In This Time Of Looming Dark, Look To The True Light

World is dark and racing fast into hell
grab a coin, toss it in a wishing well
have some faith that our Father sees and hears
sad voices crying out in deeper fear
and will always with Love do what is right
be it light of day or darkest of night.

Hold fast, precious Life is so very sweet.
Eternal mercy comes from Heaven's seat.

World now seems to spin so out of control
now fear seeks room within our weeping souls
future is uncertain and outlook grim
yet one must have faith in Light and in Him
for purest Love that gives and never fails
even if calm has now gone off the rails.

Hold fast, precious Life is so very sweet.
Eternal mercy comes from Heaven's seat.

World has in the past looming dark beheld
mankind has too oft catastrophe spelled
yet survived to go on to live and strive
so thank God we are here and still alive
living, breathing and asking all the more
for divine hands to save us, we implore.

Hold fast, precious Life is so very sweet.
Eternal mercy comes from Heaven's seat.

Rhyme, ( When Faith And Hope Are The Keys To Sanity )

Note:
Friends, the refrain in this new poem came to me while
I was writing the start of a new poem for my,
"Lesser Known Poets Series. I immediately wrote it down
and stopped writing the new poem for the Series.
I decided to write this poem to address the uncertainty
and immense fear that is so very prevalent in our world.
And give the message that as grim as it may seem now,
our loving Father will not abandon us! Have faith and know
no power in this universe supersedes that of Father, Son
and Holy Spirit, the Trinity.
May God bless and comfort you, one and all..

The True Love of a Man

When I was just a little girl, I dreamed I’d meet a knight.
He’d proudly wear his shining armor, and guard me day and night.
I kept on dreaming half my life and searched as I grew.
Until I found my knight one day, I found my knight in you!
Before our paths crossed that day, my struggles had been great.
But when I laid my eyes upon you, I thought it must be fate.
You gently got to know me and embraced me as a friend.
And as our friendship grew in time, we knew it wouldn’t end.
As our lives were set in motion, we climbed mountains and sailed seas.
And as we’ve shared our lives together, we’ve blended with such ease.
Our friendship grew as years passed by into such an enduring love.
This thing we have together now was blessed from God above!
I know we both have said it. We feel it in our souls.
We’ve devoted our lives to each other, and together we’ll grow old.
The love we share is very rare, and should be held with high esteem.
For some may only find this kind, only in their dreams.
This is what God planned for us, to live here on this land.
To be the best we both can be, walking through it hand in hand.
Even when our roads seem rough, we must have a faith that lasts.
We’ll smile as we share many today’s, and reflect gladly on our past.
I hope I’ve touched your life my love, as much as you’ve touched mine.
For this is the love I’ve always dreamed of, a love both gentle and kind.
I believe we meet our “soul mate” only once in our lives.
This blessing from God has come to us, I’m proud to be your wife.
With all this said my poem will end.
A poem for my love, who is also my friend!
I want to thank you with all that I am,
For showing me Darling, the true love of a man!

With all my love, Michelle

Premium Member The True Meaning of Life

In the overall scheme of things

What matters most in life

It's the love of another human being

The total commitment between two hearts

That indescribable connection

When you recognize that someone is oh so very special

Of all the people we rub elbows with

During our too short a time on earth

One who stands out head and shoulders above the rest

One to share our most intimate dreams with

Almost as if we two are one

When we meet that person

The fire between the two of us rages

The signs are unmistakable

They totally consumes us

To the point where nothing else seems important

Only the deep love of another soul

To know this love is to know the true meaning of life

If you need a hug
For you here's mine
A good friend indeed
Our friendship is fine

Hope you can really see
The true friend in me
‘Cause all I do
Is to think of you

You can depend on me
Thank you for being there
So many times for me
And showing that you care

I'm here if you need a friend
My love for you has no end!

The True Magic of the Evening

The true magic of the evening

A soft breeze rustles through
pine needles swishing
amidst fireflies at play on a warm
enchanting April night

I am a bit skeptical
as you take my hand,
satin fingers intertwined,
leading me to a secluded spot

We sit in quiet anticipation
as a bright full moon keeps watch
from its cosmic perch,
illuminating our magical evening

“It is almost time” you say as
the big dipper comes into view,
directing our focus to the grove
behind the chinaberry shrubs

We can hear them giggling
as tiny feet run atop fallen leaves
creating little crackles echoing
beyond the illumined forest canopy

When suddenly crickets and cicadas
perform a mesmerizing melody
wafting from tree to tree
and you point eagerly to the opening

As twelve little fairies appear, dancing in a circle,
singing along with the nighttime tune
Iridescent wings shimmer and flutter
as do our hearts as we watch

It only lasts for a few moments
and then they are gone,
when you excitedly lean over and kiss me,
then whispering you say,

“See, I told you they were real”
I couldn’t help but smile seeing the look on your face,
your smile glowing brighter than anything in the sky
as I fell in love with you all over again

Proving to me once more,
regardless of anything I could have possibly seen,
anywhere on this night we could have gone,
the true magic of my evening . . . will always be you

Good night Soupers
Have a great Easter weekend
I will see you again on Monday

_____________________________________________________________

In a world where illusions often deceive,
Genuine love springs as a jewel to retrieve.
A tale implicit, a sumptuous symphony divine,
Where souls entwine, true love will shine.

Can passion be a fleeting amour, a brief aura?
Or does it grasp a deeper, sapient aurora?
In a realm where hearts oft maunder astray,
Echt love exhibits its zeal and splendor in this way.

