I had the worst terrors last night
My mind was in a gruesome sight
The ‘ol apocryphal scene
Insighted by the new regime

Migration bill stirs fear among
Farmworkers chant that It’s Wrong!
Phone app saves Honduran journalist
Can’t go back she’s on their death list
Can’t walk ‘n get food without stress
ICE is cold, enforcing arrests
Or anywhere, nonetheless
For a green card is meaningless

Now a tourist destination
Gaza's newest sensation
Take over plans for a Riviera
Palestine people’s tierra*
Taken; territory sovereign
New rich owner YOU ONLY gain
Who be the beneficiaries
Billionaire contemporaries

For undoence he’s called a hero
Those sacrificed their life for, zero
Those fought for everyone’s freedom
In vain forgotten in this new kingdom
Unbeknownst me how it plays out
Living in the USA, peace-out

Premium Member Take Over

For weeks now the two young males had been watching,
waiting for their opportunity and now it was time.
They were now strong enough to take over the pride.
Signalling his intent to his brother Moto stood up
and started forward with Javier following behind.
As the reached the pride a battle royal ensued
The lionesses desperate to drive them off knowing
if they succeeded vast changes would occur.

Far in the distance Soto heard the roars and growls
as the take over ensued and rushed to protect them.
The fight was long and hard with some fatalities.
Soto received wounds that would take months to heal
as he was banished by the brothers, his life now as an outcast.
Luckily for him Zanidar joined him with her cubs of nearly a year old
She and they would keep him fed as he slowly healed.

Back at the pride the brothers set about their gruesome task
all the cubs were hunted down and killed without mercy.
Now the lionesses would soon be ready to mate again
and it would be their blood that the offspring would bear
perpetuating their line and increasing the size of the pride.

Life in the African Savannah was always cruel and hard
the brothers would face many challengers in their time.
Food always an issue once the migrating herds moved on.
Now a time of little the pride suffered and grew weaker.
The only saving grace was the buffalo not without their risks.
Valiant fighters who protected each other forming a ringed barrier
around the more vulnerable, ready to fight to the death.

With very young cubs the lionesses needed food to feed them
and desperation drove them on, finally they made a good kill
none would go hungry for a few days. In the distance the clouds
gathered rain falling far up country at last reaching them and
with the rain the vast herds once more returned and life teemed.

Now was a time of plenty and the pride recovered their health.
For seven years the brothers ruled supreme yet in the background
there were many waiting their own time. Two males in particular
Janto and Batso sons of Soto watched and waited eager to take over
until at last it was their time and turn to roust the pride males.
And so the never ending cycle started again until the next time.

Techno Take-Over

TECHNO TAKE-OVER

Technology says we’re on the brink
of human assistance being extinct
our jobs robots will do
fake people serving you
freakishly knowing each thought we think

Take-Over 1

Streets made me, that's why I bleed cement
Your hour has come, your time is spent
My strap spoils fools, expiration date
Class was in, you din't participate

Slide on you like a pair of sandals

Light you up like a set of candles

At the free-throw, shootin' like I was fouled

No puttin' on shows, I don't like a crowd

Keep it on the low, like a bottom bunk

Shut you out, slam the door, like a dunk

The game's on lock, no gettin' in, Fort-knox

Secured, with bullet-proof glass, and you're throwin' rocks?

Domination, this is a take-over

You're drunk-drivin', I'm fully-focused, sober

Call me a bench-warmer, I don't play games

Put you in a box, not talkin' picture frames

Point blank, with my glock, that's a snapshot

Kill competition, that's my infamous plot

With no one runnin', I'm winning the race

Losing's not an option, I only know first place

Take-Over 2

Streets made me, that's why I bleed cement
Your hour has come, your time is spent
My strap spoils fools, expiration date
Class was in, you din't participate

Raised your hand, it's good to ask questions

Pay attention, don't cost much, even in recessions

Beginning of the end, this is a take-over

If you're sluggish, better move over

Came from the bottom, now I'm elavatin'

Fully focused, like I'm testin'

Keep my eyes on the prize, ignore distractions

Reflexes like a cat, no late reactions

Ain't playin' in movies, but I'm quick to act

I'm an over-achiever, I never lacked

Like an all-in pot, I gave it everything

Married to the game, I got it a ring

Devoted to money, never catch me cheatin'

To me, getting paid is better than skeetin'

Hustling is like Viagra for making cash

At times it gets hard, and it makes it last

The Take Over

put your laugh in check
because everything today
has to be politically correct
nothing is ever done face to face
human socializing is becoming a
dying art except in cyber space
everything is so matter of fact
as we mimic the images on our screens
and welcome the lack of human contact
the horizon seems to offer hope
but more of a decpetion, like a diamond
embroided hang mans rope
a future fortold by machinary and binary codes
artificial intelligence reproducing
robotic programs, inorganic molds
if you are considered insane then you are unplugged
and one of the many that the system considers
a short circuit a glitch or a bug

