Looking Out - My Shout Out

There was a time that we could see
Everything that we could be
You therefore look after me
And I will then take care of you
We though need to look after each other
Brothers, sisters and the others
Hope your wishes all come true
As I am looking out for you
And our family to

If You'Re a Witness Shout Out

Give God all the credit and all of the praise
For all that He's done for you during your hectic days
And if you're a witness to His miraculous deeds you need to shout out
So that your praise and worship of Him is never in doubt
No matter your situation or what you're facing in life
Don't get stuck on personal pain turn it over to Christ

When Jesus rode into the city on Palm Sunday
It was a triumphant, jubilant and very loud display
In attendance were those who believed, those who witnessed
and those who received His wonderful works
As well as the Pharisees, the haters, the hanger-oners and a few jerks
Yet Jesus rode on moving towards His destiny
He did not get stuck on His personal tragedy

We need to be like Jesus moving towards our fate
We need to be like Jesus and not hesitate
But let's not get it twisted we need to understand
That Jesus suffered most every bad thing that could happen to man
Betrayed,denied, condemned and criticized
Arrested, beaten, tortured and then crucified
But if you're a witness to the miracles that God has done
You need to give a shout out to Jesus the Christ His Son

Now Judas the Disciple had a weakness and love for coin
And the Devil used this against him to have it going on
Plotting and persuing his weakness to the extreme
Turning it into wickedness and underhanded schemes
But God had a predestined plan
He sent Mary Magdalene
Who anointed Jesus with precious perfume
In preparation for His body being entombed

On Palm Sunday on that donkey Jesus did ride
On Monday and Tuesday at the temple He sermonized
On Spy Wednesday a deadly and underhanded deal was put into place
On Maunday Thursday at the Last Supper they broke bread after saying grace
And on Good Friday from Sun up to sundown He was demoralized
And beaten the entire time until He was crucified

But that is not how the week came to end
On Easter Sunday Jesus arose to be the salvation for all men
So if you're a witness to the goodness and the sacrificing love of Jesus the Christ
Give Him a shout out for being the head of your life

Grebe Lodge Shout-Out

(A little poem written at a research station)

Adventurous cottagers challenge blue waters
They feel as homely as the gulls screaming ‘mine!’
With white sails they traverse the great blue horizon
Expanses of Canadian beauty – a shrine.

The waves they come crashing on limestone beaches,
With crustacean fossils from eons ago,
While people keep trodding and paying no mind,
They step over history they’ll now never know.

Oh Grebe Lodge, near an alvar, in Wingfield Basin,
You host many minds intrigued by your treasures,
Unsung insect heroes, the great tree-topped bluffs,
And all in between, a naturalist’s pleasures!

Still tourists fly great distances to seek beauty,
Ontario: what a home we inhabit!
Yet we plunder and pillage without reservation,
How lucky we are, we don’t often deserve it.

The shipwrecks that litter the Bay and its neighbours,
They carry ghost sailors of centuries past,
With mysteries untold amidst scattered cargo,
The people, the vessels, are resting at last.

The islands like flower pots and caves unexplored,
Attracting spelunkers from far and from wide,
The Sturgeon returning like fossils reviving,
Miraculous homecoming brought in by the tide.

How fortunate are we all on the Georgian Bay,
Where the waters are freezing and get very deep,
Just maybe, dear Nature if you would allow us,
We might one day discover the secrets you keep.

Premium Member Shout Out To Mister Rogers

Fifty-one years ago, today, on September 21, 1967, Kindness appeared in the form of Fred McFeely Rogers, with his neighborhood of make-believe. We allowed him to enter our homes and support us in encouraging our children, building in them a strong sense of self and acceptance of others. Parents who took time to share the experience were shown the power of kindness and the beneficial effect it could have on their children's development, both physically and mentally. Fred Rogers received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, 40 honorary degrees, and a Peabody Award, in addition to other honors. The Smithsonian Institution displays one of his trademark sweaters as a "Treasure of American History." Fred Rogers died on February 27, 2003, at the age of 74.

sure as the sun’s warmth
your kindness was felt by all…
you were our neighbor

Shout Out To a Love

I want the whole world to know,
So I’ll shout it out real loud.
I love you for what you do,
Not for what you can give.
I love you, for who you are,
Not for what you have.
I love you for all your concern,
Not because you do not care.
I love you and all your honesty,
Not by you telling me any lies.
I love you with all my heart,
Not ever am I denied your respect.
I love you from the breath of my being,
Not ever will I just let it all go.

Shout Out Einstein

2/1/23

Shout out to Einstein
How has it not already been a sign of the times?
What a tragedy the way that Christ died
Too real it's lifesize
To this day we got all these wise guys
Full of white lies
Critically endangered species, while humans live with nine lives
Bodies of water becoming quite dry
Or turning into a high tide
Products on a continual price rise
Looking up at the night sky
What good it did for me being a nice guy
Only to be stabbed in the back by knives
Over five times
Experienced firsthand and seen through my eyes
The corrupt continue to hide crimes
Controlling public knowledge as they disguise finds
So out of the loop as time flies

I'll admit
Across all continents
People want peace and quiet or acknowledgement
Actions come with consequence
Or the opposite

I'm always on intoxicants
Yet to permanently call it quits
Remaining off the
Took y'all long enough, do you got the pic?

