Best Skyey Poems
I can remember time of wonder
when you appeared before my eyes
like fleeting vision like a thunder,
pure queen of beauty and sunrise.
In tiresome longing of despair
in noisy troubles of ado
your tender voice was in my air
I saw sweet dreamings about you.
Years passed. A riot of rebellion
dispelled these dreamings of the past
I heard your tender voice so seldom
Your skyey features almost passed.
In wilderness of gloomy prison
I spent my very quiet days
without a deity and reason
to cry, to live, to love, to blaze.
And soul awakened with the wonder
and you are here before my eyes
like fleeting vision, like a thunder,
pure queen of beauty and sunrise.
In ecstasy my heart left prison
I have my deity and your face
inspires me. That is the reason
to cry, to live, to love, to blaze.
P.S. This translation of poem by Alexander Pushkin
If this fair flower blossom not, The bulbul will not sing,
Nor rose-buds make the garden smile welcoming in the spring;
If he is not the saki, then nor jar nor wine will be,
Nor in this world will tawhid shine, Nor your heart beat in you;
Yonder ethereal skyey tent, This great name still sustains,
And dancing to its music, flows the blood in Life’s own veins.
It is in the forests and the hills, And on the tranquil plains,
On the seas, in the arms of waves, In roar of hurricanes;
A music heard in China’s towns, Morocco’s desert-song,
And hid within each Muslim’s heart, It makes his faith grow strong.
Let all the peoples of the world see till the end of time,
How I have made this glorious name beyond all thought sublime!
That pupil of the eye of Earth, Soil only dark men tread,
That region where have always been your martyrs born and bred,
That land upon the hot sun’s lap, That land of al-hilal,
Which lovers fondly love to call The land of their Bilal,--
Is all a-quiver with this Name, Like trembling mercury,
Like pupils dark, in pools of light, It swims perpetually!
Your shield be wisdom, be your sword the flaming Love Divine,
My fond dervish! do you not know that all the world is yours?
All else but God is at your feet, If sounds your Takbeer great;
If you a Muslim truly are, Your effort is your fate.
To my Muhammad be but true, And you have conquered me;
The world is nothing you will command My Pen of Destiny.
Kalam e Iqbal (The Answer to complaint by Allah AlMighty to Pious Muslim on their Kind Complaint)
Translated By Aliza Kashmala Kiran.
Names, cities, colours,
Languages and flowers,
And we stay in the world of lovers,
And compose something good and new,
And the nature of this world is so pure and light,
And to live and to love is a great delight!
And this world is so sweet and young!
And every new life feels itself like a shining star,
We are childish merry creatures
Playing music in the skyey adventures,
Always young, free, healthy, wealthy,
Very strong and rich, and wise,
We are happy children of flowers
In the spaces of infinite love!
The length of days
that stretches ahead
promises me again
a skyey breadth,
a watery and windy
primeval union
of the Earth
and the Sky.
In their dark depths
and heady heights,
there I swim,
there I fly.
like a gigantic, bluish crystal bowl
turned upside down, the noon sky covers,
quietly watches, and sees us all;
and by its tenderness, the valley breeze
hushes down anxieties in us,
instilling a sense of joy, of peace.
The soul's lucidity so brilliant,
the peace of mind so pure, so poignant,
the delight of the heart so vibrant;
profound, glad feelings enwrapping me,
undulating breathing of the sea,
skyey freedom, sharpest eyes can't see.
To write on these no talents I've got,
a truly gifted poet I'm not,
no wondrous ways with words, not a lot;
at the moment, I can't find a way,
I have nothing coherent to say
of Life's beauty unfolding each day.
now that they've finally
ruled out cancer,
he staggers slow
in joyous unbelief,
stupefied by an
explosive relief;
and the length of days
that stretches ahead
promises him again
a skyey breadth
in the watery,
primeval union
of the green mountains
and the azure skies;
in their dark depths
and heady heights,
there he swims,
there he flies!
