Best Starlit Poems
I still remember
how you were
there in the dark,
holding my
bleeding heart.
Whilst I wandered,
sleepless under
soundless spheres.
Now I search
for your starlit
symphony
that echoes,
as idyllic octaves,
from the last song
you sang for
our lost youth;
demons we fought,
when colorless dusks
abandoned me,
between tuneless
sheets of emptiness,
where citrine gold
streaked wavelets of
strawberry scented
sunrise and
amethyst sunset
composed
hibiscus hymns.
But when ink
within my soul
hides behind
pomegranate lies,
that I truly despise,
amidst crimson-clawed
chaos of cluttered
calligraphy,
crawling in silence
along cursive linings
carved in
psychedelic perianths ~
can you hear
my pleas vibrating
through unwritten lyrics,
scrawled in
seaweed green?
Some melodies need
no words nor voice,
to narrate noiseless
refrains of
endless loss,
orchestrated
from seraphic
strings—
whistling
peacock promises,
that linger
within my
violet blue veins,
coated with
helium love.
And even in
death,
you and I
will forever,
remain as
immortal kins—
like the
evening moon
and the
midnight sun,
chasing
dewberry daydreams,
fructified from sage
mint roots,
waltzing to
your perfumed
presence in
the elysian castle.
I will never stop
singing our soft
cotton serenades,
even if the blackest
of stones from the
greyest hail quartz,
dimmed the
sangria seas
that ripples deep
into the shimmering
gates of your
home above
the seven skies.

My mind has wings and wants to fly
into galaxies where stars streak.
Aloft on whispers and a sigh
a hint of stardust on my cheek.
Into galaxies where stars streak
aurora borealis gives me flair,
a hint of stardust on my cheek
starlit diva with solar hair.
Aurora borealis gives me flair
through cosmic currents I do swing,
starlit diva with solar hair
enjoying my celestial fling.
Through cosmic currents I do swing
aloft on whispers and a sigh,
enjoying my celestial fling
my mind has wings and wants to fly.

"I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart) I am never without it..."
E.E. Cummings
Amber hues kissed twilight's platinum pigments that night,
beckoning ivory pearls to weave patterns of astral flames.
Charm of the crescent moon glowed in a golden gem tinge,
dazzling in divine desires, devoted to admirers of starlit destinies.
Enamoured, we embraced, consoling under coral constellations,
forgetting fears, promising to forever remain as cosmic lanterns.
Galactic fires of euphoria, blazed celestial candles into dripping wax,
hushing horizons into a heavenly haven of honeysuckle hope.
Intoxicated inside fireworks of ethereal lights, dancing on clouds,
jasmine jubilance filled the air, as shy silver sparks slipped away.
Kindled spirits like nocturnal diamonds yearned to be eternal
lovers of luminescent lullabies lingering inside opalescent orbs.
Magnetism of moonlight melodies are enchanting, but ephemeral,
nothing lasts forever, so at dawn with the arrival of a nightingale
orchestra, our obsession of obeisance withered like an orchid obituary.
Pastel passions of our paramour portrait discoloured with daylight dew,
quivering in nature's quiet quarantine of quintessence slumber.
Radiant rays only offered reflections of regret and rejection, as,
sorrows of sunflowers in winter winds shattered my hourglass heart.
These tribulations torment my tired soul, like a refugee of romance.
Unstable, under an umber universe, I've become an uncherished
verse in a voiceless vocabulary, no longer vibrant nor valued.
Wilting in the wilderness without your wisteria whispers, wounds in
xanthous tumours, hidden behind a veil of Xanadu metaphors,
yearn to heal from yesterdays, where your touch softened my burdens.
Zest of your zealotry is engraved in echoes of my zephyr heartbeats.

Sun, so tired, into the Pacific, now doth take its rest.
While the cold, homeless, head for hooded, warm tents.
The melancholy, grateful poetess, joyful to see the moon,
Observing its silvered reflection, in an indigo-magic lagoon.
Pondering, how very far away, her true love doth dwell.
A crystal, starlit tear falls, whispers back, that all is well!

