Villanelle: Cowered crushed cramped cold in the pit of our stomachs

Cowered crushed cramped cold in the pit of our stomachs
We drag our ego thrones saddled on stooping lean backs
Fiendish liege Lords’ furnace mouths whiplash at run amoks

None can bear the thought shrunken image left on dry docks
Unconsoled by doctoral degrees or skills won on bent backs
Cowered crushed cramped cold in the pit of our stomachs

The terrifying shame of being left to rot on torrid tarmacs
The will to keep going in the face of spites and silly smacks
Fiendish liege Lords’ furnace mouths whiplash at run amoks

Les mille vices and pin-pricks we put up with as decoy ducks
While His Majesty Liege Ego rides in pomp pitfalls on tracks
Cowered crushed cramped cold in the pit of our stomachs

All mere paying passengers grovelling on groaning stomachs
No tenant fit to reign in his own fiefdom his baggage unpacks
Fiendish liege Lords’ furnace mouths whiplash at run amoks

He who runs not with hares but howls with hounding packs
Is he content to walk straight smile strung on lips and locks
Cowered crushed cramped cold in the pit of our stomachs
Fiendish liege Lords’ furnace mouths whiplash at run amoks

The Pit of Her Stomach

She brushes her fingertips

down her own skin and dreams of him

rising like a tide inside her,

his tongue between her teeth.

She waits for the stars to fall ripe into her palms,

and for the messiah.

She waits, heart in mouth,

for his breath against her bones.

From the Pit of Hell

FROM THE PIT OF HELL
By R. A. Merritt

The KKK has got a new name
But they don’t wear a robe and hood
They’re alternative right and are often polite
Like decent people should

Yeah they wear suits and ties
And have wingtips on their feet
And many of them are college grads
And members of the elite

And you know very well where they’re from
Where their minds do dwell
They’re the worse of America
They’re from the pit of hell

They’re giving each other Roman salutes
But not wearing Brown Shirts yet
But I expect they will be real soon
And be marching in Goose Step

They’re all over your city streets
They’re all over your home town
Anger in their excited voices
With faces wearin’ frowns

They don’t love our country
Though they profess they do
They in fact hate with it a passion
For the likes of me and you

And you know very well where they’re from
Where their minds do dwell
They’re the worse of America
They’re from the pit of hell

And they run the gamut
Are old age and very young
And they all walk in darkness
And avoid the shining sun

They’ve infected our country
Are a virus of wanton hate
And if we don’t cure it before to long
It just might be to late

And you know very well where they’re from
Where their minds do dwell
They’re the worse of America
They’re from the pit of hell

Yes if we don’t do something soon
This tyranny forestall
We’ll be headed for their prison camps
Or be pushed up against a wall

And no one will be left to weep for us
Or take account of our strife
Our freedom we once cherished
Will be as dead as our life

And you know very well where they’re from
Where their minds do dwell
They’re the worse of America
They’re from the pit of hell

And you know very well where they’re from
Where their minds do dwell
They’re the worse of America
They’re from the pit of hell
The very pit of hell

Rib-eye steaks are on the pit
    Seasoned with dad’s rub
    Are you all ready to grub
       Meat will fall off bone
      One bite, it’ll be gone
          Then drink Ice,
                  Tea!

The Pit of Never Ending

My words used to be everything there was to me and then they fell into the pit of never
ending.
 I tried my hardest to capture them back but they fell faster and faster. I thought I
might have to except the fact that I have become this mortal disaster.
 My passion was gone and I could not see. Into the pit of never ending I threw myself
falling...falling...falling. I got very quiet and heard my words whispering to me.
 I threw my limbs into a dive and went after them until they became alive. They were no
longer whispering, these words of beauty. They were screaming and crying to be set free.
 I told them I would save them. I told them to come to me. They went inside of me, to my
very core and up up up we began to soar!
 What was once nothing but darkness began to grow light. The opening of the pit came into
sight!
  Out we flew and landed ever so gently on the green grass. Freedom was ours at last.
 Why did I not let my words disappear? It was more then a mere feeling of fear. It was a
realization. Yes a clear one.
 When we're together we are one but my words without me are nothing but none.

