Premium Member Penny For Your Thoughts
So many pennies,
lost in the system,
rejected, neglected,
dejected -
cursed by '99' price tags,
a charity box favourite,
nobody wants nor waits for.

So many forgotten pennies,
lost on the streets or behind our sofas,
yet pounds are never thrown away.

Both are round, so why do they only care for the pound?

Maybe...

We are all for the Fall
in the seasons of His hands
where He pulls in the strings
of all His puppets
calling in cold legions
in a bitter Winter bleeding
before Spring arrives again
bathed in Light
and a new Summer stands

Premium Member Deep Ocean Bubble People
Deep below the ocean's surface volcanic vents do spew,
Fumes of pressurized oxygen with their bubbly molten brew.

Down where the water's pressure is denser than that of air,
The lava's effervescent bubbles form an atmospheric lair.

There lives within these domes of air a group of simple...

Premium Member A Place I Once Knew-F
There was a large family,
who never needed sympathy.
They had some lacks and doubts,
but they never needed handouts.

There was a ragged house
with a real home inside.
There were strong brick walls
and solid floors of concrete.

One could complain of pain and go insane,
or board a bus, or maybe...

Premium Member Unconquerable Almost
Cockroaches are generalized insects with few special adaptations. Most are the size of a thumbnail, but they can be as big as 3.8 inches and weigh 30 grams. Their largest wingspan is 7.3 in. They are used as food and medicine in China, Mexico, and Thailand;...

Understand the caricature
To understand the creature

Acrimony is the first step to atrophy

Sacrilegious or areligious
Voracious visions visit the valiant

Written words form the tapestry
Tattooed across his very flesh

Dine with the dead
And you'll come out ahead

Cull the herd
And you'll be heard

A spoke on the wheel
Is replaced when lost...

Premium Member Inter Species Wisdom
Each animal species has
its own wisdom to share;
the human species ego though,
doesn’t seem to be aware.

Each species has its social structure,
an education it gladly shares.
All nurturing and loving,
survival ways and cares.

Each raises its own children,
trains...

Premium Member In Days of Robin Hood
In Days of Robin Hood

In days of yore,
In days of Robin Hood,
A merry band of outlaws
Rambled throughout Sherwood forest
(Home of the Major Oak,
North of Windsor Castle,
And South of Hadrian’s Wall).

They dressed in Lincoln green,
And whistled in the greenwood glades.
And armed themselves with daggers and swords,
Cudgels,...

Captivated!
My words are so deep that when i speak i create
a void in your mind.
It's like a poetic poison running through the veins of
your membrane;
Paralyzing your state to maintain...
You can't think of a thought to conclude...time has
refrained.
'Though attempts...

Premium Member They Milk the Aphids
From deep inside her complex nest
She rules her colony
And sees that all the others there
Her orders they obey.

Hundreds of her daughters there live.
Her strict rules they all fear.
Their fathers now all of them dead.
Only females live here.

Each one has well defined duties
And daily they must...

If we could apply all of our present technology,

Account for Things and Be Truthful
Local newspaper needs a finance and poetry page.

Successful people,
Who are disliked by others,
Must account for actions.

My Americanized Horn Haiku.
Usually no caps of punctuation.

Those who want you to
Account for things you have done;
Always be truthful.

Beating around bush;
Not considering all facts,
Create big problems.

Primary factor;
What people want to...

Cross River Gorillas
Cross River Gorillas, are critically endangered
because humans have encroached, on their land
They share ninety eight percent, of our human DNA
but there are some humans, who want them for pay

Gorillas function, with a developed social structure
and are led by adult males, known as silverbacks
They have a...

Premium Member A Letter To Home
I will never forget the day about
a year ago, I returned to a place
that used to be my house and home.

With my bride of 50 years by my side,
I tried to describe to her how I felt.
It was a very somber experience,
rather strange and feeling...

Trump Caused Rupture In Sculpture
Trump Caused Rupture In Sculpture

Trump caused another significant rupture,
That did create damage to social structure;
Face seeemed mean,
Right at the scene;
Swooped down and ate it up like a vulture.

Jim Horn

Trump sure has put us through a lot of
mental and emotional stress I must
confess and we need...
