My Lord, you are the Poet,
Who notes me with thy strong hands.
I can only aspire to know it
And extend thy word to all known lands.

You have set in me for the sun
A tabernacle for his regal throne,
From which he arises for his daily run
Throughout heaven's every zone.

Each morn I await his excellent ascent.
Onward with his golden lamp of God,
He begins at one end of the firmament
And runs on with the light of Aaron's rod.

Sulu, Lock Phasers and Await My Command 1

Captains Log Star date 8391.1,

I now face a terrible dilemma. After the bloodiest of battles with a crew from
another dimension, a crew of doppelgangers, in essence a crew of ourselves, we
have finally gained the upper hand, and this other Enterprise, Enterprise of
ourselves, Enterprise of unquestioning faith, is tumbling, helplessly through the
coldness of space. And I, I remain unsure of my next move. Do I destroy this other
Enterprise before it makes me believe in the ideas I hear repeated the most? If I
destroy it, what will the consequences be for me and my crew?

(Status Mr. Chekov?)

Captain, her shields are down
With no anti-matter inducer interface
Basically she's a wounded wessel
Just hurling through space

(Spock)

But her coils are recharging
As is that of her design
You have only a brief window
Before her mains are back on line

Mr. Sulu, arm photon torpedoes
And stay ready with your hand
Lock phasers on target
And then await my next command
                                      (locking phasers)

(Uhura)

Captain, the other Enterprise is hailing
Wishing to express their desire
This faith-based you wants to discuss
The terms of a mutual cease fire

(ON SCREEN)

(the faith-based me}

What's the meaning of this attack?
You have taken this too far
And don't you dare forget
I know how blood thirsty you are

(the questioning me)

You represent the old me
The empty parrot of my faith
But so often you gave me comfort
During the loneliest of days

(the faith-based me)

Then we have an understanding
You can see that you need me
I just want.............. to live.....
To love and ........to breath......

Premium Member Dead of the Night - Act 1

The countryside was silent as midnight was approaching
On the porch I sat content with a Brandy a toasting

The calmness around me on this moonlit tranquil night
Whilst drifting clouds curtained, and blanketed her from sight

So I arose from my chair intending to retire for the day
When a light in the distance outshone the moons display

One became two as they disappeared into the black
My mind so in overdrive as my thoughts now never lacked

Inquisitive as I am, I headed out to investigate
It's about an hour from my house, I hope I'm not too late

Many miles walking, trudging in the pitch black dark
With just a paltry torch, up ahead I see an arc

It appears to be connecting, to the two lights I had earlier seen
Once again my minds in wander, these lights are actually machines

They started glowing brighter as the arc increased in size
Then from the light two beings appeared, right before my eyes

Initially they were of ashen colour, skeletal empty shapes
They now appear to be shape shifting, like me in skin clad drape

Into the light they turn, revealing their look to me
Human form they certainly are, but hideous they appear to be

Before me stands a male and female, with looks you'll never see
Where have these beings come from that parade in front of thee

He who looks like cyclops with teeth that fills his face
She resembles a Masai woman, not really out of place

The arc now changes direction, shooting beams into the darkened sky
Now other lights appear from the black, it's time to wonder why

With care I head off home, witnessing many more lights a falling
If they carry what I have just seen, theres more to come a calling

Can You See

Can the world see the
gently and caring in
me or can it see the
 mooded and
sometimes mean in me
if it can see in me what
would it want to take?
can the devil see the softness
in me or it can see the
badness in me and what would it
 want from me?

I Am

I am not sad......
           I am not mad....
I am tired....
TIRED...... of all these childish games you play, You play with my emotions...

But why???
I am not a bad person nor a horrible friend nor a horrible girlfriend to be with....
Are you confused??That you keep telling me "I want to be alone" but why? If you say I
make you happy...? or is it false? why don't you have that will power to let go of the past and
move forward?...

