Sculpted emerald hewn from flora,
  Shapes of wolf and killer bear,
Silent stalkers cast an aura,
  Frozen, snow-flecked, stand and stare.
Visual periphery, cornered eye,
  Did it shift a fraction then?
Glimpsed a world somewhat awry,
  Swear it's closer, look again.
