Sun, so tired, into the Pacific, now doth take its rest. While the cold, homeless, head for hooded, warm tents. The melancholy, grateful poetess, joyful to see the moon, Observing its silvered reflection, in an indigo-magic lagoon. Pondering, how very far away, her true love doth dwell. A crystal, starlit tear falls, whispers back, that all is well! 2/5/2024

First of all, David, thank you for your congratulations! It says more about you than me. To me., when you honor another poet, that’s bigger than the honor itself of getting a POTD.. I think more of a commentator than me,It’s OK didn’t know there was a POTW. There’s plenty here I do not know.. And,,I’ve been here for years consistently. I don’t write to win. POTW or POTD’s I see as recognition, plain and simple, that is exciting! So thank you! Pangie xx 6;30am.

JOHN! hello! I see nothing sad in this one.I guess because I think of sadness in It!!. I even stated in line 2 ” ,,,the grateful poetess, “joyful to see the moon.ie,, She was not crying in her beer over the man that got away. She was just thinking of ollover. She was not sobbing in distress. He happened to jump into her mind, LOL. I do not like victim or weepy poems about love.I like those who move on))Pangie.

Dear Pangie, this is such a heavenly write starting straight away with the beautiful title. I love that, ‘ The starlit tear,’ The picture you chose is absolutely perfect to accompany the poem. The imagery you describe is divine, ‘silvered reflection, indigo - magic lagoon, starlit tear.’ So lovely. I love the melancholy as thoughts of her love float across the ocean wondering the distance of their separation and yet through the silence, the peace, the magic of the night tells her that all is well.
