Ship of Play
How to build my spaceship?
Let me see...
First I would grab
A coffee or tea.
Then I would open
My big sketchbook
An amateur please
Not a vet, but a rook.
Only at night
Would I work on my ship
So I could stare at the moon
Taste the stars on my lips.
Looking around
For hammer and nails
Seems to old fashioned
For the ship I would sail.
Better the tools
In my mind so I
Won't hit a glitch
When I finally try
To beam myself up
Escalator or plane
To my ship in the sky
Where I feel no pain.
My mind fills with love
And peace to this earth
A great driver I am
Ever since birth.
No gears or clutches
No huge white lights
A bit more understated
To sneak away in the night.
Perfectly quiet
Perfectly sized
For me alone
Or two could ride.
Once inside
Defy gravity
Your above the world
Your oh so free
Everything is run by touch alone
No short circuits here
Everything as smooth as silk
Love the ship my dear.
Powered by peace
No gas to run this
No electricity
Just the touch of your lips
Kiss the wheel
And fly away
Stay as long as you want
On my ship of play.