                                  Dear Readers, never loose your words. Sometimes the
gift of seeing things differently can be a curse as well as a gift. Sometimes we think too
much and we try and find ways to not think. I've been avoiding my writing for the past few
years because when I write it makes me open up the thoughts and emotions I'm sometimes
scared of. I can honestly say these past few years without my writing have been the worst
years of my life. So NEVER stop doing what you love because you're afraid, because when
you wake up and realize you may never get it back you'll be crushed and terrified.
Thankfully I found my words again and for anyone out there who feels like they've lost
them, dive down deeper. They're waiting to be set free.

Lies From the Pit of Hell

Lies from the pit of HELL!

    The Devil is the father of all Lies
He is subtle and devious
He is cruel and merciless
He is daring and bold
He is selfish and cold

He knows what we want to hear
He likes to whisper in our ear
He tells us we will be fine
He seems to be oh so kind

He wants our soul
He wants it whole
He’ll take our life
With a silver knife

Trust the Sly Devil
At your own peril
Promises of power, fortune and fame
Just roll the dice and play the game
He’ll tell you there’s nothing to lose
Pills, Crack, Pot or Booze
You’ll have it all!
Till last call!
And HE’LL be laughing
As he watches you fall

The cruel lie of addiction is that we are fooled into thinking our wants are really our needs. The disease wreaks havoc on our minds and our bodies and even our souls. We will lie, cheat and steal for another fix, not caring who we hurt. Most notably, we are lying and hurting ourselves much more than the people who love us.

The Pit

This pit
Is getting deeper every day
There's no way out
I can't get out

This blackness of sadness
Covers me over
Thick like wool
Slick like oil

It slides like a heavy tide
Down my throat
Suffocating my mind
My heart
My soul

This pit
Is getting darker ever day
I can't see anymore
I'll never see again

These roots
Are pulling me deeper every day
Ripping away at my chest
Tear and shred
They never rest

This pit
Is getting deeper
Darker
Every day
There must be a way out
I'll find the way out

From Out of the Pit: I Cried

From out of the pit I cried.
Lord help me- you know I’ve tried,
To walk this path from day to day
Doing my best to do it your way.

This journey Lord seems hard and long.
I know I can’t make it on my own.
Lord I’ve tried time after time.
Sometimes I feel like I’m losing my mind.

Lord I’m crying from out of this pit.
I’m even writing while I’m in it.
Lord this is a cold and lonely place.
Lord help me to feel your loving grace.

From out of this pit I’m crying for others.
I’m crying Lord for the hurting mothers.
I’m even writing to help strengthen others.
From out of this pit- I present you to my brothers.

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved
him out of all his troubles.
Psalms 34:6

 I'm working on book 3- This came to me as a title..From Out of the Pit-I cried: Poetry from
a mother's Heart..Nothing written in stone yet just brainstorming.
 All is well just working on prayers and poems to fit the theme.

The Pit and Battle of Despair

I'm plunging into a pit of despair
The burden of despair I cannot bear
I see no light in this bottomless pit
Down I go, nearer to where darkness sits

I am tired of fighting this battle
The fight to live is just unbearable
I'm failing; I'm falling; I'm faltering
God knows I've tried to fight, but I'm losing

My knowledge of God feels unreal to me
I know He's good; His goodness I can't see
His love, grace and mercy I cannot find
For hopelessness engulfs my feeble mind

Premium Member The Glory and the Pit

God is in His glorious home
where no impurity or sin can dwell
that's where the redeemed shall enter
the wonders no human voice can tell

There they shall worship God alone
focused solely on Jesus God's own son
where angels without number sing praises
to the triune God three in one

The place of that horrible pit
where satin and his demons will be
there all Christ rejecters go
never again will be set free

The never ending fire will be ablaze
nothing can stop it's terrible pain
eternity describes it's force and time
hell's permanence marks it's stain

So where will it be for you?
as Jesus arms are stretched open
pleading for your heavenly entry
to run from hell and its gruesome den

The Pit

A feral battle between two starving men
That rages for ages with no knowable end.

Deep in the pit, exchange blow for blow
No escape, never free, forever held down below.

Brown bloodied rags hang off their skin
A visceral clash deep, deep therein.

Deep beetled brow looks rabidly down
Into hopeful pure eyes, neither making a sound

The silent exchange of resolve and of blood.
None else exists but man's will and the mud.

Neither will die no matter the force.
The fate of the men rotate in due course.

There is nothing else after, and was nothing before.
One wins a battle but neither wins the war.