YOU ARE STUCK living in the past... You are not living, but you are drowning in your own
grave of stress and loneliness...
Let me in.. I have proven to you, I am a good and positive women. I am strong and smart.
I don't play childish games...
Don't push me away ..... I know you very well... I can read you like no other.. I am patient
and I can wait... but the question is will you be ready?? I want to spend the rest of my life
with you. we are like two in a pod.... what more do you want>????
I'll always catch you when you fall... and lift you when you are down? who else would do
that for you? you are special and unique in your own way I accept you for who you are and
how you are.... I am your light.... don't blow it away.....

Going Home Ii

Twenty minutes from home----
We are returning home from space,
A part of God's creation: a beautiful and awesome place!
It's been a great flight for me and six others.
Much was accomplished by my astronaut sisters and brothers.

Nineteen minutes from home----
     Flip the switches; watch the dials;
     Anticipate our loved ones smiles!
I guess by now, we can easily be seen.
These shuttle runs have become so routine.

Eighteen minutes from home----
     I'll be in church tomorrow,with my kids and my wife;
Then I'll begin to resume my earth-bound life
The computers have us right on course,
And we are beginning to feel the gravitational force!

Seventeen minutes from home----
A lobster for dinner (maybe I'll devour it whole)
Everything's fine because I know God is in control.
It will be nice to set foot on earth once again,
And be joyously welcomed by our families and friends.

Sixteen minutes from home----
Something's wrong! Thank You Lord that You said You would never leave me alone.
     Oh God!
     I'm Home!

Rain Drops On My Universe

Rain drops on my universe
And I can’t tell you a thing
And the world just keeps on turning
This cold house won’t sooth the pain

I saw through rose colored glasses
Cracking till I couldn’t see a thing
All the lights are blinking out
And I’m fumbling in the dark

The world just won’t slow down
I’ve jumped the track again
My hair was so much longer
And I never believed in sin

Now it’s all a bloody mess
And the light is pouring in
Life is such a scary place
But I’ll pull back in the end

Tell me can you fix me hunny?
Pull me out in to the sun
You can’t begin to fathom
When the paint begins to run

My room it has a black door
And I want to paint it red
Try as you might you never see
It’s scary in my head

Rain drops on my universe
And you tell my secrets one by one
And it all just keeps on hurting
Until my heart goes numb

Rain drops on my universe
‘Cause God is crying if she’s real
Everything is spinning now
But it’s okay ’cause I can’t feel

Little Dish...

Little dish of a thing tiny and humble,
standing tall at the heart of them all,
hose in hand a quiet thing. Said hi to me.
Right there at the beat of the Dark Tower
and I knew before a second or an hour,
that it's true. I said hi to her too.

Her mind carries the Uni.Verse. Not three
digit but more in her eyes, I could see it
recognized. Little dish of a thing washes
the dishes I bring. Sever passes dirty
the plates to sea a washer washing
inside the machine. We said hi on day 2.
Again.

"Do you know high math" when you wash?
Eyes gleaming behind the mist and noise,
the Washer kept watch with silver poised,
for the cleaning. Her layer is steaming hot
and her eyes scream know me not... but,
I befriended her anyway.

Because she plays. There in the Passage and
framed in the Gates our eyes met Lights in a
beam of water and steam our eyes, both gleam.ing
Sounds of the machine are screaming and Time
isn't moving as we See. You are Me echoes
two in recognition in Vision, In Number. Old
schooled and humble in silent knowing we stood
passing the dishes to and fro in and over the
flow of water, eyes burning with a knowledge of
the Ancient Great Fire.

And we hug in exchange of a glance
.... called recognition. Little dish of a wish
I made came true when she called me by
a friendly name too. Then we shook hands
knowing that we'd speak again.
Our arrangements set firm.

The Washer faded Way then.... her eyes pull
back into the Myst and the dishes bang. Only
silence now from the machine...

Good work began...
In a Great Friendship, Just. Beginning.