That lonely maple tree on the mighty green hill,
still hides my secret letters and beloved quill,
Oh the jubilant friend I'd found on a summer day,
it embraced me with lush branches on heaps of hay.
My hushed fears siphoned by soothing hums of breeze,
forlorn desires weaved into stories of azure seas,
it cocooned my dreams in wisps of green infant leaves,
that sprinkle dew drops when the little robin grieves.
Ambrosial baskets of delicious mangoes that I savor,
it shaded them until you embellished a rosy red flavor,
you slept in my arms as I heard a nervous cuckoo sing,
the maple branches swayed in glee, to love they cling.
Our fingers draped in icy whispers under magenta sky,
at twilight we shivered in the fervent wind to fly,
shooting stars adorned maple leaves on dark nights,
our recluse in golden sequins of blinking silver lights.
It still melts my summer stories on yellowed pages,
leaves marked with your name haven't faded since ages,
tonight I'll dance to rhapsodies of that fiery healing love,
peeping from crevices of leaves to your galaxies above.

Do not allow others to define you.
You, deep as the rolling cerulean sea.
And believe me you are the bright
star on your Christmas tree!
Chase your dreams, they will not
fall into your lap!
Above all, don't judge your poem by the number
of comments you get.
That's no way to go, my pet!!
We all have different unique styles
Created in part by our unique life
miles.
Behind your words your hear hearts and lives.
Just be your best and in that moment, to humanity
you truly will do more than survive!
Soupmail me, if you feel passed by.
I have seen the huge number of poets unread,
Believe me..here there is no Poetic godhead.
I try to remind people this is poetry, not comment soup!
Just be here to be original and the satisfaction of not wanting
commenting from others is a true poet's hue.
It takes courage! I understand to continue!
Some of the very best here have unique poet venues.

winds whirling clouds about
within the confines of this mind
stirred emotions in motion
stagnant waters notwithstanding
spinning all perspectives askew
after the pub crawl
where will we land
if not by the sea
practicing our butterfly stroke
under a monarch moon

A bottle of wine, glasses poured to the brim,
There sat you and I, the lights were all dim.
A pair of hearts speaking louder than it should,
All was still, we didn't escape it even if we could.
It flowed like silk, our thoughts we shared.
Eager to know more, we asked, we dared.
The moon shone its light on who was once a stranger,
The stars danced purposely as if to show off their glimmer.
We spoke of philosophies, of heartbreaks and of dreams,
Time was still, everything else stood on the seams.
It was enough for us to realize how grateful we were;
Under the starlit skies, among skyscrapers, nothing is forever.
And if all we were ever meant to have was this one moment,
My heart will hold what we shared in a fragment.
In a world of luck, chance, mystery and wonder;
The stars aligned to bring our two old souls together.

It was a night of whispered words of love.
His voice caressed me like a romantic song
in the rich tones of an erotic melody
that made me tremble at his gentle touch.
I shall never forget that magical night...
Our eyes bright with moonbeams and love.
Hand in hand, we sat on my back porch.
I inhaled his scent as our lips met
Bodies close; a single shadow in the moonlight
Love's flames had been kindled
Witnessed by a myriad of dancing stars above
I thirsted for his kisses as flowers seek the dew
He awakened all my sleeping senses
when he brushed aside my tears of pleasure.
This boy, whose glances dispelled my fears,
appears in my dreams as a sweet memory
that comes unbidden to make my heart quicken.
First love holds a special place in my heart.
I can still feel my cheeks blush
when I remember the warmth of his touch.
On full moon nights, when stars are aglitter,
a secret smile plays across my lips.

Starlit Sonnets
“Once upon a time”...we gazed the starlit nite
Where dimensional dreams took us in flight
With the Unicorns uniting on the Valley tops
Cotton candy clouds with delicious raindrops
The Wizards waving with atmospheric allure
Caressing misty moss in venturous verdure
Amongst the Fugal Fairies frolicking forests
With Rainbow palettes of flourishing Florets
Daydreams descending through cyan sky
As the fresh aroma florals fragrantly sigh
Wishing-Well wishes, with Wonderland ware
Leprechauns and gnomes asleep in their lair
Sonnet surrendering as Poet’s proclaim
“Once upon a time” down memories lane.

Starlit Memories
“…recently scenes of early life have stolen into my mind like breezes blown…”
Samuel Coleridge
Midnight reveries tickle my memories
When I see bright asterisms ascend
Through rivers of stars summers past I see
Constellations retell their starry legends,
Storied tales of fantasy in starlight,
I search the sky for my celestial friends
Lying in grassy fields on warm summer nights
Spellbound eyes saw the sparkling stars at play
My imagination soared with the eagle’s flight
Upon the evening star a wish I prayed,
A plea for peace on fiery comet tails,
Dreams star dusted in the Milky Way
In childhood innocence, wonder prevailed
On astral magic winds like hidden grails