The upper hand depends on the day.
A layer of flesh is with what all men pay.

One man breathes red and has ruby’s for eyes.
The other fights tempered with measured bled tries.

Pure savage ferocity against patience and poise
With the thrashing and crashing, only grit makes a noise.

From just the right angle they both look the same.
But the battle yet rages, they strangle for his name.

Fluorescent wrong casualties of war

In the pit of the darkness it's midnight

On the clouds of righteousness none of this fits
Caught up in the mirage of prayers
While even in the darkness they pedal their wares
While being strung out on life, embracing your strife
Providence is gunning for you infatuated with the democracy
Fathom cruise it's all that's lost to me and it's new
In the pit of the darkness it's midnight

Shall I get up to heaven in this fleshy tattered frame
While it's not about getting their it is more about staying there
For our God has unequivocally has said that there's nothing new under the Sun
For one day when the Son sets down on this terrain ground
Bringing with Him His warring angels to battle the sin ful strangers

From the clouds of His righteousness He commits
His merciful salvation yours you should accept

Providence is gunning for you infatuated with the bureaucracy
Phantom dues it's all you have left and to me it's old it's new

The Pit

When she comes, the greedy sea
Eating, biting, with a smile
Pretty careless and for free
Chunks and pieces for a mile
And the beach there helpless lies
While it crumbles bit by bit
As each precious portion dies
And falls in to the watery pit

Wendy Nipas

The Pit

I'm so sick of this paradigm,
Hating the living,
But afraid to die,
I'm sick of this guarded realm,
If I do what I want to,
I am going to hell.
There is nothing more that I deserve,
Than To get what I want
and abandon the herd,
There is nothing more that I desire,
Than to sin at a whim
And then bathe in fire,

I'll welcome my pit,
with open arms,
embrace the flames,
as they do no harm,
I'll give the devil my beating heart
if he ensures the cure
For a broken start

Oh I'll eat until,
I get my fill,
From the Plate,
of god's hate,
And his will
fulfills,
I'll start with his liars,
His faithless,
And *****,
I'll cut them all down,
With a righteous shear,
Then I can finally dwell
with the son of man,
Watch eternity burn
While I hold his hand,
and then
just when,
he begins to trust,
I'll watch as hell,
rises up to us.

And I'll welcome my pit,
with open arms,
embrace the flames,
as they do no harm,
I'll give the devil,
my beating heart,
To ensure the cure,
For a broken start,
I'll give the devil,
my tainted mind,
If it means he agrees,
To give me what's mine.

I'll give the devil
my broken hands,
if I can get a
second chance,
To take the hand,
of the father of man,
let it fall for all,
Who took a stand,
and then,
just when,
it hits the ground,
The heavens will play
a hellish sound,
The earth will call
for laws renown,
The truth is uncouth
but it will be found.

And we'll welcome our pit,
with open arms
Embrace the flames,
as they do no harm
The devil owns us,
we're where we belong,
Our souls are dust,
And our bodies gone,
The only thing left
worth fighting for,
A chance to die
and be reborn.

The Pit of Hell

the Pit of Hell
I had dream
a broken thoughts
Of strange nightmares
darkened my dark

Lighted by thick darkness
no rules no responsibility no order
beautified by darkness melody by wailings
Coloured by horrors,
horrors you have never never seen

In the fragility of my dreams
The last of hope is lost there
even the dead prefers the grave
in the grave is RIP
In the pit hell no peace is found
and calmness is noised by voices
Of wailing, weeping men
No corrections there ,no promotion
all insignias are melted all ranks ground

In the fragility of my dreams
all Pride is powdered
mixed with the fire to the boil
no recommendations ,no respect
no reprimands

No injury time ,no first half no second half
no penalties, no referees, no timing
the game keeps on playing, the ball keeps on rolling
rolling and never stopping~~~~~~~`~````~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~`~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~````~~~~~~~~
No day, no night no air,
no breath, yet no death~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
your enemies become your friends
 no contention only one common goal
;Pains pains pains with hands like darks fangs
deepened down the brain emmmmmmmm~~~~~
The greatest mystery;
 burns but never ashes
only strengthens
worms feed ease
death is sent parking
pain is the foundation
The cries of wailing men
like the roaring of millions
of lions
Be warned
Behold He cometh
In His wings of Glory!!!
I bubbled out my sleep
to remain whole again
In the fragility of my dreams