Pet Rocks Take Over

Pet Rocks Take Over

Pet Rocks come from down in Mexico way
You cannot put a price on pleasure
.95 cents was once upon a time their cost
For $4.00 you could not go wrong
$20.00 is the cost today
You can still put them in the refrigerator
And there they will stay, obedient and calm
If they charge any more for them
I’ll need a second job
To pay for them and the ones in my head
They still come with instructions and warnings
I’ve taught mine how to sit and play dead all day
Place them in the sun to keep them warm in morning
Remember, cold storage is the best they say
I fear one day they will leave me for eBay
Pet Rocks will take over the world that way

(Here is my other Pet Rock poem for your reading pleasure already posted on Poetry Soup.)
            Pet Rocks Don’t Snore
Every ten years or so I rewrap my pet rock
In tin foil to keep it safe and secure
Then place it back in freezer storage
Unwanted guests visit after midnight sometimes
They steal my rock from cold storage while I sleep
Night stalkers think, it is a roll worth buttering and eating
Place it in the microwave to thaw
But it won’t thaw
At breakfast they complain to me
I tell them to dip it in their coffee
Go ahead! Dunk it! Dunk it some more! I say
After breaking teeth
A dentist visit is in order
Unwanted guests leave my rock in peace
Learning it is not a treat
Pet rocks don’t go to war
More importantly, they don’t snore
They are kept in the refrigerator
That is what pet rocks are for

Allowing Computer Use To Take Over Our Lives

Allowing Computer Use to Take Over Our Lives

By Elton Camp

The online world can be a fascinating place
But to let it control our life is sure a disgrace

Look at the amount of time that anyone spends
With the virtual world instead of family & friends

Also, it is quite foolish and dangerously unwise
To let it prevent us from getting needed exercise

If online all day and very late into the night
Our appearance and weight become a fright

Lack of sleep can cause disease, including cancer
Enough food, sleep and exercise can be the answer

We can greatly harm ourselves and those around us
If with an electronic unreality too often surrounds us

If caught in this trap, we need to bring it to an end
And to limit the time that being online we spend

The Take Over

Painting #10
Thistle in a Field, by Fidelia Bridges 1875

Wild and free,
the thistle in a field
sharpens its spine,
stretches its long neck
to kiss the sun.

He is a runaway
this out of control
prodigal son
absorbing the heat
on a hot summer’s day
racing to see
who has out grown him
in the shortest time
during the siege
and take over.

He enjoys
his freedom
wildly predicting
his an end time
when he, with all
the others
will be cut down.

He is one thistle in a field
calling for unity.

The Take Over

How to criminalized the human race,
so that the corporate takeover can take
place. First report that the economies of the
world are going broke. dramatize it, and
say it's definitely not a joke.

Make economics starts to crash.
Let unemployment start to go fast.
Now the process starts as people start
losing their jobs. In mass numbers
something like lightening and thunder.

Now people start finding it hard to pay
their bills. Banks go out of business
and start heading for the hills. The illegal
black markets kicks in to get back on
their feet again.

So good people start to take black market
illegal work to survive. Killing their sense
of morality and decency inside. From which
they can not hide,

The military people step in people get
arrested, for trying to get food and
shelter and something to eat. Those in
control are committing crimes that are
untold stealing our money and our gold.

More prisons are built all over the place.
Innocent people being put in their place.
Then the controlling rich appear out of the blue.
As the new leaders of the me and you.

The take over is complete, now people around
the world are on bread lines waiting food and
something to eat. That is how it will be done.
If people stay asleep and don't wake up to
the morning sun.

In fact I think the process has already started
looking around the world at the unenployed
and broken hearted. This is not the end but
it's about about to began.

Premium Member Turkey Take Over

The interlopers surrounded the old folk’s farmstead before dawn.
Farmer Jay wondered what planet they were now living on.
Their gravely gobbles were incessantly loud, it was a take over.
Farmer Jay’s hound dog was missing, his name was Leaf Clover.

What do they want? The missus asked her sweet husband Jay.
Not sure he said, but it does not look like a very good day.
Eat hamburgers and bacon at Thanksgiving was their soul-full yell.
They gobbled it all morning until the dinner bell.

Other demands were written down in blue and red ink.
By this time they had sold their farm to a young couple named Pink.
What about the turkeys? Are you taking them? The young owner asked.
They are your problem now, Farmer Jay said, picking up his statue of Bast.

Our Brains

ETHREE-NONET POETRY

  OUR BRAINS
Man's
Faulty
Brain power
Is limited
In this place of sin
Even the genius
Uses maybe ten percent
God plans much more for His children
What a blessing our life will soon be
If we will let Him take over our lives
Then God's universe we will explore
We will know how dull we were here
How stunted our growth has been
How our foe has fooled us
And kept us in paths
That led us to
Forsake God's
Loving
Way

The Take Over

The suffocation, when did it take over?

Why is it so hard to breath?

'Why' is such a common question with absolutly no answer.

Why do we want it?

Why do we need it?

Why why why why why why why?

I don't understand, understand this pressure, this suffocation.

I can't breath,

but maybe I dont want to.

Maybe then all the suffocation, the pressure, the questions....

maybe they'll all go away...

Maybe, Just maybe.