Sick of hearing it, you're too soft
I don't want what you want
In my mind more important matters do haunt

Grew up a poor kid
I'm more concerned with our origin
Than taking sides with all these opposing forces

I search for evidence on Aliens
Instead of just studying *****sapiens
They're upset by my actions, but I can't relate to them

I will do my best to study the unknown
Since they deny it all when so much is shown
Constantly they just judge and drone

So quick to paint pictures
Toxic like the fumes of paint thinner
The same as taking one too many painkillers

Not even making similar pay figures
Picking fights with grape pickers
Still it's the same strictures

I Need To Shout Out To Jelly Roll

I need to shout out to Jelly Roll.
For sharing this beautifully written song.
Touches so deeply inside us.
Emotions we all feel so strong.
So many way's to process.
Reminisceing what was lost.
Sometimes we learn the hard way.
Which usually comes with highest costs.
We often take for granted.
These moments til they've passed.
Then we wish to have them back.
But we all know better than that.
I listen to the melody.
Which comes as a positive relief.
Not always do we want to cry.
With sadness from our grief.
We all have felt this pain.
Despair of being with out.
Losing our way or finding ourselves.
Sometimes needing to reroute.
If we make it to our destination.
Indeed to find the smoking section.
Then you know your missions complete.
You took the right direction.
I don't know much about cleaning swamps.
Fighting alligators is not my forte.
But if I could inspire just one person,
who can relate to this the same way.
I would roll one up for everybody.
Rather in Heaven or still here.
I believe they miss us just as much.
They are up there smokin and drinkin beer.

Food Hate Shout Out - My Blue Cheese Poetry Contest

There one very peculiar foodstuff
that puts a sour crook in my mouth
It’s that stringy don’t-give-me-any-of,
two thumbs down for the sauerkraut
Just the awful smell of it makes me sick,
has me running out of the house so quick
When my nose whiff this jar of pain opening,
that chef in the kitchen no longer’s my friend
That pickled odor is an aroma of pure disgust,
makes a beautiful snooz look like a pig snout
Upheaval of my belly contents is a queasy must:
Gotta give sauerkraut the food hate shout out!

Shout Out To April

I shout out to April,
where have you been,
are you hiding in the
pocket of spring?

Hints of your presence
are scattered here and there
as tulips pop up with their bright heads,
peeking around in the misty air.

Fresh spring rain washes your budding hair,
making it shine for all to see,
as newly-arrived birds appear,
singing their songs for you and me.

April, your arrival is fleeting,
always placing one foot out the door,
you are a guest with a short-term agenda,
here today and disappearing for a year once more.

I look forward to seeing you again
with your mystical wand waving about,
spreading spring time relief to the cold ground
by warming all when we give you a shout.

A Little Shout-Out

When friends or family make a call
Or text or email, I embrace
Their reaching out, for there is love
In every case of touching base.

A little shout-out’s all I need
To let me know they think of me.
I do the same since now, of course,
We’re all considered “absentee.”

A written note sent through the mail
(So rare these days) works just as well
As one I read upon a screen
And, even better, I can tell

A lot about a person’s mood
In phone calls, for within that voice
Are hints of why the call’s been made –
To rant, seek solace or rejoice.

And lastly, there is FaceTime, Zoom
Or Messenger, with face-to-face
But all, to me, complete the job
Of taking time for touching base.

Shout Out

Shout out loud my people, for all the misery and pain that you are going through

Shout out for the pain in your body that suffer tomorrow, and is unexplainable to find

Shout out for lost dreams, and destroy unsettled minds

Shout out for every child who does not have a dream

Shout out for character, respect, integrity, peace and progress streams

Shout out if you hear him calling your name, over and over again

Shout out for trying to cope with life troubles and problems, that are lost, and hard

to find

Shout out for peace, love, joy, happiness and mankind

I Shout Out

My mind is so distorted
All these thoughts go unsorted
It's time for desperate measures
Not taken by the urban pleasures
Thoughts of you go through my mind
There is no bad that I can find
At least one thing I know is true
And it's that my love is real for you
I know that you love me
And together forever, we will be
No emotions between us can go un taken
The realness of our love can't be mistaken
I shout out to the world what's true
Baby, I shout out "I love you"
Though my mind is so confused
I know I'm not just being used
The feelings between us are real
It's simply just how we both feel
I love you with all my heart
And I promise you I will not part
My love for you is forever
Indestructable, one can not sever
A thousand miles between us stands
But my heart still lies in your hands
I shout out to the world what's true
Baby, I shout out "I love you"

Send Me a Shout Out

Send me a shout out
Through the window
Light..

While the sun rain
Down and my mind
Soars..

Upon the wind the
Embers rise..

Filling my heart with
A song much like the
Soul serenade by King
Curtis Blue..

Just sip thy nectar of
The remnants of life..

While the sun rain
Down and my mind
Soars..
