The Pit of Her Stomach

She brushes her fingertips

down her own skin and dreams of him

rising like a tide inside her,

his tongue between her teeth.

She waits for the stars to fall ripe into her palms,

and for the messiah.

She waits, heart in mouth,

for his breath against her bones.

Very passionate, Micaela. Like the way she "dreams of him rising like a tide inside her." Right on the mark for those who long for their lovers. Great work! Love, Carolyn
