash down all heartless feelings -
then, with my wings unbound, I shall fly away,
In a new life, where I shall stand strong for my side.

Colorful

Separate the tangled tresses of black
Into the colored strands of sheer rainbows,
Release magic of marigold held back,
Mystery of amber lilac in rose.

Let sapphire soar again, where dreams wander,
Free soft amaranth in a bashful blush
Deliver cardinal’s song then ponder
Orange pizazz, crimson inferno’s rush.

Unbind the razzmatazz in raucous red
Unwind evergreen in shamrock dances
Untie amethyst thistles from tight threads
Loosen silk sable’s haunting hues of romance.

Liberate hidden checkmates of darkness
In bursting jubilees, banning starkness.

The Sentry

Posed such, in its formidable array
would guess that all protection in refer
not deem my soul respectively, relay
but from some archway's character of serve!

That guard of my esteem, not turning gray
is from some inner peace, not just of nerve
the loyalty I've bridged by my own stay
now chances not its entry as conserve.

For naught the times, nor beckoning's concur
that shoulder decorated stood its ground,
some rite of passage, measures not impure
or guesses at my fancy, or my frowned!

How steady in some answer of reserve
would guarantee its effort, so unbound,
that resolution's comfort not deserve
or its entailment daily ne'er impound!

Is freedom such an answer, I not need
when life holds such encumbrance up her sleeve,
prescribe me not, in entities concede
but brave begot ~ a childhood of bereave!

The Sentry, grasp the plot ~ remit, receive
to bear it all, a blossom of Faith's core
that from behind, attacks are so conceive
the narrowing's remind, an open door!

The harrowing of purging not refined
a net of undeniable content,
the message straight from cowardly assign
and from its framework, instigates resent!

That Hell be guarded once, and so confined
the nature of the whore that so compels,
is tempting of man's nature, so inclined
and reconciles its effort, "all is well!"

And so it be, prerogative regress
is functioned only lightly to incline
to rob my thought, my enemies redress
and matter less, to only spend my time!

Forfeits agenda, reconciles, climbs
that merit of dissension leaves encore,
all but that host's dimension steeps unbind
revolving with ascension ~ perish more ~

And tumbles its direction ~ out of line!

To be continued ~ The Sentry Rhymes ~ Dangerous times.

Note ~ Guard duty is one of the most sensitive, and loyal of commitments.
Such as that of a noble entity, a queen, an endangered person, or even
a family, spouse, children. Today our protection needs to be more loving,
more personal & caring, not back turning, and avoiding. Our own National
Guard need to be here, at home, on board, with their reason intact, and not
forged from some idealistic, protectionist bourgeois ~ needing to be
everywhere else!

Soupernaut

Thirsting to touch the Spirit of Ages
Rediscover that which I did misplace
A sparrow that fell out of time and space
This gilded door, travelers courageous

Glorious songs, birds escaping cages
How strange to meet your mind and not your face
Deep, yet anonymous touch of this “place”
Open, free hearts pour out on these pages

Welcoming home this orphan of my mind
Setting free the songbird from key and lock
Lava released from under miles of rock
Tight soul knots within begin to unwind
Old jail, black chains, they finally unbind
No longer to drink the spirit’s hemlock

4/8/16

Set down the rocks that have burdened me so
See them transmuting as if by magic
Into verse sublime, from burden tragic
This purgation, alchemy, afterglow

On warm, lofting currents, mingling souls know
Of realms uncharted from depths pelagic
Vibrant celestial breeze, energetic
Key to the gilded door, your hearts bestow

Awaken to the world of light, colors
To touch the transcendent truth beyond time
Rhythm of being, in image and rhyme
Once, heart’s eyes had been buried in squalor
Now kaleidoscopic multicolor
To giddy, broad vistas, this soul’s new climb
