Premium Member Christmas Eve
Santa’s sleighing high,
Among the starlit sky,
Mounds and mounds of toys,
For all the girls and boys.
Rudolph leads the trip,
Knows every curve and dip,
Rudolph knows his way so well,
Santa can relax, how swell!
Ho, ho ho he shouts,
Have never any doubts,
For every child, the elves
Have packed, lovely lovely...

All Regrets
All regrets, in every backward flashback
leave bitter tastes like remorseful morsels
left drowning in your tear welled eyes
each day was longer and lower
      lower and loathing
        exposed naked...

A Christmas Story Untold
As I read from PS It’s Poetry the children sat in wonder
While reading one persons poem I came across this untold story
This book written from long ago from around the globe
To late to enter into soups first anthology came this story untold

Sights of Coal Page...

Falling Snow
Outside the snow is falling
The children are sleighing
Sometimes they start snowballing
Outside the snow is falling
“Dinner is served”, their Mom is calling
The children don’t hear what she’s saying
Outside the snow is falling
The children are sleighing!...

The Circle of Life
The fog of dull moist clouds cloistered Earths hills

rolling slowly quietly assured with December’s presence
uncovering the steal bleakness of chills
the grey fox sought the superlative time stalking
hunting, one catch, the hare eating thorns, is captured
~
All rests except the fox, and the hawk that swoops...

Premium Member Of Winter's End
It was the last snowfall of winter's end
I went out sleighing with my best friend
Twelve inches of snow ~ sunny skies ~ a perfect blend
We trekked with cardboard boxes ~ around the bend

A long dirt path ~ through baron woods

      swinging heavy with flakes
winter's underbelly chilling fingers and toes

on a Kyiv hill
in wounded wisps of snow
two small girls in boxy blue snowsuits
        share the plastic toboggan
their push downward,...

Premium Member Before Christmas Night
As Rudolph practices flying, to lead for Santa's ride
Santa sits and watches him...with Donner by his side
Prancer's in the back round, head down and eating snow
To fill his belly and ready himself...when Santa says "let's go"

Dasher and Dancer and Comet and...

Nor'Easter
It slips in at night. Stealthy and low at first.
A few flakes pick up speed as the first low howl can be heard.
Wind howls against the house, branches scratching at the window like a cat trying to get in.
Heavy wet snow can be heard plastering...

So this,...

Sweltering Frostbite
Summer
Brutal, humid
Grilling, camping, hiking
Picnics, vacations, holidays, traditions
Sleighing, shivering, celebrating
Gentle, fresh
Winter

Wounded Without
Balance escapes malcontent minds
withered in worry, gazed through the blinds
Disconnected with the world outside

Yearn for release, all peace ceases
Guarded, distrustful, suspected malfeasance
Weary of those heart guarded treasons
People's intentions change like the seasons
    ...

Premium Member Winter Memory
I sing the coming of winter's cold
From the north, the harsh winds blow
The spreading drifts of pure white snow
And stories true, or so I'm told,
Of courting days when old folks young
Went sleighing bundled for chilly eve
While sharing thoughts they long believed,
Singing songs they...

Premium Member The New Year Is
A fresh venture;
White snow-clad earth and downhill sleighing;
A snow couple graces the yard; twig-hand in twig-hand,
They watch the world pass by.

Winter’s flesh-cutting bite is, healed by hot cocoa with ginger and Cinnamon;
It’s scent permeating the house.

Digging out will not happen today;...

Dasher and Dancer's Christmas Eve Call Offs
The reindeer were sleighing through the snow's glow,
Their journey smooth, with Christmas magic in tow.
But Cupid, Santa's reindeer, fell ill in the night's shade,
The journey stopped, and Santa's heart was dismayed.

Santa feared he'd miss Christmas, and children would fade,
But then he thought of their joy,...