Akin to ghosts, love is beset but scarcely seen.
Real passion hits hastily in a radiant, pulsing scene.
It is not a slight propensity, a surreptitious flame,
But an amorist bond that thwarts time is not tame.

True love shines akin to a beacon over princely.
A flame that fires forever, flickering fiercely
Loving someone means wanting their happiness.
A love that inspires the heart leaves just sappiness.

Comely happiness is the nectar, and love is the bee.
It resonates in-depth, not missing a beat of glee.
It harmonizes souls, inducing a blissful tune.
Love that susurrous softly, akin to a palest moon.

When a person implies a lot, distance is so little.
A love that heals all wounds and saves the brittle
True love is a lexicon, spoken without a sound.
A cynosure nexus so esoteric, it can't be drowned.

It is the exegesis of life, the reason we exist,
A love that abides through every swirl and twist
Unwavering flame, two souls sigh, tie untying!
True love is the essence, impetus, and freeing.

The one who loves you spells your name uniquely.
Your name is protected in their mouth so deeply.
For in its embrace, we decry our true selves,
A love that transcends is a love that compels.

A level of optimism is crucial for the birth of love.
Your devotion is not to me but to the stars above.
A tale unavowed, a symphony divine,
Where souls intertwine, true love will shine.

Premium Member The True Wonder Bread

Funny the things that stick with you
like gum beneath the table
as the years go by.
My brains goes as far back as three solar circuits;
big bro put the Wonder bread in the microwave
(package and all) --- sparks went a'flying.
And poor Mother, what would she say,
when the whole house burnt away?
(corner time for sure)

And back then, turning the big "one oh"
was a big deal --- it's all the kids talked about.
Mother would make me PB&Js
(crust ON --- she weren't no fool)
And that little pat on the head used to make me giddy:
a reward for my maturity,
eating all the greens --- every bit.

But by thirteen I was quite done with it.
I'll make my own lunch, thank you very much
(sure you know that's a lie,
teens are notorious for their laziness)
But putting Dijon and turkey
between two slices of Dave's Killer Good Seed,
you think you got it made
with all of life figured out.

And speaking of "seed" ... what the hell?
Shouldn't I have my own runts by now,
running baby cheetah-like between my legs,
with a wifie to burn the toast on my way to work
(or is that just stereotypical nonsense?)

Perhaps by the time I'm thirty
being a spiritual loner like Paul won't be so bad;
spreading the good news when I can,
but I lack the humility:
a wheat by words,
a tare by actions.

And maybe I won't make it to my winter years.
But if that happens I won't waste one slice of forever
moping about time lost.
Rather I'll indulge in the True Wonder Bread
with the Man Upstairs -
without the fluff - but add the glow
and guaranteed to last eternity.

Literally.

The True Alpha Male

The True Alpha Male

The True Alpha Male is the man that is masculine, but not toxic.
The man whose behavior proceeds from a sense of propriety, confidence, and a high sense of self-worth;
who maintains a level head in times of emergency, and a measured response in conflict;
who does not intentionally seek to make the low value male conscious of his lower value tendencies, nor the beta male of their passivity;
who becomes humbled if he has to humble another;
who does not crumble when tasked to lead, or appear overly boastful of his possessions or achievements;
a man who speaks directly, but always from the heart;
whose word is his bond;
who recognizes where he lacks, and seeks knowledge to improve;
who faces his fears, and strives to be a better version of himself daily;
who lives life in steadfast pursuit of his goals, while compelling others to do the same; and who can find comfort in any social setting, a man with whom confidence is sacred and value high.

The True King

The small things I ask of you to do
May seem simple in many ways
Yet you always fail to do them
And from these simple tasks turn away

To you, I am the true example
With all which I do and say
Yet shortly after you hear my words
The power of flesh turns you away

Oh you, my child of little strength
I understand the burdens your life does bear
But come with me just taking small steps
And when you need me I will be near

Embrace the word your heart hears from me
Knowing that its life is very real and true
And pick up your cross and follow me
Believing I will always surely walk with you

Do not let the flesh pull you away from me
From the pure things that you should do
Remember to always live the way I did
And a new life will soon embrace you

My living word will surely empower you
To daily overcome this worlds adversity
So when those of flesh demands answers
You will tell them you serve the true King.

Premium Member The True Meaning of Achieving

The way I see it, everyone is either an achiever or they’re not. There's no spectrum at all to this. Every single person in the world has different degrees, levels, and desires of what they want to achieve in the world and in their life. Some people want to achieve few things, some people want to achieve many things. Some people want to achieve small for the sake of simplicity in life, some people want to achieve high for the sake of success in life. Also, the true form of success in life is happiness. Moreover, nobody can always get what they want. Everybody is too different to the point that forming a general guideline as to what is worth and not worth achieving in life is completely and utterly impossible.

Premium Member The True Story of Little Pop

It was on one early summer morn
that the voice of a watchful Mama Corn
told a frightful story, meant to warn
her son, Pop, just recently born.

"Pop", it said, her darling boy to save,
"Once, in a cornfield, I too would wave.
In the sun and breeze, I was brave,
but you must listen up and behave.

You're a special kind of corn you see,
the 'zea mays everta' variety,
in everyday speech, 'popping corn'.
You should be proud, but I forewarn:

Special dangers lurk for folks like us
You're old enough now, we can discuss.
If, at the door, your darling greets you
for a movie date, she wants to eat you.

All corn loves to dance in the hot sun,
but be careful how you have your fun.
If you go to the beach from dawn to dusk,
please remember to wear your husk."

Instead of listening with respect and fear,
Little Pop would not lend his...ear?
So, while his mother's ghost did beseech,
the sun popped Pop all over the beach.