Ship of Play

How to build my spaceship?
Let me see...
First I would grab
A coffee or tea.

Then I would open
My big sketchbook
An amateur please
Not a vet, but a rook.

Only at night
Would I work on my ship
So I could stare at the moon
Taste the stars on my lips.

Looking around
For hammer and nails
Seems to old fashioned
For the ship I would sail.

Better the tools
In my mind so I
Won't hit a glitch
When I finally try

To beam myself up
Escalator or plane
To my ship in the sky
Where I feel no pain.

My mind fills with love
And peace to this earth
A great driver I am
Ever since birth.

No gears or clutches
No huge white lights
A bit more understated
To sneak away in the night.

Perfectly quiet
Perfectly sized
For me alone
Or two could ride.

Once inside
Defy gravity
Your above the world
Your oh so free

Everything is run by touch alone
No short circuits here
Everything as smooth as silk
Love the ship my dear.

Powered by peace
No gas to run this
No electricity
Just the touch of your lips

Kiss the wheel
And fly away
Stay as long as you want
On my ship of play.

Differences

Differences
By Shericka Murphy

I can't help but to tell you
That me and you are not the same
And all the time that we are together
I don't know who is the blame
Seriously sometimes I can't love you
Because sometimes it's just to hard
And sometimes I feel like leaving you
And leaving you with this card
Maybe things seem fragile
And maybe time sells short
But sometimes I feel like you've left me
And sent me your last resort
Being in love with you
Can break anyone's heart
And being in love with you
Has torn my soul apart
And crying doesn't help anything
But praying...it helps a lot
Sometimes I can be very cold with you
But inside I really feel hot
And days I lock the door
And you look through the hole for the key
And I've told you there is nothing to look for
But you look and don't know what you see
So please stop all this craziness
And stupid actions of the mind
I wish you would have never promised me
That to me you would always be kind

I know were two different people
But our minds still think the same
The whole time were together
We think were playing a game
You know the both of us have a heart
Or maybe the both of us don't
There are some things you will do for me
And there are some things you just won't
Like when i ask you to just care for me
You're caring for someone else
I guess that makes the both of us
Just caring for "Yourself"
Me, I'm just a person
But I don't know exactly what you are
I remember you used to tell me
I was your shining star
I've had it with all your lies
And I hate when you leave everyday
You know sometimes when you walk out that door
I really wish that you would stay
I really want us to stop fighting
But I don't want us to be friends
I just want this to be over
I just can't wait until all of this ends
You might think it'll work with some chocolate
And you might think I'll smile for a rose
But I hope you realize just how wrong you been
And It's because of the Differences you chose

Aggrivation

Family, friends and drama are all so agrrivating
Family is being so stupid I become filled with agrrivation
Some friends make the agrrivation bubble inside of me like molten lava
Other friends take it away and freeze it
Drama is all around everyday
Day in and day out there is always drama no matter where you turn or go
All drama does is intensifiy the agrrivation until i finally snap....
I take out all of my agrrivation on anybody who gets on my nerves
When i release alll this agrrivatin i let it pour from every pore on my body
When i finally snap all i want to happen is for people to leave me the heck alone
Yet that is not god because you need to have friends that care enough about you to find out
what is wrong with you
To calm you down to help you cool off
You try not to snap at all your loved ones
But you can't help it because when you say its nothing they won't leave you alone and give
you your space

Lunar Touch

The space covers me now.
Words stayed too long
beyond the thoughts of I
and my landscape.
A burst of silence soaks me.
What was history,
a voyage to rough awakening?
Absence of a voice makes me suffer again.

My religion burns.
Life is a dark smoke
I will write a message on your palm.
Give me a breather,
the distances make me sad.
Black dust drifts through
the slits of our predictions.
At least I know what I am.

On a sunny day
I break a mirror.
My fingers slide like scissors,
open the envelope.
I know it has a sermon,
I don’t want to read.
The depression has a lunar touch.
I break a flower into hundred petals.
